EA's Overlooked Monster Hunter-Like And 7 Other Games On Sale For Just $12
We are only a few days into a new month. That means all the various video game subscription services out there are refreshing their catalogs to offer some fresh options. And this month's Humble Choice offerings are especially good. For those unaware, Humble Choice is Humble Bundle's $12 a month subscription service that grants you a selection of PC games every month while supporting charity, too.

Pacific Drive is a fantastic and creepy car-based survival roguelike game set in the rainy and dark forests of the northwest. Avoid the strange anomalies and get out alive while upgrading your car with supplies you scavenge.
Wild Hearts is a underappreciated and overlooked Monster Hunter clone that streamlines parts of the genre while also introducing some original ideas, too. Released in 2023, Wild Hearts was published by EA and developed by Omega Force, and while it has its fans, it's always felt like this game didn't get the love it deserved. Perhaps now that will change. But then, considering how everyone is playing a new Monster Hunter game, probably not.
The other game I want to highlight is Homeworld 3. We don't get a lot of big budget RTS space games anymore, so it was nice to see this one from Blackbird and Gearbox last year. Sadly, the game isn't great, but as a freebie included with a subscription it might be worth checking out to see if its take on space RTS combat clicks with you.

What to expect We've already mentioned the more than 50 games, including titles from Capcom, Bandai Namco, EA and NACON. Capcom is getting some serious shine with developer spotlights for Resident Evil Requiem and interviews with the devs behind PRAGMATA. For variety, there will be closer looks at skate., the long-awaited skateboarding title from EA and Full Circle, as well as Windstorm: The Legend of Khiimori set in Mongolia, among other major and indie titles. With a market cap of $43.7 billion, Electronic Arts distributes its products through multiple distribution channels as well as directly to consumers through its online portals. While the gaming giant has slightly lagged behind the broader market over the past year, it has significantly outperformed in 2025. EA stock has surged 14% over the past 52 weeks and 15.6% on a YTD basis, compared to the S&P 500 Index's ($SPX) 16.1% gains over the past year and 9.7% returns in 2025. However, the stock has notably underperformed the industry-focused VanEck Video Gaming and eSports ETF's (ESPO) surge of 68% over the past year and 38.2% on a YTD basis. Electronic Arts had a resilient start to fiscal 2026, the company's stock prices shot up 5.7% in a single trading session following the release of its Q1 results on Jul. 29. Driven by growth in full game revenues, the company's overall topline for the quarter inched up 66 bps year-over-year to $1.67 billion, surpassing the consensus estimates by a notable 4.7%. Meanwhile, the company reported a 28.2% year-over-year decline in net income to $201 million, but it came ahead of Street expectations. Further, the company expects to observe a significant sequential growth in net bookings and revenues. In Q2, the company expects to register between $1.8 billion - $1.9 billion in net bookings, up from $1.3 billion in Q1. At the same time, its net revenues are expected to reach approximately $1.75 billion to $1.85 billion in Q2. For the full fiscal 2026, ending in March, analysts expect EA to deliver an EPS of $6.16, up 27% year-over-year. The company has a mixed earnings surprise history. While it surpassed the Street's bottom-line estimates thrice over the past four quarters, it missed the projections on one other occasion. The stock has a consensus 'Moderate Buy' rating overall. Of the 28 analysts covering the stock, opinions include 10 'Strong Buys,' two 'Moderate Buys,' and 16 'Holds.' This configuration is slightly more optimistic than two months ago, when eight analysts gave 'Strong Buy' recommendations. On Aug. 12, DA Davidson analyst Wyatt Swanson reiterated a 'Neutral' rating on EA stock and raised the price target from $150 to $160. As of writing, EA's mean price target of $173.46 represents a modest 2.5% premium to current price levels. Meanwhile, the street-high target of $210 suggests a notable 24.1% upside potential. Every Free Battlefield 6 Open Beta Reward You Can Earn Before Launch
The Battlefield 6 open beta has taken the gaming world by storm, as hundreds of thousands of players have queued up to trade lead, blow up buildings and rack up crazy killstreaks. The final beta period is in full swing: It began on Thursday, Aug. 14 and goes through Sunday, Aug. 17, so you'll want to join the playtest now if you want to experience the next era of Battlefield chaos before the full release on Oct. 10. Familiar maps and modes are making a return, as players play tug-of-war in Rush sectors and capture flags in Conquest -- this weekend, you can even battle across the wartorn streets of New York City with a new map pool update. If you join the playtest now, you'll have a chance to earn exclusive rewards that won't be available to players that didn't join the open beta. There are a number of challenges to complete and some of them require a substantial time investment, so the sooner you get started, the better. Here are the free cosmetic rewards attached to the Battlefield 6 open beta. Clear tight angles in close-quarters combat for special rewards in class-based challenges. If you missed the first open beta weekend, you're in luck: The first set of challenges are still available during the current open beta period, so you still have time to earn these rewards before they disappear forever. Here are all of the cosmetic rewards introduced during Battlefield 6's first open beta period, as well as the challenges you need to complete in order to unlock them. Lights Out Player Card Background: Reach career rank 10. Rising Star Character Skin: Reach career rank 15. Night Terror Weapon Charm: Reach career rank 20. Striking Distance Weapon Package: Get 50 kills on enemies within 10 meters of you while using the Assault class. Regularly using the M87A1 shotgun gadget is a great way to complete this challenge. I Own The Night Weapon Sticker: Get 100 revives while using the Support class. Revives using the new drag feature and the classic defibrillator pads both count toward this challenge. Note that reviving your squadmates while playing a non-Support class does not count toward this challenge. After Dark Weapon Sticker: Repair 3,000 vehicle health while using the Engineer class. Vehicles are only available on large-scale game modes like Conquest, so use custom search filters to find matches that will allow you to complete this challenge. Seeker Character Skin: Spot 300 enemies while using the Recon class. Aiming down sights at enemy players automatically marks them while using this class. While you can spot enemies with any class, only enemies spotted while playing Recon will count toward this challenge. Overpower enemy positions and take ground to unlock the weekend two beta rewards. If you haven't jumped into combat just yet, you have until Sunday, Aug. 17 to try out the new massive multiplayer first-person shooter. During this period, you can still access the challenges from the first open beta. But the second Battlefield 6 open beta weekend also introduces three more challenges with their own cosmetic rewards, so there's something for returning players to strive toward as well. Here are the new cosmetic rewards introduced during Battlefield 6's second open beta period, as well as the challenges you need to complete in order to unlock them. Bat Company Dog Tag: Get 200 kills or assists. This challenge is not locked to any class or game mode. Dominion Weapon Package: Capture 15 sectors in the Rush or Breakthrough game modes. War Machine Vehicle Skin: Capture 42 flags in the Conquest, Breakthrough, Domination and King of the Hill game modes. Player skins are grounded and realistic in Battlefield 6 -- that includes the beta's associated cosmetic rewards. So long as you're a PS Plus subscriber (which you need to be in order to access the Battlefield 6 open beta in the first place), you'll instantly become eligible for a double XP boost and an exclusive operator skin. These bonuses are automatically applied to your account, so you don't have to worry about browsing the storefront for a free DLC claim. The double XP will only affect your earn rate during the open beta, but that might be just the push you need to complete the challenges to hit career ranks 10, 15 and 20, respectively. If you don't see the soldier skin, there's nothing to worry about: Like all the other Battlefield 6 open beta cosmetic rewards, it will be applied to your account on Oct. 10 when the game fully releases.
