Amid the success of his film, several throwback videos and pictures of the actor have re-surfaced on social media. One such old video shows him addressing his fans during an Instagram live. In the video, he mentioned that while people think he is very extroverted, he also has a 'shy' side to him. In the video, he talked about surprising his sister Alanna by visiting her in Los Angeles, and said that he got so shy when meeting her after a year and a half.
A throwback video of Ahaan Panday that is going viral on his fan pages shows him talking about meeting his sister Alanna after 1.5 years. 'I surprised Alanna a month ago and went to LA for the first time in my life. I had never been to LA before—it was my first visit. And obviously, I missed her so much. I hadn't seen her in a year and a half. People don't realize this, but I have two sides to me. I have this one side that's very very extroverted. But there's this other side of me. I get very shy, so it's weird. Because when I saw her…I got so shy. I know she is my own sister. But I was so shy seeing her. I was like 'I'm seeing Alanna after a year and a half'." The cousin-duo channelled their inner Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol to portray the beloved characters Rahul and Anjali, and left fans impressed with their acting skills!
Interestingly, years before his Bollywood debut with Saiyaara, Ahaan gained popularity through Dubsmash videos where he frequently recreated memorable Bollywood scenes.
Meanwhile, Saiyaara has broken records at the box office! The film, which released in July 18, collected a whopping Rs 319.85 crore net in India so far, and approximately Rs 538.25 crore in worldwide collection.

Midnight flag-hoisting to patriotic songs: Bengaluru soaks in the I-Day spirit

BENGALURU: Bengaluru is showing no signs of slowing down when it comes to patriotism — Tricolours fluttered across the city, with schools dancing to 'Des Rangeela', a popular track from 2006 Bollywood flick 'Fanaa', and homes distributing sweets paired with heartfelt speeches on Friday. The roads saw lines of autorickshaws with big national flags fastened to them, driving around the city. While Tiranga yatras, NCC cadets, and school marching contingents added to the patriotic passion, maestro AR Rahman's 'Vande Mataram' playing loud and proud from school speakers reminded one of the respect and reverence deeply felt for the nation. The celebrations began as early as midnight, with people gathering for traditional midnight Tricolour-hoisting ceremonies. Across the city, officials conducted flag-hoisting events and delivered brief speeches, recalling the sacrifices of freedom fighters. At the MG Railway Colony, DRM Ashutosh Kumar Singh hoisted the national flag and inspected the RPF and student parade. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah laid a wreath at the statue of Krantivira Sangolli Rayanna, while at Bharat Vidya Sansthan, Colonel MS Khaira (retd) and president Nirmal Kumar addressed students, reminding them that freedom comes with responsibility. Educational institutions across the city also marked the day with enthusiasm. At IIIT-B, students, faculty and staff took part in cultural programmes and renewed their commitment through the 'Panch Pran' oath. Cultural organisations and public art spaces also joined in the celebrations, hosting dance and music performances featuring young artists. Besides, several corporate firms lit up their offices in shades of the Tricolour, and are organising week-long activities to mark the occasion.

Mouni Roy: I do feel a divine connection with Krishna and Bhagavad Gita

For Mouni Roy, Krishna Janmashtami is more than a festival as the actor feels an unspoken bond that connects her and Lord Krishna. Such strong has been her faith in him that the actor took a special class to study the scripture and shares how it changed her as a person. 'Studying the Bhagavad Gita was a transformative experience for me. It deepened not just my understanding of Lord Krishna's teachings, but also helped me reflect on life with more clarity and calm. Now, I don't just read the Gita. I try to live it, even when life tests me the most,' she says. Mouni Roy(Photo: Instagram) Mouni Roy reflects on Krishna Janmashtami celebrations in her family when she was a child. 'Growing up, Janmashtami was a very festive occasion at home. My family would decorate the puja room beautifully. We'd do Krishna abhishekam, sing bhajans, and stay up till midnight for Lord Krishna's janma aarti,' she shares, adding, 'Over the years, the celebrations have become quieter, more introspective. While I may not always be home with family now, I make it a point to read some chapters from the Bhagavad Gita and take some time out to chant his mantra. The external rituals may have changed, but the devotion remains the same.' Remembering her memories of Janmashtami, Mouni says, 'I have many fond memories, but what I treasure most is the joy of celebrating together as a family, decorating the puja space, singing bhajans, and staying up till midnight for the aarti. Those moments of togetherness and devotion are what make the festival truly special for me.' The actor adds, 'For me, the most special part is the spirit of devotion that surrounds the day, from the music and prayers to the sense of peace it brings. This year, I plan to keep it simple, with a puja and some quiet time to reflect.' Coincidentally, Mouni's acting journey began with a character that had his name in it, and she calls it a divine intervention. 'Yes, that's something I've often thought about. My first TV role was Krishna Tulsi in Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, and I've always felt it was more than just a coincidence. That name, that role, in a way marked the beginning of my artistic journey. So, I do feel a divine connection with him and I'm deeply grateful for it,' she says.
