A huge fast food chain has teamed up with a popular toy brand to give away a cult item that is 'taking over the world' in its Happy Meals.
Macca's has announced Squishmallows — a brand of soft, plush toys known for its 'marshmallow-like' texture — will be available in its popular kids meals from May 29.
The brand will have 14 characters available with expressions that are exclusive to the fast food chain. These included Rossi, the purple cheetah with pink spots, and Charles, the winking green pickle.
But, there are even characters who are debuting as part of the range.
This includes Halley, the intergalactic axolotl, and Theotto, a monster with dragon wings. Theotto is only available in Australia and New Zealand.
As well as the physical toys themselves, there is also a scannable code that features a digital game.

Amanda Nakad, the marketing director of menu and brand for McDonald's Australia, said: 'We're all about connecting our fans to culture, and these squishable plushies are all the rage right now so we're bringing the search for Squishmallows to Australia.
'This limited-time Happy Meal brings a taste of the viral toy sensation to Macca's, with the first McDonald's Squishmallows Squad. Whether you're joining the hunt to collect them all or just looking for a dose of happiness, there's a Squishmallow for every kind of fan with this new Happy Meal.'
Meanwhile, Gerhard Runken, the executive vice president of brand and marketing for the company that makes Squishmallows, said: 'Our first McDonald's Happy Meal collaboration received such a massive global response that we're bringing it to Australia for the very first time.
'We couldn't think of a better way to celebrate our fans than with a Happy Meal featuring character favourites with unique, never-before-seen happy expressions and the debut of our newest Squishmallow Squad member Halley, making the search exciting as ever for fans worldwide.'

It's no surprise that Macca's has picked up this as its next Happy Meal toy, following the popularity of the item not only with children but with teenagers and adults too.
The 'kidult' trend — items designed for kids but popular with all ages — has taken off in recent months. Footage has shown Aussies lining up at 3am for Labubu, a furry plushie featuring a bizarre grin and sharp teeth.
The item has become the ultimate status-boosting item after soaring to popularity with huge celebrities such as Rihanna and Dua Lipa.
Designed by Hong Kong-born artist Kasing Lung, the product is sold by Chinese toy company Pop Mart following a collaboration with Lung on his story series book The Monsters, released in 2015.
A similar item — Jellycats — has also been a hit item with all ages, with David Jones telling news.com.au; 'We've seen strong demand for the brand and an increase in sales in not only their iconic bunny which they are best known for but also more niche/unique styles,' a David Jones spokesperson told news.com.au.
'There has also been a noticeable shift in the consumer who is buying this product, traditionally bought for children we have seen demand from Gen Z thanks to social media driving the trend among this group.'

