San Francisco 49ers LT Trent Williams has dominated the Arizona Cardinals

San Francisco 49ers LT Trent Williams has dominated the Arizona Cardinals PFF made a list of the highest-graded player against each NFL team. Against the Cardinals, 49ers LT Trent Williams dominates. The Arizona Cardinals, playing in the NFC West, regularly play some dominant players. PFF put together an interesting list of the highest-graded player against every team since 2020, provided they have played against them at least twice and have logged at least 100 snaps. If you had to guess who that player might be against the Cardinals, you might say former LA Rams defensive lineman Aaron Donald. Good guess, but that isn't correct, although Donald does come up on PFF's list as the top-graded player against two other teams. Thet player to absolutely dominate the Cardinals is San Francisco 49ers tackle Trent Williams. Williams has made a habit of mauling everybody in front of him, and the Arizona Cardinals are likely awaiting the day he retires. Across nine games against the Cardinals since 2020, Williams has recorded an unreal 96.9 PFF overall grade and a 97.5 PFF run-blocking grade. Arizona certainly has its own run defense to at least partially blame, but Williams is a freight train the team just can't stop. Williams has been arguably the best tackle in the league for years. That, combined with a lack of impact pass rushers since 2020 outside of Chandler Jones and generally a weak run defense, is a recipe for dominance. Jones also struggled against Williams. Williams comes up twice on this list as he is also the highest-graded player against the Detroit Lions as well. 94 days till the Arizona Cardinals' 2025 season opener: Who has worn No. 94?

94 days till the Arizona Cardinals' 2025 season opener: Who has worn No. 94? With 94 days till the Cardinals open the season against the Saints, we look at the players who have worn No. 94. We are counting down to the start of the 2025 regular season for the Arizona Cardinals and are now less than 14 weeks away. They will open the season on the road against the New Orleans Saints on Sept. 7. That is 94 days away. As we count down the remaining days of the offseason, let's look at who has worn that number uniform over the years for the Cardinals. Who has worn No. 94? Cardinals players to wear No. 94 No. 94 currently belongs to one of the Cardinals' big offseason additions — defensive tackle Dalvin Tomlinson. He is expect to have a big impact on the play up front defensively. DL Dalvin Tomlinson (2025-?) DL P.J. Mustipher (2024) DL Carlos Watkins (2023) DL Zach Allen (2020-2022) DL Caraun Reid (2019) DL Cameron Malveaux (2018) DL Xavier Williams (2015-2017) LB Sam Acho (2011-2014) DL Keilen Dykes (2009) DL Antonio Smith (2006-2008) DL Antonio Cochran (2005) DL Peppi Zellner (2004) DL Marcus Bell (2001-2003) DL Corey Sears (1999-2000) DL Bernard Wilson (1994-1998) LB David Merritt (1993) DL Jeff Faulkner (1991-1992) DL Gary Dulin (1986) No. 94 is another number that has only been used in the last 40 years. It has also been mostly a number for less impactful and transient players, although Wilson was solid for five seasons and Antonio Smith was a key piece to their Super Bowl run in 2008. Based on this list, Tomlinson is the best player to wear it even before he plays a down. Let's hope that he continues his career play so that is a reality. Lions officially sign Trystan Colon, waive new CB to make room

Lions officially sign Trystan Colon, waive new CB to make room The Detroit Lions made the signing of former Cardinals offensive lineman Trystan Colon official. In the process, Detroit also said goodbye to a player who wasn't ever seen in a Lions uniform by anyone outside the building. The NFL's transaction wire indicates the Lions added Colon to the 90-man roster and waived cornerback Divaad Wilson to make room for Colon. Wilson was added as a free agent on Monday, but his time in the den proved short. A former teammate of Colon in Arizona, Wilson was waived with injury designation after Wednesday's OTA session at the team's training facility in Allen Park. The OTA sessions Wilson was present for in Detroit were closed to the media, so we never got to see the 25-year-old in action. His injury has not been disclosed. Colon comes to the Lions from Arizona, where he was a part-time starter across the interior offensive line over two seasons with the Cardinals. He's logged 51 NFL games in five seasons, the first three spent with the Baltimore Ravens. Colon was added on a one-year deal to build up the line depth following the retirement of Pro Bowl center Frank Ragnow.
