Andrew Choi also praised BTS' Jungkook for noticing a minor mistake in the lyrics of Soda Pop.
Netflix's animated film, KPop Demon Hunters, has become a global sensation following its release in June. From its unique storyline to the amazing soundtrack, the film is surely one of the most viral things of this year. It has gotten so popular that even the K-pop supergroup, BTS, couldn't stop raving about it. The septet joined some dance challenges and even tried their hands at singing the songs from the movie.
Now, Andrew Choi, the voice who sings for the character Jinu of Saja Boys in KPop Demon Hunters, has shared thoughts on BTS' Jungkook singing Soda Pop. He praised the Golden Maknae, highlighting his ability to sing the song with much ease.
In a video shared by the Straits Times, Andrew was listening to the covers of the songs of KPop Demon Hunters by other artists, when he was shown Jungkook's impromptu version of Soda Pop. Upon listening to it, he said, 'The thing that I love about Jungkook is that he sings with such ease, which is a sign of a true vocalist. Jungkook's performance is 11 out of 10."
Andrew Choi Thanked Jungkook For Pointing Out The Mistake In Soda Pop's Lyrics
As the clip played further, Andrew noticed that Jungkook had identified a minor mistake in the lyrics of Soda Pop that no one else had caught earlier. Not even the singer himself until the BTS member pointed it out. Jungkook revealed that a particular Korean word was spelt backwards in the lyrics. 'I didn't even notice it. No one seemed to have noticed it until Jungkook took a listen to it. So thank you, Jungkook, for that," Andrew shared in the clip.

In another segment with the same media outlet, Andrew assembled his own Saja Boys, revealing which K-pop idol or actor he would cast as the members of the demon idol group. His first pick obviously was BTS' Jungkook. 'I mean, hands down, he's just perfect," the singer said. For his lead dancer and rapper, he chose NCT's Mark. He explained his choice, saying, 'He has the best rap voice I've ever heard on an idol. And also, the way he dances is just different. He got this extra level of swag that you don't see anywhere else.
As the visual of the group, Andrew chose Cha Eun Woo, an actor and member of the K-pop band ASTRO. He mentioned that he was 'shocked" by the beauty of Eun Woo. He finished off the list with some of K-pop's strong vocalists, such as EXO's Baekhyun or D.O., and Day6's Young K.

Indian dance troupe mesmerises packed auditorium in Israel

Haifa (Israel), Aug 4 (PTI) India enthusiasts in Israel descended on the northern Israeli coastal city of Haifa on Monday evening to witness a rich and impressive dance performance that blended the traditional Indian dance form of Odissi with modern styles, including fusion, Bollywood, urban dance and even some shades of Middle-Eastern influences. Young dancers from the Indian dance troupe Amaiza, founded by dancer and choreographer Nitisha Nanda, known for her appearances in leading reality shows 'So You Think You Can Dance India" and 'India's Got Talent", gave a captivating performance in front of a packed Beit Aba Hushi auditorium, with the 500 people in the audience often cheering in delight. The Embassy of India in Israel, in collaboration with the Haifa Municipality, the Indian Cultural Centre and the Port of Haifa, hosted the vibrant cultural event, 'celebrating the deepening friendship between India and Israel". The northern Israeli coastal city of Haifa has a deep connection with India, having been liberated from the Ottomans in 1918 by Indian soldiers, and Major Dalpat Singh is known as the 'Hero of Haifa" for leading a successful cavalry charge that shocked military historians by its sheer audacity. 'We were taught in school that the British liberated Haifa, but I later learned that it was Indian soldiers who shed their blood to free the city," Haifa Mayor Yona Yahav told the audience. 'Once a year, we gather at the city's cemetery to honour the Indian soldiers who gave their lives to protect us," Yahav said, emphasising the city's strong bond with India. 'The relationship between India and Israel, especially with the city of Haifa, is built on trust, mutual respect and lasting friendship," India's Ambassador to Israel, J P Singh, said. 'This cultural performance is dedicated to the people of Haifa, a city with which India shares deep historical bonds. During World War I, Indian soldiers sacrificed their lives in the Battle of the Liberation of Haifa," Singh stressed. Dalpat Singh made the ultimate sacrifice in that battle, which the Indian cavalry forces fought bravely under dire circumstances to inscribe their names in the last 'major cavalry charge in history". The performance in Haifa mesmerised the audience with its passion, precision and energy, showcasing both the traditional and contemporary spirit of Indian culture. It was an evening of colour, rhythm and movement — a powerful artistic experience that left a lasting impression on the Israeli audience. The event marked the festive launch of the troupe's Israel tour, with upcoming performances scheduled at Netanya on August 5, Or Akiva on August 6 and Kibbutz Mishmar HaEmek on August 7. BTS faces backlash over alleged Michael Jackson collaboration: ‘Literally no one wants this'

