Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd discuss their favorite basketball idols on the recent Instagram podcast
Azzi Fudd and
Paige Bueckers
were close friends when they were teammates at UConn. It later developed into a relationship. After keeping it hidden for a while, especially around the 2025 WNBA All-Star weekend in Indianapolis, they officially announced the news.
Now, they have made an appearance on an Instagram podcast.
During the same, when Azzi Fudd asked who her favorite NBA player was,
Paige Bueckers
took
Stephen Curry
's name. The UConn Huskies player then said:
'I love the way he plays. Watch him shoot… This quick release. The way he moves the ball, I think, is incredible. Yeah, that's me. I want to add to my game…'
The
Dallas Wings
player added:
'Oh, yeah, that's a good one to add to your bag. Yeah, him and Kyrie are my favorites. Just like must watch TV every single time they play…
Azzi Fudd
further asked:
'So if Kyrie were to give you some ball-handling drills to work on, but to do it?'
Her partner answered that she would do it because it's Kyrie. Then, when
Paige Bueckers

The UConn Huskies star continued:
'Second choice, I'm gonna go with Napheesa. She's a dog. Everything about her game is just perfect…'
She then questioned her partner:
'Who's your favorite WNBA player? You can't say yourself…'
The guard then answered:
'If I had to pick non-form my teammate, yeah, it would probably be Phee [Napheesa]. I think it was the first game of the season. She tried to feed me up like I was baby food or something. So clearly that lesson didn't teach you much…'
The lighthearted conversation between the couple offered their fans a glimpse into their relationship, their shared appreciation of the game, and the basketball legends that motivate them.

Hailey Bieber brings polka dots back in fashion; ways to style this iconic print

Polka dots are a timeless trend, and can be worn on any occasion. A hit among Bollywood stars in the late 1970s-1980s, the pattern remains a favourite among new-age actors. And with the unofficial queen of social media, Hailey Bieber, flaunting polka dots in her latest Instagram photo dump, how could the trend not have made a comeback? Let's delve into the history of polka dots and learn about the various ways you can style this classic fashion statement: Notably, the earliest known mention of the term 'polka dot' was made in Godey's Lady's Book in 1857. Before this, the dotted pattern was referred to as quinconce or dotted Swiss. Subsequently, during the Industrial Revolution, sewing machines made the circular pattern possible because, before this, hand-sewing led to imperfectly rounded circles, creating a blotchy pattern. The first time the trend came into the modern era was when the first Native American woman to be crowned Miss America, Norma Smallwood, wore a polka dot swimsuit in 1926. Soon, Walt Disney jumped on the bandwagon and redesigned Minnie Mouse's dress with polka dots in the 1940s. Whether you like to go bold and make a statement with larger-than-life dots scattered all over the fabric, or keep it minimal and lowkey with tiny circles, there's a version of polka for everyone. Britney Spears' love for polka can be seen in her dotted hot pink swimsuits and sheer bodycon dresses. From Julia Roberts to Cameron Diaz, Hollywood A-listers have gravitated towards the simple dots to elevate an otherwise simple ensemble and pay tribute to retro fashion. A post shared by XILA MARIA RIVER RED (@britneyspears) The Royal family also has a deep connection with polka dots. Back in 1988, during the Royal Ascot, Princess Diana had looked ravishing in a brown and white polka dot Alessandra Rich dress, a look that was recreated 34 years later by her daughter-in-law, Kate Middleton. The young Royal chose a Victor Edelstein white and polka outfit and paired it with a matching dotted hat and pearl jewellery. A Sall-Ann Provan hat featuring floral accents sat atop her head. Column dresses with polka dots in contrasting shades and colours give your look vibrancy, and the right accessories give your look just the right edge. Take inspiration from Hailey Bieber, whose white summer dress with red dots all over, dewy skin and blushed-up cheeks help her ace the perfect strawberry girl look. Back in the day, Dimple Kapadia's polka dot co-ord from Bobby (1973) made her an instant style icon. A polka dot knotted blouse and matching black made for a simple, breezy outfit that soon went on to become a nostalgic reference for retro fashion enthusiasts. If you find co-ords too much, choose either the top or bottom half of your outfit to carry the polka dot print. For the other half, opt for a simple, solid coloured piece for optimal contrast. Waist cinching belts break the monotony, while textured fabrics such as lace and frill add character to the look. A bold lip, dramatic winged eyeliner or retro accessories such as headbands and scarves can help seal the deal. Commonly seen in children's clothing, bathing suits, and lingerie, this playful print is seeing a resurgence with some of the major celebrities donning this trend. Recently, pop star Britney Spears also expressed her love for polka dots on social media. Read here to find out her thoughts on this iconic fashion staple.

