Shehnaaz Gill found herself at the centre of a viral moment over the weekend after attending an event in Mumbai, where she appeared visibly uncomfortable with the media's intrusion. The actress was present at the launch of rapper Honey Singh's luxury watch brand on Saturday. While she arrived looking stunning in a sleeveless, glittery mini dress, Gill also got upset with the paparazzi trying to click her.
A video doing the rounds on social media shows Shehnaaz sitting on a sofa, subtly adjusting the hemline of her short dress. As she tried to maintain her poise, photographers surrounding her continued to click pictures and record videos without giving her space or privacy.
In response, the actress is heard telling the paparazzi, 'Arey bhai ruk jao, side ho jao." Though Shehnaaz kept a smile on her face, her expressions hinted discomfort and frustration. The video was captioned online as 'Shehnaaz Gill Oops moment," which many fans found disrespectful.

While some social media users lauded Shehnaaz for handling the situation with dignity, others criticised her outfit. Comments such as, 'Phnti kyu ho aesi dress jo oops moments ka saamna karna pare" and 'Khud ko comfortable nahi lag raha to kyu pehnati ho yeh kapde" flooded the comments section. However, many also came to her defence. 'Shame on society, shame on media," one user wrote.
Professionally, Shehnaaz was last seen in a cameo for the song Sajna Ve Sajna in the Rajkummar Rao and Triptii Dimri-starrer Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video. She made her Bollywood debut with Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Up next, she stars in Sab First Class and Ikk Kudi. The latter also marked her debut as a film producer.

As per figures shared by YRF, nearly 9.75 lakh people watched the film in theatres on its opening day—making it the biggest opening day for a Hindi film led by debutants. It beat the previous record set by Dhadak (Rs 8.76 crore) in 2018. In fact, Saiyaara also emerged as the highest opening day earner for a romantic film in recent years, surpassing Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani (Rs 11.1 crore), Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya (Rs 6.7 crore), Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar (Rs 15.73 crore), and Kabir Singh (Rs 20.21 crore). Advance booking numbers reflected the buzz, with Rs 9.39 crore earned before the film even hit theatres. 3.8 lakh tickets were sold in advance, including 1.38 lakh across national chains like PVR INOX (1.05 lakh) and Cinepolis (33,000). This made it the highest opening day ticket sales for a debut film since Kaho Naa… Pyaar Hai and Refugee in 2000. Director Mohit Suri, best known for Aashiqui 2 and Ek Villain, has now delivered the biggest opening of his career. Saiyaara's Rs 21 crore nett Day 1 beats his previous bests Ek Villain (Rs 16.70 crore), Murder 2 (Rs 6.95 crore), and Aashiqui 2 (Rs 6.10 crore). Remarkably, the film achieved all this with just 8,000 screenings across India, less than half the usual count for films of this scale. Despite the limited show count, many theatres reported houseful shows in major cities. Kalki Koechlin breaks silence on her divorce from Anurag Kashyap: ‘Hurtful to see the other person with somebody else'

They were really nasty to each other and it was like cold and mean growing up between them. That was very tough. Maybe that's why I'm divorced.'
