
Boy, 15, dies after dirt bike collides with deer in western Manitoba
RCMP were called just before 10 p.m. Saturday to Road 114 W., southeast of the small community of Valley River.
Officers found the dirt bike lying on the road with a 15-year-old boy nearby in medical distress, police said in a news release on Monday.
Paramedics rushed the boy to hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police say the boy was riding on the road when the crash occurred. He was not wearing a helmet and was thrown from the machine.

(TPS photos) Police are searching for three suspects who allegedly broke into a home in downtown Toronto and stole several high-value items that were of 'sentimental value' to the victims. The break-and-enter happened on March 23 at about 6:45 p.m. near Dundas Street West and Bathurst Street. Investigators say the suspects left the area in a grey 2014 Volkswagen Tiguan. The first suspect was last seen wearing a beige ball cap, sunglasses, a grey hoodie, grey pants, and black and white shoes. The second suspect wore a black hat, a black coat, grey pants, and black and white shoes, while the third was wearing a grey hat, black coat with fur trim, and grey pants This investigation is ongoing and anyone with further information is asked to contact Toronto police at 416-808-1400 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.

RCMP seize more than 1 kilogram of cocaine, $75K following traffic stop, search of Yorkton homes

(David Prisciak/CTV News) Four people are facing multiple charges after RCMP seized more than one kilogram of cocaine and cash following a traffic stop and home searches in and around Yorkton. On June 16, police conducted a traffic stop on Highway 10 about five kilometres south of Yorkton in connection with an ongoing drug trafficking investigation, an RCMP news release said. A man and a woman were both arrested following the stop, police said. Later the same day, officers executed search warrants at homes on the 200 block of 4th Avenue North and 100 block of 3rd Avenue South in Yorkton. During searches of the two residences and vehicle officers located and seized 1,177 grams of cocaine and more than $75,700 in cash along with other drug trafficking paraphernalia, RCMP said. As a result, three men, aged 31, 29 and 21, along with a 37-year-old woman, were each charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime over $5,000, RCMP said. The adult passenger of the vehicle was not charged. The three men made their first court appearances in Yorkton on June 18, the woman will make her first appearance on July 21, RCMP said.
