No one was injured in the blast that shattered window panes and caused panic among the Sikh community. Officials said the missile could have caused mass casualties had it struck during prayer hours.
"This isn't an isolated case. Pakistan's missile system has a long record of poor targeting and guidance failure," said an official.

Earlier on Saturday, a Pakistani missile was intercepted over Haryana's Sirsa. "Fateh-1 missile has proven to be a complete disaster. It has failed multiple times-crashing, veering off course, or simply failing to launch," the official said.
The missile's failure highlights the sham of Pakistan's so-called indigenous capability, as per officials.

Pakistan targeted 26 locations in India on Friday, using Chinese SH-15 artillery, Turkish drones and Fatah-2 missiles, along with F-16 and JF-17 aircraft, officials said.
Meanwhile, the Border Security Force on Saturday said it has "completely destroyed" a terrorist launchpad opposite Akhnoor in Jammu in response to unprovoked firing from the other side of the international border.
The base was located at Looni in Pakistan's Sialkot district, a BSF spokesperson said. This came after Pakistan initiated "unprovoked" firing on BSF posts in Jammu sector from 9 pm on Friday. The BSF responded in a commensurate manner, causing widespread damage to the posts and assets of Pakistan Rangers, the spokesperson said.

Pakistan interior minister confirms Munir's ‘India Mercedes, Pakistan dump truck' analogy
At a seminar in Lahore, Naqvi said, 'Our intelligence agencies have the information beforehand, and that is why we were able to achieve victory. The Field Marshal himself has repeated this story in Brussels, where he told the Saudi delegation that India is a shining Mercedes and Pakistan is a dump truck, filled with stones and other things. Now you imagine when both collide, what will happen to the Mercedes. The Saudi delegation was quiet.' The unusual metaphor had been used by Munir in an interaction with overseas Pakistanis in Florida during his US trip earlier this month. New Delhi: Pakistan Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has confirmed ThePrint's report about Field Marshal Asim Munir likening India to a 'shining Mercedes' and Pakistan to a 'dump truck full of gravel', by publicly repeating the analogy and quoting the country's army chief. As ThePrint had reported, Munir had made these statements during a private dinner in the US too, while threatening to 'take half the whole world down' and plunge the region into nuclear war should his country face an existential threat in a future war with India. 'India is shining a Mercedes coming on a highway like Ferrari, but we are a dump truck full of gravel. If the truck hits the car, who is going to be the loser?' Munir had said at a luncheon hosted by Adnan Asad in Florida. This exclusive report by ThePrint had made national headlines. Naqvi not only confirmed Munir's remarks, but also expanded on Pakistan's version of the recent military tensions with India, post Operation Sindoor in May when India had retaliated for the Pahalgam terror attack. Naqvi claimed that during the brief confrontation in May, Pakistan had advanced intelligence about India's operational plans. 'Whatever strategy India devised, we learned about it in time,' he said. He added that none of Pakistan's critical military assets were damaged during the missile strikes, a claim that has been debunked by satellite imagery released by independent experts. Praising Pakistan's response, Naqvi claimed that retaliatory missile strikes targeted Indian military installations near civilian areas without causing civilian casualties. 'We destroyed one of their biggest oil depots. That is when we knew that God was helping us,' he said, making yet another claim which is not backed by evidence or satellite imagery. Naqvi lauded the role of intelligence agencies during the episode, crediting them for providing critical foresight into India's intentions. 'The army, air force, navy, and government have all been acknowledged, but our intelligence agencies were doing important work behind the scenes,' he said. Uttarakhand passes bill to repeal Madrasa Act, regulate minority educational institutions
The Bharatiya Janata Party government in Uttarakhand on Sunday cleared a bill that will repeal the Uttarakhand Madrasa Education Board Act, 2016, and extend minority status to educational institutions run by the Sikh, Jain, Buddhist, Christian and Parsi communities, reported PTI. The Uttarakhand Minority Educational Institutions Bill, 2025, was cleared during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. It will be introduced in the Assembly session starting Tuesday. If cleared, the legislation will repeal the Uttarakhand Non-Government Arabic and Persian Madrasa Recognition Rules, 2019, which empower the madrasa board to set syllabus, conduct exams, inspect madrasas and grant recognition, The Indian Express reported. In many parts of the Islamic world, a madrasa is an institution that imparts education – secular, or religious. In the Indian subcontinent, however, the word 'madrasa' has evolved to refer solely to Islamic seminaries. The bill also seeks to bring all minority-run institutions under a single regulatory authority, according to the Deccan Herald. Approval from the authority will be mandatory to qualify as a minority educational institution. The authority will also be empowered to decide the curriculum and ensure that education is aligned with the Board of School Education. Uttarakhand has 452 officially recognised, The Indian Express reported. In March, the newspaper reported that the Uttarakhand government had sealed 136 allegedly illegal madrasas, claiming that they were not registered with the education department or madrasa board. 'Action against illegal madrasas, unauthorised shrines, and encroachments will continue,' The Indian Express quoted from a government communique. 'Unregistered madrasas have been reported in towns bordering Uttar Pradesh, and such unauthorised institutions pose a serious security concern.' Scroll's reporting has shown that the state government appears to have selectively targeted Muslim places of worship on the pretext of removing encroachments from government land and public spaces. On February 8 last year, the administration demolished a mosque and madrasa in Banbhoolpura, in the city of Haldwani in Nainital district, claiming that they were built illegally on government land – even as the matter was being adjudicated in the Uttarakhand High Court.