Steven Nelson doubts Jalen Ramsey's 2025 performance; predicts WRs will dominate Steelers' star cornerback

Steven Nelson doubts Jalen Ramsey's 2025 performance (Image via: Getty Images) Former Pittsburgh Steelers cornerback Steven Nelson isn't buying into Jalen Ramsey's hype for the 2025 NFL season. Nelson, who played for the Steelers from 2019-2020, took to Instagram to openly predict that Ramsey, a seven-time Pro Bowler, will struggle in coverage this year. His bold claim is that wide receivers matched against Ramsey will have standout performances. Former Steelers CB Steven Nelson questions Jalen Ramsey's 2025 NFL performance Nelson's prediction comes shortly after Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin indicated that Ramsey would cover the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' top receiver, Mike Evans, during a joint practice. Tomlin's remarks seemed to position Ramsey as the Steelers' CB1 over veterans Darius Slay and Joey Porter Jr. 'Jalen's going to get it. Some people may hate it, and I love that competitive spirit… but I think it's already been decided,' Tomlin said, confirming Ramsey's top role. Despite Tomlin's endorsement, Nelson wasn't impressed. 'Easy money,' Nelson wrote on Instagram, urging fans to 'take the over' on the wide receivers Ramsey guards. Nelson's comments reflect skepticism about Ramsey's ability to consistently shut down elite receivers, especially after reports from Rick Stroud of the Tampa Bay Times highlighted that Evans 'won most of his battles with Steelers CB Jalen Ramsey' during practice. Steelers' 2025 cornerback strategy: How Jalen Ramsey's role could impact performance The Steelers' cornerback deployment remains a topic of speculation. Ramsey has experience playing in the slot, but with Tomlin's suggestion that he will follow the opposing team's No. 1 receiver, Ramsey could be asked to cover a variety of targets all over the field. How this strategy will impact his 2025 performance remains uncertain, especially given the high expectations surrounding him. Steven Nelson calls out Ramsey for 2025 Also Read: Matt Breida says no to Dolphins interest, ignites retirement talk at just 30 Nelson, who retired in 2024 after stints with the Philadelphia Eagles and Houston Texans, isn't the only one questioning Jalen Ramsey's consistency. With the 2025 NFL season approaching, all eyes will be on how Ramsey adapts to the Steelers' cornerback strategy and whether he can live up to his Pro Bowl reputation. His ability to cover top receivers across the field will be a key factor in Pittsburgh's defensive success. How Ramsey performs in this versatile role could shape the Steelers' pass defense for the entire season. Catch Rani Rampal's inspiring story on Game On, Episode 4. Watch Here!

Did Rohit Sharma pull a PR stunt with Sydney Test snub? Irfan Pathan breaks silence

Former India all-rounder Irfan Pathan weighed in on claims that Rohit Sharma's decision to skip the Sydney Test in January was a PR move. Rohit's Test form in the 2024–25 season was below par, with just 164 runs in eight matches, including a poor run in Australia where he averaged an interview with Lallantop, Pathan was asked whether Rohit's absence was not only a tactical decision but also a calculated PR strategy - presenting him as a selfless player putting the team first while avoiding full responsibility for the to the same, Pathan said Rohit should have fought for his place rather than opting out. He added that a player, especially a captain, cannot pick and choose matches mid-series, stressing that while selection rests with the captain, coach, and management, a personal commitment to play is non-negotiable. 'Personally, I feel he should have fought for it — which I had said even back then, not just now. I think he should have played. When you're there, mate, if you're in the team, part of the team, the captain — even if you're just a player in the middle of a tournament — you can't pick and choose. You simply can't,' Irfan said.'That's the responsibility of the team management, the captain, and the coach.