BTS may be about to enter their most controversial decade to date. According to reports, the South Korean supergroup is working on a top-secret tribute project as they get ready for their reunion: recording an unreleased song that was originally written for Michael Jackson . The song was recorded during Jackson's 2006 stay in Ireland at the Grouse Lodge studio, where he worked on an unfinished album. Paddy Dunning, the owner of the studio, recently disclosed that BTS came to re-record one of those long-lost songs there last year. "The sessions started last year, and we have already had the Korean boy band BTS over with us in Grouse Lodge, recording one of the songs," Dunning said in an interview with The Irish Sun. "There are about ten more, written especially for Michael by the collaborators he worked with in Ireland, including producer Rodney Jerkins and rapper Nephew, who have signed up for the project." In addition to the music, Dunning revealed that a documentary about Jackson's contented life in Ireland with his kids is currently in development. 'Michael's estate told me to plough ahead with this because, like me, they see it as a tribute to Michael. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Cesar Millan Reveals What Honey Does to Your Aging Dog Experts In Pet Health Learn More Undo And for the documentary, we're going to get everyone's memories of working with Michael in Ireland," he continued. During a trip to the United States, the owner even had the opportunity to meet Prince, Jackson's oldest son. Prince allegedly stated that he, Paris, and Blanket hope to visit the studio again in the future as they discussed the family's stay at Grouse Lodge. Netizens are not overjoyed Although the partnership is being marketed as a tribute, online responses seem to indicate otherwise. While many fans are excited, many others are suspicious, if not outright annoyed. One user on X questioned, "Have Michael Jackson's family and estate approved of this?" Another user commented, "I don't have anything against them, but their style/sound has nothing in common with MJ... This song will NOT be good.' "They're so desperate, oh my goodness," one fan commented, while another added, "If anyone had the honor of this, it should have been Gaga. " One user questioned, "Who asked for this, no shade?" while another said bluntly, "They're not even close to Michael Jackson's level, mind you… so that's a lot of nerve.' Some were even more severe. One person said, "This is so disrespectful; we need to cancel BTS now." Another said, 'They're going to ruin it.' 'Literally no one wants this. K-pop, stop biting off of other artists challenge!', according to another comment. Another said, 'They're doing anything for a comeback clearly.' "Who are they to even touch Michael Jackson's music?" said another. It's undeniable that BTS has always admired Jackson, even in spite of the criticism. In many respects, their English hit song Dynamite was a visual and vocal tribute to the King of Pop. In addition, the group has consistently stated that he is an inspiration to them, even receiving an honorary mention in his documentary Thriller 40 (2023). Time (and streaming numbers) will tell if this new project turns out to be a musical misstep or a heartfelt tribute, but it might just be an extension of that same respect.

Tamannaah Bhatia Swears By Morning 'Thook' For Pimples, Fans Say ‘It Actually Works'

Last Updated: Tamannaah Bhatia says she uses morning spit on her face to prevent pimples before brushing. Social media reacts, some call it effective, others call it risky. Tamannaah Bhatia, fondly known as the 'Milky Beauty' in the South Indian film industry, has always left fans curious about the secret behind her flawless skin. Recently, she made a surprising revelation that's left the internet buzzing. In an interaction with The Lallantop, Tamannaah shared a rather unconventional skincare ritual: she uses her morning saliva on her face to avoid pimples and it must be done before brushing her teeth. When Tamannaah casually mentioned this morning ritual during the interview, the room collectively gasped. Even the host appeared visibly stunned. 'Before brushing, just thook (spit)," she laughed, leaving everyone in splits. But she was serious and it turns out she's not alone in this. As clips from the interview went viral, many social media users came forward to agree with Tamannaah's unique hack. One fan commented, 'I thought I was the only one doing that," while another added, 'She is true, using this hack since years." Some even claimed the method works for eye infections as well, citing old household remedies. 'The saliva immediately after you wake up… use it for eye infection… it works there too," read one comment. However, not everyone is convinced. Several users raised concerns about the scientific validity of the trick. One sceptical user explained, 'Saliva does have antibacterial enzymes, but they are not strong enough to treat acne-causing bacteria effectively. Pimples are caused by more than just bacteria—clogged pores, excess oil, and inflammation play a big part. Saliva doesn't fix those." Despite the polarising opinions, the conversation sparked by Tamannaah's beauty secret has been an interesting mix of surprise, nostalgia, and debate. Whether you believe in the 'morning spit remedy" or not, it certainly makes for a memorable skincare confession. On the work front, Tamannaah was recently seen grooving to the track Nasha from Raid 2. She will next be seen opposite Ajay Devgn in Ranger. Additionally, she is also working on TVF's ambitious mythological project Vvan alongside Sidharth Malhotra. Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
