Mankameshwar temple issues guidelines for priests and devotees during Shravan
A major directive passed in the meeting is the strict prohibition of the consumption of gutkha, paan, and tobacco by priests during rituals and temple duties. Any priest found violating this rule will face strict disciplinary action.
In a high-level review meeting held on Tuesday under the leadership of Mahant Brahmachari Shridharanand Maharaj, preparations for the upcoming Shravan month were discussed. Significant decisions were finalised regarding the sanctity and discipline to be maintained during religious rituals at the temple.
The temple administration emphasised that use of such substances not only disrespects the sanctity of the rituals but also affects the clarity of chanting sacred mantras, affecting the spiritual efficacy of the ceremonies.
Mahant Shridharanand Maharaj said, "The purity of Vedic rituals depends on the devotion and discipline of the one performing them. The consumption of paan, gutkha, or tobacco interferes proper enunciation and disturbs the spiritual atmosphere.

Hence, it will not be tolerated under any circumstances." Any priest found violating this rule will face strict disciplinary action. For the first offence, they will be suspended from temple duties for one month and will be required to undergo penance (prayaschit). A repeat offence will result in permanent expulsion from the temple. These rules will also apply to devotees participating in special rituals. Earlier, the temple implemented a dress code for worshippers, which was reaffirmed in the meeting.
Male devotees are required to wear a dhoti, along with a shirt or kurta, while female devotees must wear a saree or salwar suit. Similarly, priests conducting rituals must wear a dhoti and kurta.
The temple administration has also decided that all puja and ceremonies will be conducted strictly as per designated schedule. To ensure implementation of all rules, an official will be appointed for monitoring purposes during Shravan.

Bryan Kohberger's guilty plea in Idaho murder case leaves questions unanswered; was he killing for thrill?
Nearly three years after the brutal murders of four University of Idaho students , Bryan Kohberger , the man accused of carrying out the killings, has agreed to plead guilty to all charges. The plea deal , proposed by prosecutors, would see Kohberger sentenced to life in prison without parole, avoiding a lengthy trial and the death penalty. If accepted by the court, this move would bring a sudden end to one of the most closely followed murder cases in the US in recent years, but not without controversy. Families of the victims remain divided, some welcoming closure, others accusing the state of shutting them out of the decision-making process. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Join new Free to Play WWII MMO War Thunder War Thunder Play Now Undo Who is Bryan Kohberger? Bryan Kohberger, 30, was a Ph.D. student in criminology at Washington State University when the killings occurred. He was arrested in December 2022 at his family home in Pennsylvania, roughly six weeks after the murders of Ethan Chapin, Xana Kernodle, Madison Mogen, and Kaylee Goncalves at their off-campus home in Moscow, Idaho. Live Events Investigators linked Kohberger to the crime through a combination of cellphone data, surveillance footage, and DNA found on a knife sheath left at the crime scene. He was charged with four counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony burglary. While the prosecution initially sought the death penalty, the current plea deal would exchange that for multiple life sentences. What is the motive behind Bryan Kohberger's killing? Even as the legal process nears an end, the motive behind the killings remains unclear. The plea deal would bypass a public trial, meaning much of the evidence, including any potential insight into Kohberger's intent, may never be fully revealed. However, some criminal behavior experts have noted his actions resemble those associated with a 'thrill kill', suggesting that he may have been driven by the adrenaline rush inherent in committing a violent crime. In a report published by Newsweek, Ian Lamoureux, a forensic psychiatrist and clinical assistant professor of psychiatry at the University of Arizona, said initial evidence suggests the murders could have been a " thrill kill ." However, Kohberger's family has remained silent; they requested privacy and urged responsible media coverage. Despite meticulous planning, purchasing a military-style knife months in advance, surveilling the victims' home using cellphone data, and taking extensive steps to conceal evidence, no personal connection or clear intent has been identified. Prosecutor Bill Thompson described the killings as 'senseless', adding that Kohberger had no known relationship with the victims and did not explain his reasons during his guilty plea .

Diddy's lawyers requested his bail on a $1 million bond and restrictions to stay at his Miami home and limit his travel, according to NBC. However, Judge Arun Subramanian denied the request, stating that while he has been found not guilty of the pivotal charges, he poses a threat. He referenced Jane's testimony, where Combs choked and dragged her during an argument in June 2024, and issued an order to keep him at Metropolitan Detention Center until his sentencing. The 'All About the Benjamins' rapper's sentence would be decided on October 3, 2025. However, the defence attorneys are looking for a faster timeline, and the judge has set a remote sentencing hearing for July 8. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Free P2,000 GCash eGift UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo Diddy's lawyers celebrated the win... Marlin fish pulls fisherman into sea, fisherman goes missing in Visakhapatnam's Anakapalle coast
VISAKHAPATNAM: A 26-year-old fisherman went missing in the sea after a large fish pulled him into sea while fishing in the blue waters (15 nautical miles off Bay of Bengal) in north coastal Andhra Pradesh. The missing person has been identified as Chodapalli Yerayya, a native of Pudimadaka coastal village in Atchutapuram mandal in Anakapalle district. Yerayya went fishing along with three others from Pudimadaka in a motorized boat on Wednesday morning. After sprawling the bait (line fishing method), Yerayya on board was pulling it. However, a large blue marlin (locally known as kommu konam) fish took the bait and Yerayya was unprepared for the force of the fish pulling on the line, resulting in the fish pulling him into the waters and he went missing in the waters. Though the remaining three fishermen on board and other fishermen searched for Yerayya, their efforts proved futile. It is not the first time that such incidents were reported. A few such incidents were reported on the Vizag coast in the past. Such incidents are possible for a large fish to pull a fisherman into the sea. This usually happens when a powerful fish takes the bait and the fisherman is unable to manage the force of the fish pulling on the line, said Joint Director of Fisheries Department, Anakapalle district, G Vijaya. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 월 평균 148만원 부업! 부업 하실 분 찾습니다 메리츠파트너스 더 알아보기 Undo The search for the missing Yerayya is on, she added. It may be recalled fisherman Molli Joganna was impaled by a huge black marlin fish while he was fishing in the Bay of Bengal, off Andhra Pradeh's Anakapalle coast in February 2022. The tragic incident occurred when Jogannawas attacked by the giant marlin, which is one of the most aggressive fishes known and has a spear-like snout. Joganna was a native of Mutyalammapalem coast in Anakapalle district A group of five fishermen on a traditional boat ventured into the Bay of Bengal for fishing (60 nautical miles from the shore). When the fishermen were lifting the net, they observed that the net was heavy, and they struggled to pull the net. Suspecting that something happened in the net, Joganna ventured into the waters to check. The marlin, which weighed around 80 kgs escaped from the net and pierced Joganna's stomach with its sharp snout. Rescue efforts by the other fishermen failed and they brought Joganna's body ashore. The fishermen said that the demand for the Marlin fish (Kommu Konam) is high in the market and at the same time a lot of risk is also while netting the Kommu Konam fish. Unlike other fishes, Marlin fish attack with its sharp snout. The fishermen also said the size of the fish ranges from 50 kgs to 150 kgs. EOM
