Ryan Reynolds is working on what sounds very much like a new Deadpool team-up movie. While speaking to Time Magazine's Eliana Dockterman, Reynolds was asked about not only the future of Deadpool, but how Reynolds had previously said he thinks the Merc with a Mouth works better as a supporting character. Toward the end of his response, Reynolds said, "I'm writing a little something right now which is like an ensemble, but it's...I like it when he's isolated. If Deadpool becomes an Avenger or X-Men we're at the end and that's his wish fulfilment, and you can't give him that."

All we know for the moment is that Reynolds is writing the project and that "it's an ensemble." We don't even know if this is something Marvel has green lit or it's something he's writing on spec.

One possibility is that he's trying to recreate the "X-Force" movie that was never made. "Deadpool 2" was originally going to be followed by an "X-Force" film in which Deadpool would've been a supporting character, but that plan was changed by Disney's acquisition of Fox. We know from "Deadpool & Wolverine" that Deadpool's time travel shenanigans in "Deadpool 2" included resurrecting the X-Force members who died during their disastrous skydiving intro.
Before mentioning the project he was working on, Reynolds left a possible hint in talking about good it felt to see audiences react to the return of Wesley Snipes as Blade in "Deadpool & Wolverine."
"I was really grateful where we got to see people and characters like Blade with Wesley Snipes, who is a guy who should have a third act in this moment because he is a f---ing huge movie star," Reynolds said. "That feeling and the gasp that comes out of people when he crosses the frame in the movie is just a feeling I want more of and I think I'd be able to do that as the supporting actor."
If his ensemble project is something he's writing in search of capturing that feeling, then that opens up all new possibilities. Is he hoping to do another movie with Snipes, Jennifer Garner, Channing Tatum, etc? Or maybe reintroducing some characters we haven't seen come back? Ben Affleck as Daredevil? Eric Bana as the Hulk? Who knows?

ANDOR Creator Tony Gilroy Had to Fight Disney For Season 2 Budget After Being Told "Streaming is Dead" — GeekTyrant

Andor is one of this shows that raised the bar for the Star Wars franchise. But, getting to that second season? That didn't come easy. Tony Gilroy, the creator of Andor and the mind behind Rogue One , opened up at the ATX Television Festival about the uphill battle he faced securing proper funding for Season 2 of the critically acclaimed series. While you'd think Disney would be all-in after Season 1's success, Gilroy revealed a much grimmer outlook from the studio: "I mean, [for] Disney this is $650 million. For 24 episodes, I never took a note. We said 'F*ck the Empire' in the first season, and they said, 'Can you please not do that?' … In season 2, they said, 'Streaming is dead, we don't have the money we had before,' so we fought hard about money, but they never cleaned anything up. That [freedom] comes with responsibilities." 'Streaming is dead,' according to what Gilroy was told during Season 2's production. Kind of a surprise, considering this is Disney we're talking about, owners of Disney+, the home of Andor, The Mandalorian , and every Marvel show. But, this internal sentiment makes a bit more sense when you look at the recent slowdown in Disney's streaming content pipeline. Marvel shows have slowed down. Star Wars shows are fewer and farther between. The emphasis, for now, seems to be shifting, toward theatrical releases. I'm glad to hear that Gilroy 'fought hard' for the budget and to preserve the scope and freedom of the show. It was a massive creative swing that kept its integrity intact despite the studio's shifting priorities. Even with all the struggles behind the scenes, Andor remains the most critically lauded live-action Star Wars project to date. It was an impressive show that hit a nerve with fans, elevating the franchise in a way no other Star Wars project has. As for what's next : The Mandalorian & Grogu is headed to the big screen with Pedro Pascal and Sigourney Weaver. Shawn Levy and Ryan Gosling are confirmed to be teaming on the Starfighter movie. Ahsoka 's second season is underway for a 2026 release, and a Darth Maul series is also coming.

SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY Could Reportedly See Spidey and The Punisher Fight Hulk — GeekTyrant

Well, this one's wild, but just plausible enough to keep us on edge. There's a new rumor making the rounds that Spider-Man: Brand New Day might see Tom Holland's Peter Parker teaming up with Jon Bernthal's Frank Castle aka the Punisher, to take on none other than Mark Ruffalo's Hulk. But not the yoga-doing, taco-sharing version of Hulk we've seen lately. No, this rumor points to the return of a full-on rage monster. Smash first, maybe think later. This all comes from scooper Jeff Sneider, who recently chatted about it with John Rocha on The Hot Mic podcast. Rocha, for his part, mentioned this very scenario back in January, saying he heard from a 'very connected' source in the industry that Spider-Man: Brand New Day would be 'ground-based' and would have Peter teaming up with the Punisher to fight a newly savage Hulk. Rocha explained: 'So it's gonna be ground-based. But he's going to fight Hulk because Marvel wants to move away from the intelligent Hulk that we saw in the Avengers movies and make him much more of the brutish Hulk, the violent Hulk, the rage Hulk.' There's no denying that fans have been divided on Professor Hulk. While some appreciated the evolution of the character, others missed the raw chaos and destruction that defined Hulk's earlier appearances. Rocha acknowledged that, syaing: 'A lot of people have been complaining about the more intelligent and calmer version of the character.' Of course, the Marvel machine is constantly shifting gears. Rocha also admitted that this concept may no longer be locked in: 'I don't know if that's what Tom Holland was reading and jumping around with Zendaya in his room… because we know it's going back into rewrites.. but that was the plan they told me about a couple of weeks ago.' So, take this with a grain. Given the upcoming Daredevil: Born Again and a 2026 special presentation featuring Bernthal's Punisher, Marvel's clearly not done with Frank Castle. Whether that means he's showing up to help Spidey rein in the Hulk remains to be seen, but I sure do hope it's true! Still, a street-level battle with Hulk, Spider-Man, and Punisher? That's the kind of chaotic escalation fans could get behind!
