Representatives from the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samiti and the Khairatabad Bada Ganesh Utsav Samiti raised several issues, appealing for pothole repairs, uninterrupted street lighting, and adequate drinking water for devotees. They also requested that vehicles be made available for transporting idols and that tree branches obstructing procession routes be removed.
Responding to these concerns, GHMC Commissioner R V Karnan assured that baby ponds and cranes would be set up for immersion.
He said that 160 special action teams have been formed to resolve all pending issues, and facilities such as ambulances, fire brigades, mobile toilets, and extra power transformers will be arranged. Metro Rail officials confirmed that additional trips would run until midnight.
Hyderabad Collector Harichandana said medical teams would be deployed at all mandapams.Joint CP Traffic Joel Davis stated that staff and officers would be deployed day and night to ensure traffic is not disrupted. TGICCC Director V B Kamalasan Reddy said CCTV cameras from all three commissionerates are connected for continuous surveillance.Given that Vinayaka Chavithi and Milad un Nabi festivals coincide this year, CV Anand called for everyone's cooperation to ensure the festivities conclude without incident. He reiterated that Hyderabad City Police are making tight security arrangements for the festival.

CV Anand holds review meet on arrangements for Ganesh festivities
Hyderabad: In view of the upcoming Vinayaka Chaturthi festival, Hyderabad City police commissioner C.V. Anand held a preparatory video conference regarding the installation and immersion of Ganesh idols. The commissioner discussed the matter in detail with all Hyderabad City Police personnel, from Sub-Inspectors to the Additional Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad city. It has been observed that for the past three years, the Milad un Nabi festival has coincided with the Ganesh Navaratri celebrations. Since this year is no exception, CV Anand gave detailed instructions on the precautions to be taken to ensure both events proceed smoothly. During the conference, the Commissioner provided comprehensive instructions on the precautions to be taken during the installation of the idols, how to coordinate with the mandap organizers until the time of immersion, and the security arrangements required during the immersion processions. He instructed all Sector S.I.s and Police Station S.H.O.s to collect complete details of the mandaps in their respective areas. This information will facilitate geo-tagging, which will be useful for managing security arrangements and tracking the movement of idols during the immersion procession. The Commissioner further advised that meetings should be held frequently at the police station level with mandap organizers to coordinate and provide them with the necessary facilities. Vikram Singh Mann, Additional CP Law and Order; P. Viswa Prasad, Additional CP Crime; Joel Davis, Joint CP Traffic; and other officials virtually attended the meeting.

Cordon and search operation in Palnadu to curb crime
GUNTUR: In a bid to maintain law and order and curb criminal activities, Palnadu District Police conducted a large-scale Cordon and Search operation at Lakkarajugarlapadu village under Sattenapalli Rural Police Station limits on Sunday. District SP Kanchi Srinivasarao, said the drive aimed to identify anti-social elements, habitual offenders, and troublemakers, assuring villagers of the police's commitment to their safety under the message 'We are here for the people.' Acting on his instructions, Sattenapalli Sub-Divisional Police Officer M Hanumantharao led the operation to prevent untoward incidents, particularly ahead of the Vinayaka Chavithi festival. Police carried out extensive checks of houses, shops, cattle sheds, and storage areas. Special surveillance was placed on rowdy-sheeters, old case suspects, and known troublemakers. The operation resulted in the seizure of 37 two-wheelers without valid documents, three autorickshaws, one knife, one barise, and three axes. Officers also conducted foot patrols, held meetings with villagers to raise awareness, and warned against illegal liquor activities. Students were advised to stay away from bad habits, and old offenders were urged to reform and avoid past criminal conduct.
