With less than two weeks before the Orange and Blue's opening kickoff, USA TODAY Sports writer Paul Myerberg took a look at the 10 schools that face the toughest path to the postseason in 2025. Of course, Billy Napier and Co. were included — largely in part due to matchups at preseason No. 9 LSU, against No. 1 Texas in Gainesville and their annual faceoff against No. 4 Georgia in Jacksonville, which he considered their toughest games.
"Florida was able to grab eight wins last season against a similarly hard SEC slate, salvaging Billy Napier's rapidly diminishing job security and creating pretty massive expectations for 2025," Myerberg notes. "The Gators will have to navigate through rocky waters once again, with a schedule also featuring No. 21 Texas A&M, No. 15 Mississippi and No. 18 Tennessee in addition to No. 10 Miami and Florida State in non-conference action."

Steelers in 'consideration' for standout free agent visit, per report
Steelers fans rejoice, one of the best free agent offensive linemen may be on his way to Pittsburgh. On Tuesday, ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that G Dalton Risner, who just finished a workout for the Bengals, is considering the Steelers for a potential visit as he decides on his future landing spot. "Free agent guard Dalton Risner, who worked out for the Bengals today, will also visit the Seahawks, per source. Visiting the Steelers also a consideration," Fowler wrote on X. "Wants to take multiple visits before making a decision." Selected by the Broncos with the 41st overall pick in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Risner wasted little time making an impact and was named to the PFWA NFL All-Rookie Team in his debut season — which featured a talented ensemble of players such as DE Nick Bosa, DT Dexter Lawrence, RB Josh Jacobs, and more. Risner has 81 games of starting experience from his time with the Broncos and Vikings. At best, he would challenge the Steelers' guards for a starting spot — and at worst, he'd serve as arguably one of the league's best backups.
