TG's best landmarks a result of KCR's vision: BRS
Hyderabad: Stating that former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had the capacity to construct world renowned constructions, BRS senior leader Vemula Prashanth Reddy on Monday said that those who said they will wipe out the traces of KCR were now showcasing those traces to the world.
The BRS leader said that the traces like the Telangana Secretariat, Police Command Control Centre, and Yadadri Temple were the milestones of Telangana built during KCR's rule. 'They are great constructions, not clay writings that will be destroyed and wiped out. They are the monuments of KCR that will remain forever as long as the state of Telangana exists,' said MLA Vemula.
The BRS leader said that the structures built by KCR to make the world know the greatness of Telangana with the contestants who came to the Miss World pageant, the Secretariat, Police Command Control, Yadadri Temple, and the royal trends, which were said to be removed from the symbol of Telangana, have become the master pieces for this government.
Similarly, the Martyrs' Memorial Torch symbol built by KCR to keep the sacrifice of Telangana's martyrs burning continuously in the hearts of the people of Telangana, and to inspire the rulers to work for the weaker sections. Similarly, if the 125-feet Ambedkar statue complex built by KCR was also shown to the Miss World contestants, the history of Telangana, the sacrifice of the martyrs, and the greatness of the writer of the Constitution, Dr BR Ambedkar, would have been spread across the worldwide, he suggested. Prashanth Reddy said that during the last ten years of KCR's rule, Telangana was the leader in all sectors in the country. Due to Revanth Reddy's incompetent administration, Telangana is deteriorating day by day in all sectors, he alleged. People from all sections of society are facing difficulties under the rule of the Congress party and Revanth Reddy, he alleged.

Plea in Kerala HC against converting fuel bunk toilets into public facilities as per revised Swachh guidelines
Kochi: A petition has been filed in the high court challenging the action of the local self-govt institutions, which convert the private toilets on the premises of the petroleum retail outlets to public toilets as per the revised guidelines of the Swachh Bharat Mission - Urban. Justice C S Dias, on the petition filed by the Petroleum Traders Welfare and Legal Service Society and four of its members who own petrol bunks, directed the govt to produce the revised guidelines of the Swachh Bharat Mission - Urban. The court further adjourned the petition to Monday. The petitioners stated in the petition that the local self-govt authorities were illegally converting/treating private toilets maintained within the premises of their retail outlets as public toilets and pasting posters on a conspicuous portion of the toilets along with certain switches that seem to indicate that the same is to be used for feedback. Similarly, posters including QR codes were also affixed in toilets for feedback, they stated. The petitioners argued that the alleged action of the local self-govt institutions is a violation of Article 300A of the Constitution, which guarantees protection from being deprived of the proper and independent enjoyment of private properties falling within the realm of private ownership. They further raised security concerns, contending that the decision would lead to unauthorised public access to petrol retail outlets, significantly increasing the risk of fire and other catastrophic incidents due to the influx of people in a restricted area. The petitioners further sought a directive to the state govt and the local self-govt institutions to refrain from converting/treating private toilets maintained within the premises of the petrol retail outlets within the state as public toilets and also for a general declaration against treating such private toilets as public toilets. Bar bodies urge Pakistan SC to revisit May 7 judgment on military trials of civilians
Islamabad: The Lahore High Court Bar Association and Lahore Bar Association have asked the Supreme Court to revisit and set aside the May 7 judgment on military trials of civilians , a media report said on Saturday. The two separate petitions filed on Friday are the second set of such challenges following an earlier petition submitted by former chief justice of Pakistan Jawwad S Khawaja , the Dawn newspaper reported. AP conspiring to illegally divert Godavari water to non-basin areas: Harish Rao
HYDERABAD The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has accused the Andhra Pradesh Government of conspiring to 'divert Godavari water on a large-scale, 200 tmc ft a year initially and 400 tmc ft later, to outer basin areas in that State, particularly to the Krishna and Penna basins at the cost of riparian rights of Telangana within the basin'. 'However, our Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy was keeping mum on the issue, and so were the two Union Miniters G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar,' senior BRS leader and former minister for irrigation T. Harish Rao alleged while making a detailed powerpoint presentation on the Polavaram (Godavari)-Banakacherla (Krishna) Link here on Saturday. 'AP is conspiring for huge water theft without seeking any clearances and approvals, including by the Godavari and Krishna River Management boards (GRMB & KRMB), the Apex Council and statutory agencies such as the Central Water Commission (CWC), GWDT and KWDT and others,' Mr. Harish Rao said. He added that tenders for the project to be taken up with ₹80,000 crore were being called in the month-end and the Centre had also offered 50% of the funding as part of the interlinking of rivers (ILR) and the remaining as borrowing facility beyond the Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (FRBM) limits. He also wrote against Kalwakurthy LIS, Palamuru-Rangareddy LIS, Bhakta Ramadasu LIS (SRSP tail-end), Tummilla LIS (RDS) and others, all aimed at serving the designed ayacut, to meet shortage of flows in the original plan. He alleged that AP was conspiring to divert Godavari water to claim rights on it in the future by seeking re-allocation of water by the GWDT (Godavari Water Disputes Tribunal). He stated that Telangana had allowed AP to draw 72.2% of the Krishna water (577 tmc ft) against the adhoc arrangement of 512 tmc ft during the last water year. Similarly, for the first time since its formation Telangana had drawn 244 tmc ft (27.8%) against its adhoc share of 34% (299 tmc ft). Mr. Harish Rao demanded that the Telangana Government convene and all-party meet to stop exploitation by AP, convene a special session of the Assembly to discuss the issue, move the Supreme Court and also stop lining of the Srisailam Right Main Canal of the Srisailam Right Bank Canal project to allow carry 90,000 cusecs of water from Pothireddypadu Head Regulator (PRP-HR) from the existing 44,000 cusecs.
