Kansas City Chiefs icons
Travis Kelce
and Patrick Mahomes may dominate on the football field, but their latest off-field venture—a high-end steakhouse called 1587 Prime—is facing some serious delays just months before its planned grand opening.
Located in downtown Kansas City's upscale Loews Hotel, the much-hyped restaurant is being marketed as a luxury hotspot blending fine dining with a football stadium vibe. But while Chiefs fans were expecting to enjoy ribeyes and red-zone replays under the same roof by late summer, insiders say construction problems could put those plans on ice.
Construction delays raise questions about opening timeline
Recent footage from inside 1587 Prime has cast doubt on whether the space will be ready in time. The footage shows exposed framing, unfinished kitchen installations, and an overall construction zone far from completion. With
NFL
training camp around the corner, both Mahomes and Kelce have shifted their focus to football, leaving their hospitality partners at Noble 33 to carry the weight.
The global restaurant group—known for trendy destinations like Meduza Mediterrania in New York—is tasked with turning the unfinished space into a two-story steakhouse experience unlike any other in Kansas City.
Steakhouse meets stadium: What fans can expect
The vision for 1587 Prime is ambitious. Guests will enter through a 'stadium tunnel' leading to a host stand and a premium meat display modeled after an Arrowhead Stadium walkout. The first floor will feature sleek kitchens and a central wine wall, while the second story boasts an open-air kitchen and bar area showing exclusively Chiefs games.

Private dining rooms and a VIP suite are also part of the plan. One unique touch? A celebrity viewing area with a two-way mirror, offering high-profile guests—like Taylor Swift—privacy while soaking in the ambiance.
While the menu has yet to be revealed, it's expected to center around American steakhouse classics—porterhouse, filet, strip cuts—with a focus on luxury that's 'still accessible,' a nod to Kelce and Mahomes' blue-collar Midwestern roots.

With the NFL season approaching fast, all eyes are now on Noble 33. Will they finish in time for the fall rush and capitalize on game-day crowds? Or will the Chiefs' off-field playbook need a last-minute adjustment?
One thing's certain: 1587 Prime may be about football and fine dining—but right now, the clock is ticking.

What to watch this week: ‘F1', ‘The Bear' and more
This popular American series is back for its fourth season. Carmy (Jeremy Allen White), Sydney (Ayo Edebiri), Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) and the others are working hard to make their fine-dining restaurant a success while dealing with their personal demons and nurturing their dreams. The third season seemed to get stuck in the mud at various points, so it will be interesting to see if the new one hits the ground running. (JioHotstar) A former Formula One driver is coaxed out of retirement to help mentor a talented newcomer. F1 is directed by Joseph Kosinski, who made the hit Top Gun sequel, Maverick. The film stars Brad Pitt, Damson Idris, Kerry Condon, Tobias Menzies and Javier Bardem. (In theatres) 'The Old Guard 2' The Old Guard (2020) didn't rewrite the rules of the comic book film but nevertheless had a distinctively melancholic take on duty and a stark quality to its violence. The primary cast returns for this sequel: Charlize Theron, Luca Marinelli, Matthias Schoenaerts, Vân Veronica Ngô and Chiwetel Ejiofor, with Uma Thurman joining. The film, about immortal warriors whose task of defending earth comes at a personal cost, is directed by Victoria Mahoney and written by Greg Rucka, who wrote the graphic novels on which the film is based. (Netflix) Monk was a standout American detective series in the 2000s, starring Tony Shalhoub as a sleuth with OCD. The show, which ran for eight seasons, now has an official Hindi adaptation. Stepping into Shalhoub's shoes is Ram Kapoor (Udaan, Neeyat). He's joined by the very watchable Mona Singh and Shikha Talsania. (JioHotstar)

'I'm Going to Have to F**king Say Something':Tectone Calls Out Twitch for Telling Him to Stay Quiet
Image via: YouTube/@Tectone John 'Tectone,' a significant streaming influencer, has brought new fire to the Twitch criticism flame after his recent suspension. On June 26, 2025, the streamer was hit with a seven-day ban following, according to him, a mass report campaign from followers of fellow streamer Denims. The original incident that triggered this backlash came when Tectone used the term 'fuckdoll' when talking about Denims' OnlyFans content. What came next, as described by Tectone, was a targeted and malicious smear campaign full of defaming and baseless allegations such as him being a 's**ual predator who beats women." Twitch's Response: 'Just Ignore It' In a subsequent video statement, Tectone disclosed that Twitch actually reached out to him privately, telling him that he should shut up about the attacks. "They (Twitch) sent me a DM on how to deal with this. And they told me to just ignore them. That's their solution. They want me to just ignore them. Guys, Twitch, you telling me to just ignore them is you telling me to have people send me career-ending false allegations, going after my friends, going after my friends' dead f*king parents, and just ignoring them. What type of disgusting f*king monsters do you have to be, to expect me to be able to be defamed, slandered, have my livelihood ripped away from me!" The apparent inaction from Twitch has understandably left the streamer infuriated, who claims the advice to keep quiet has instead made him feel powerless as he's been subjected to a torrent of harassment and slander. Tectone was unrepentant, going so far as to say that he refuses to stop, even if it leads to additional bans. He maintains that he's not trying to inflame racial bias or violate any policies. He's reacting to what he believes are coordinated, misleading attacks designed to end his career. A Double Standard? By not stepping in to contest the harmful and damaging allegations that Denims and her community are spreading, Tectone feels that Twitch is, at best, letting targeted harassment go unchecked. Tectone's latest explosion on the issue highlights a more troubling problem that many creators have been sounding the alarm on. Platforms' reactions when streamers get hit by bullshit claims or an online mob. To him, Twitch's encouragement to simply 'ignore it' isn't only useless advice. It's an abdication of responsibility to shield creators from tangible harm. As he keeps fighting back, this case can not only go much further, but trigger more important conversations around streamer safety, moderation policy, and the impact of public shaming on streaming platforms.