Katy Perry shares Botox jetlag cure at Sydney gig
Don't miss out on the headlines from NSW. Followed categories will be added to My News. Australia gets Katy Perry because Katy Perry gets Australia. The pop superstar shook off the social media pile-ons of recent months to take a quintessential tall poppy potshot at herself at her opening Lifetimes concert in Sydney on Wednesday. When complaining of jetlagged tiredness, exacerbated by her daughter Daisy Dove waking her at 5am on the morning of her first Australian gig, Perry said she had come prepared for the challenge. 'You can't tell I'm tired because I got fresh Botox for Australia!' she declared to huge cheers from the audience. And the scream-o-meter, the true gauge of a concert's success, remained pushing into the red for the entirety of her two-hour neon pop dream at Qudos Bank Arena. They laughed again with her when she shared an on-stage wardrobe emergency, calling for an assistant to unzip her costume 'because I've been eating too many Tim Tams.' The last time Perry was down under last September, she roared at the MCG for a generally well-received AFL grand final performance worth a reported $5 million pay cheque. Her culture stocks in Australia proved to be buoyant when she announced her Lifetimes tour, with more than 170,000 tickets to 15 concerts in five capital cities selling out instantly. Since then she has been the subject of savage social media pile-ons for missteps, from working with controversial producer Dr Luke on her 143 record, and its lacklustre chart performance, to that Blue Origin celebrity space flight folly. But put Perry on a stage, in front of a sold-out crowd of true believers, the day after an epically suburban stop at a western Sydney shopping mall during rehearsals, and it is abundantly apparent the oversized outrage hasn't downsized the devotion of her fans. Their ranks have been bolstered by a sizeable contingent of tweens and teens who lapped up Perry's high-flying, fluoro-lit spectacle which was humanised by a generosity of spirit. The fans dressed to impress their idol in the costumes of her various eras, and squealed with delight when she launched into the dance breaks and light-sabre battles which were mocked online as cringey and awkward when the tour opened in Mexico in April, but make perfect sense within the context of the Lifetimes show. After all, she's playing a half-human, half-robot character in this video game-inspired concert, battling villainous machines on her mission to restore girl power and all the lovey-dovey stuff to counter the nasty world order. One of the highlights of the show happened during the Choose Your Own Adventure segment - which appears to be more pre-determined than granting the sign requests held up by fans in the front rows - when she brought fans on stage to perform Thinking of You from her 2008 album One of the Boys. The 18-year-old Left Shark superfan Elliott, who brought his two younger sisters and cousin to the show, was declared an MVP for his pop stewardship of his family, as the cute group from western Sydney joined her to play chicken egg-shakers during the song. It was a suitably heart-warming moment in a show that, by its hi-tech nature, is tightly choreographed. The Lifetimes show's intention is pure pop escapism soundtracked by a career-spanning collection of hits which have spun more than 25 billion streams and counting - albeit with a little too many of the misses from the 143 record. The Dark Horse pop queen may not possess the vocal chops and choreography skills of Beyonce, or the edgy dark pop drama of Billie Eilish, but this seasoned entertainer knows how to put on a great pop show. And she's got 14 more of them to perform in Australia before this leg of her world tour wraps at the end of the month. Oasis rock legend spotted catching train to stadium tour rehearsal
Don't miss out on the headlines from Music. Followed categories will be added to My News. Oasis's famously grouchy songwriter Noel Gallagher proved he's still a man of the people as he took the Tube to his band's rehearsals in London. The Britpop legends got together for their first full reunion practice session this week and Noel, 58, looked relaxed as he rode London's District Line. Dressed in all black, the bomber jacket wearing musician, who is worth an estimated $50m, was pictured sitting alone at Paddington Station before hopping aboard a train. It was a far cry from his rock 'n' roll star brother Liam's arrival as cameras clamoured to get a shot of him through the window of a car. It's only a genuine rock legend on the District Line. Picture: Click/Raw/ The 52-year-old frontman looked to have loaded up on cough syrup and Lockets, presumably a bid to protect his trademark raspy vocals. However, the sight of a box load of throat medicine is likely to leave ticketholders, particularly those at dates later in the run, feeling a little nervous about Liam's stamina. It was Liam who yesterday revealed the brothers Gallagher would be blowing off the cobwebs and belting out their classic tunes today ahead of their hotly-anticipated summer stadium shows. Petition to make this the next Oasis album cover. Picture: Click/Raw/ The group's last gig was at V Festival in 2009, before they split following a huge row backstage at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris. The former feuding brothers have now put their differences aside as they get ready for the tour of the decade which kicks off next month. Noel and the rest of the Oasis – bassist Andy Bell, guitarists Gem Archer and Paul 'Bonehead' Arthurs, and drummer Joey Waronker – have already kicked off rehearsals, but now it's time for Liam to join them. The singer revealed the news in a post on social media platform X. One fan asked: 'Happy Sunday man! Are you ready for rehearsals 'There are only a few days left and you're joining the others?' Liam replied: 'Yes Rasta D I'm in Tuesday to blow there minds [sic].' Another fan asked whether the Wonderwall singer was 'excited' to begin rehearsals, to which Liam replied: 'Can't wait.' This latest exciting news comes just days after The Sun revealed the real reason Oasis are getting back together. According to our sources, Noel's eldest daughter Anais Gallagher was instrumental in helping her famous father and his brother Liam get talking again. Liam and Noel Gallagher are back together – a reunion many never thought would happen. Picture: Supplied The model, who is from Noel's first marriage to Meg Mathews, got to work on healing the rift, following her dad's split from second wife Sara MacDonald. The 25-year-old figured the breakdown of her dad's marriage could be an opportunity for her dad to focus on getting Oasis back together, and also reconcile with his younger sibling. An insider said: 'Anais was one of the biggest sources of comfort and support for Noel following his divorce. 'She was the one that was helping him get back on his feet and return to doing things he loved that had fallen by the wayside. 'Over the years, Noel had offered an olive branch to Liam, but he'd never taken it up. 'Anais could tell her dad really wanted both his brothers, Liam and Paul, by his side after the split so was determined to get them back in touch. 'She gets on great with Liam's sons Gene and Lennon so she asked them if their dad would be willing to hear her out. Oasis' last gig was back in 2009. 'They said they thought he would be receptive, so she then asked Liam to reach out to his brother to lend support. 'Liam's always wanted Oasis back together so he got in touch.' The source said: 'It was all very slow-going behind the scenes to get the brothers talking again. 'Anais spending so much time with her dad allowed her to realise how much he missed his brother, despite the jibes they both made. 'It enabled her to plant the idea of a reconciliation on both sides. Thanks to her close relationship with Liam, she was able to call him. 'She worked hard to make sure they didn't look back in anger, if you like. 'Once Liam called Noel, the rest was left up to them.' The Gallagher brothers announced the big Oasis reunion in August last year, which sent fans into meltdown trying to get a tickets. The band are expected will make millions from their world tour, which kicks off in July. This story originally appeared on The Sun and is republished here with permission.
