AZ Martinez on RAWR, friends at 'end of the table': 'I wouldn't be here without them'
On "Unang Hirit" on Wednesday, AZ and her final duo River Joseph were asked about their "what if" in the show.
AZ answered, "What if wala 'yung core group ko? I don't think I'll make it. I don't think I'll be able to make it without 'yung people sa end of the table, 'yung RAWR... and of course, 'yung AzVer."
The people at the "end of the table" refer to the housemates that AZ sat with routinely during meals at the dining table: River, Ralph De Leon, Kira Balinger, Josh Ford, Michael Sager, and Emilio Daez, among others.
RAWR meanwhile refer to Ralph, AZ, Will Ashley, and River. The four formed a close bond during their stay in Bahay ni Kuya, and it blossomed further during the later parts of the show.
AZ's core friends also include the "book club," which comprises of Kira, Josh, AC Bonifacio, and Charlie Fleming.
"What if wala sila?" AZ said. "I know I wouldn't be here without them."
"Sila 'yung strength ko, isa sila sa reason kung bakit din ako lumabalan and they're my family na talaga," she added.
River meanwhile recalled that he had been up for eviction in the first round of nominations, and wondered what his life would have been like had he been sent packing so early.
AZ and River (AzVer) became final duos after a series of challenging tasks. AZ eventually picked River as her final duo, and River happily accepted.
They were named as the fourth big placers during the Big Night held on July 5 at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.
Brent Manalo and Mika Salamanca (Breka) were named the Big Winner. Ralph De Leon and Will Ashley (RaWi) placed second, while Charlie Fleming and Esnyr placed third. —JCB, GMA Integrated News

Will Ashley, Xyriel Manabat hope to work together on a project
Will Ashley and Xyriel Manabat did not become a duo in "Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab Edition," but they are hoping to have the opportunity to work together in the future. Will and Xyriel formed a close friendship inside Bahay ni Kuya and many fans have been rooting for them to become duos as fellow child stars in the showbiz industry. In an interview with GMA News Online on the sidelines of the GMA Gala 2025, Xyriel said she and Will often talked about working together while they were still in PBB. "Lagi kami nagbibiruan and ako for me gusto ko maging totohanan 'yung biruan namin na, 'O ano work tayo ah, paglabas work tayo ah.' Lagi kami nag-gaganun na banter ni Will," she said. "Hopefully since may collab naman na sana maka work ko talaga si Will in the near future," she added. Will echoed the sentiment, saying he would love to work with the Kapamilya actress. "Grabe, hindi ko maisip pa'no magagawa namin sa isang eksena and sana hopefully magka-work kami ni Xyriel," he told GMA News Online. Will and Xyriel also said they would have been each other's next duo if the wildcard round did not happen. "May sinabi siyang ganun sa 'kin so kung panindigan niya 'yun, kami sana 'yung last duo kung sakali," Xyriel said. "Kung 'di bumalik si Ralph [De Leon], yes kami magiging duo dapat ni Xy," Will said. The wildcard round saw the return of Ralph and Charlie Fleming inside Bahay ni Kuya. Subsequently, the housemates faced individual nominations and Xyriel was evicted along with Vince Maristela. Will and Xyriel, along with their fellow housemates, will bring joy to fans at The Big ColLOVE fan con at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sunday. Tickets for the event are already sold out, but fans can still avail of livestream access. —CDC, GMA Integrated News
