Kannada actress
Chandana Ananthakrishna
has released an emotional musical album, In His Name, which has been receiving an overwhelming response from audiences. The song, created with Mayur Ambekallu and Thejas Kiran, is a heartfelt homage to the victims of the
Pahalgam terror attack
in Jammu and Kashmir.
The narrative of the song revolves around a newly married couple on their honeymoon in Pahalgam, who become victims of the attack. The tragedy claimed at least 26 lives, including Navy officer Vinay Narwal, who was killed during his honeymoon, a story that deeply moved Chandana.
The music video, filmed in Bengaluru and Ooty, features Nidarshan as Vinay and Chandana as his wife Himanshi.
She explained that the song came before the video.'It
was first the song that was recorded, and then the thought of shooting it came to mind. It was the director's call and his story. Since the story had the essence of patriotism, we wanted to release it on Independence Day,' she said.
Interestingly, Chandana also turned producer for the project, a decision she hadn't planned. 'Oh! Producing just happened, I had no plans to produce the song. Since I am also newly married, it synced perfectly to bring in the emotions.

The transition was an emotional one to shoot. We shot in Ooty to bring the nativity of Pahalgam, very symbolic.'
The actress admits she had goosebumps when she first heard the story.'Bringing out such a deep story in just 5 minutes, in the era of web series and films, is a huge challenge. This story is worth being a web series or a movie. We worked hard on the chemistry and emotions. We even had a week-long workshop before going on the floor.'
For Chandana, music is the soul of the project. 'Music is indeed a powerful medium to showcase emotions and stories that words alone cannot express. Music plays an important role in everything; it connects straight to the heart.'
As the song continues to win hearts online, Chandana is overwhelmed by the reception. 'The response has been amazing. People are reaching out to say they were moved to tears. That's the biggest reward for all of us who worked on this.'

'Men can impregnate any woman and run away,' says Kangana Ranaut reacting to the recent debate on live-in relationships after Disha Patani's sister Khushboo criticised Aniruddhacharya Maharaj

Kangana Ranaut who is known for her always calling spade a spade has now shared her insights on live-in relationships amidst the ongoing debate on this concept. It all began as Disha Patani 's sister Khushboo Patani reacted to Aniruddhacharaya Maharaj's viral clip. In this video, he said, "Ladke laate hain 25 saal ki ladkiyon ko, jo 4-5 jagah mooh maar ke aati hain," as he spoke about live-in relationships these days. Khushboo expressed anger towards his choice of words, thus questioning him why his remark targeted only women in live-in relationships and not men who choose the same before getting married. Amidst this ongoing discussion and debate, Kangana Ranaut has opened up on this and revealed why marriages are important. "Court says now that live-in relationships are as good as marriage. Court yehi kehta hai ke agar aap mahila ke saath sambandh rakhte hai toh aapko usko as wife samajhna padega. Yeh saare kanoon woman-friendly hi toh hai." She added, "Aaj kal log live-in relationships ke baare mein baat karte hai. But I feel marriages are very important in our society, and it is the promise that a man makes to stay loyal to his wife. I have been in relationships, and I have seen other people who indulge in such things, but I can assure you that these are not women-friendly things." by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Indonesia: New Container Houses (Prices May Surprise You) Container House | Search Ads Search Now Undo The actress cryptically addressed Khushboo's reaction on Aniruddhacharaya Maharaj and said, "Aap santon ko gaaliyan de rahe hai, it's a cancel culture. But like an elder sister I want to say, that live-in is not a woman friendly concept." She also said, "Who's going to help you get an abortion? If you get pregnant tomorrow during a live-in relationship, who is going to take care of you? Men are hunters who can impregnate any woman and run away. No matter how much we empower ourselves or educate ourselves with books and surveys, scientifically speaking, men can compartmentalise and women can't.' Kangana explained further, "People say men are from Mars, Women are from Venus and we can be modern. But scientifically, there have been surveys. Men were asked about the list of things they would admire about women as a girlfriend and as a wife. They had different lists. But women has the same list for boyfriend and husband." Jagapathi Babu hits back at criticism of ‘boring' Telugu cinema ruined by nepotism: ‘Don't watch it then'

Tollywood actor Jagapathi Babu uploaded a video called Preminchukundham Randi (let us love) on YouTube in which he addressed fan queries and comments on his life, career and Tollywood. When a fan commented that Telugu cinema was 'boring' and that nepotism in the industry was hindering new talent from succeeding, here's how he responded. Jagapathi Babu uploaded a video titled Preminchukundham Randi in which he addressed fan questions and comments. Jagapathi Babu on Telugu cinema being 'boring' and nepotism Jagapathi read the comment out loud and stated that he does not agree with either statement made by the fan. He said, 'If Telugu cinema is boring, don't watch it then.' The actor then addressed the nepotism comment, talking of how being producer-director VB Rajendra Prasad opened doors for him, but he had to struggle to sustain. He said, 'It's not true that nepotism is stopping new talent from entering the film industry. You see so many new actors thriving on OTT and in small films today, and how some kids from film families don't succeed. Take me for example, I am from a film family, and it did not help me with anything other than to enter the industry. I have to struggle to sustain myself.' Tollywood's biggest stars hail from film families like Konidela, Allu, Akkineni, Ghattamaneni, Daggubati, and more. While actors like the late NTR, ANR, Krishna, or Chiranjeevi were pioneers in films, their children and other family members have followed in their footsteps to become the film industry's biggest stars today. About Jagapathi Babu Jagapathi has worked primarily in Telugu films but also in a few Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi films. He debuted as a lead with the 1989 film Simha Swapnam and tasted success in the 1990s and early 2000s. After seeing the lead roles dry up, he turned to playing antagonist roles, starring in the 2014 Balakrishna-starrer Legend. He has had a second innings in cinema since then. Last seen in Pushpa 2: The Rule, Jagapathi will soon star in Peddi with Ram Charan.
