He inspected several ongoing projects on Tuesday, including the Sakhamuru Reservoir, Kondaveeti Vagu, Gravity Canal, and Anantavaram Park.
Speaking to the media, Narayana emphasised that the construction of 4,000 houses for officials and employees will be completed by March 2026, while roads and drainage works are nearing completion.
The minister added that the Dutch authorities have designed flood-prevention canals covering a total of 47.94 km, while reservoirs at Sakhamuru, Krishnayapalem, and Neerukonda are under development to store up to 0.53 TMC of water collectively.
The government is expediting these projects to finish canal works by late 2026, ahead of the original October 2027 deadline. 'IIT experts are finalising the layout road designs, which are expected by the end of August,' he said. He noted that annuity for 25,000 farmers has largely been cleared, with 900 cases pending due to incorrect bank details, land sales, or other issues. A special review is underway to resolve these cases.
Highlighting international cooperation, Narayana said Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's recent visit to Singapore had restored ties with the government and industry leaders there. Singapore's National Parks Authority has assured support for Amaravati's blue-green capital vision and riverfront development.
ADC Chairperson Lakshmi Parthasarathy and other CRDA officials were present.

Andhra Pradesh launches 72-hour fast-track clearance for high-rise building permissions
In a bid to accelerate urban development and strengthen its 'ease of doing business' credentials, the Andhra Pradesh government has rolled out a 72-hour clearance policy for high-rise building permissions. The new Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), unveiled by Principal Secretary for Municipal Administration and Urban Development S. Suresh Kumar, on Friday (August 08), mandates that all eligible high-rise building proposals, defined as structures with 12 or more floors, including Transferable Development Rights (TDR) floors, be approved within a strict Service Level Agreement (SLA) of three days. The initiative, framed to eliminate bureaucratic delays, is aimed at attracting greater investment and ensuring rapid, transparent clearances, he added. It follows a review of past shortcomings in approval mechanisms, with the Director of Town and Country Planning (DTCP) tasked to propose a more efficient process, which has now been approved by the government. Under the SOP, a special cell has been set up at the DTCP office in Mangalagiri to exclusively handle high-rise applications. Once a proposal is submitted, an automated intimation will be sent to the DTCP, the relevant commissioner or vice-chairperson, and the Town Planning Section head in the concerned urban local body (ULB) or development authority. The site inspection process is strictly time-bound, within 36 hours, the commissioner and Town Planning Section head must visit the site, fill in the prescribed inspection proforma with photographs, and upload it to the A.P. Development Permission Management System (APDPMS) portal. Any delay automatically escalates the matter to the DTCP for action. The site report, including details of any court cases, must also be furnished within the same 36-hour window. Following this, a scrutiny committee meeting will be held at the DTCP office to finalise the approval within the overall 72-hour period. The entire workflow is being digitally integrated into the APDPMS portal for seamless tracking and accountability. All commissioners, including those of APCRDA, VMRDA, other urban development authorities, municipal corporations, municipalities, and nagar panchayats, have been instructed to strictly comply with the new procedure.

Bugatti Brouillard revealed as first project from brand's new Programme Solitaire
Bugatti has introduced the Brouillard, a unique one-off coupe created under its newly announced Programme Solitaire. While the programme will see no more than two bespoke cars produced each year, the Bugatti Brouillard takes centre stage as its first example. It blends design references from the carmaker's past with the brand's most advanced engineering platform. The car's name comes from a white thoroughbred with a mist-like coat that Ettore Bugatti treasured. This influence is evident throughout the car, with horse motifs embroidered into the door panels and seatbacks, and a miniature sculpture of a horse housed in a glass insert within the machined aluminium gear shifter. The commissioning owner, Dutch entrepreneur Michel Perridon, who owns the world's largest private Bugatti collection as well as pieces by Carlo and Rembrandt Bugatti, wanted the design to merge the mechanical excellence of modern Bugattis with the artistic legacy of the Bugatti family. At the front, it features a sculpted bumper, a wide horseshoe grille, and fender-mounted LED headlights with additional cooling intakes. Its profile incorporates the brand's signature C-shaped openings behind the greenhouse, carbon fibre trim, and a vibrant green paint finish. Wide rear fenders lead into a custom rear deck with a roof scoop, while an integrated ducktail wing improves downforce without disrupting the car's flowing silhouette. At the rear, X-shaped LED taillights recall the W16 Mistral, but the quad tailpipes and diffuser layout resemble the Chiron Super Sport. The Bugatti Brouillard gets Z-shaped tail lamps, which look stunning. Bugatti Brouillard: Powertrain and performance Brouillard uses the 1,578 bhp quad-turbocharged, 8.0-litre, W16 engine and chassis from Bugatti's most recent models, representing the highest stage of development for the powertrain. The bodywork is entirely new, following proportions intended to make the profile appear longer and lower, while integrating aerodynamic features such as a fixed ducktail wing, revised air intakes and an updated rear diffuser. Bugatti Brouillard: Interior Inside, the car features custom-woven tartan fabrics from Paris, green-tinted carbon fibre, and an increased use of machined aluminium. A glass roof allows light into the cabin, while the centre spine continues from the exterior design into the interior. Seats are made to the owner's specifications, using a unique leather arrangement. Bugatti's 'Programme Solitaire' approach Programme Solitaire draws from Bugatti's early 20th-century coachbuilding tradition, when the brand designed its bodies on shared chassis. Each Solitaire project will follow this approach, using current Bugatti powertrains and structures while reimagining the bodywork and interior from the ground up. Brouillard will make its public debut at Monterey Car Week in California, setting the tone for future creations, no more than two per year, that will continue the brand's blend of engineering heritage and individual craftsmanship.
