Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery Trailer Offers Clues But Not Everything

Daniel Craig returns as Detective Benoit Blanc in Knives Out 3.
The new trailer for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery provides just a few clues about the story without revealing too much.
Daniel Craig returns as detective Benoit Blanc and this time, a mystery involving something supernatural may test him. The trailer, unveiled at Tudum 2025, doesn't clearly reveal the victim's identity, but it could be Simone Vivane, played by Cailee Spaeny.
In the newly released trailer, Benoit is seen interacting with several cast members but not as much with Simone.
According to Screen Rant, the trailer creates some mystery around Simone's presence. She isn't clearly shown, but there are two shots – one from behind and another of a woman surrounded by a red light. She doesn't appear much elsewhere in the trailer, and many believe both shots could be of Simone.
Speaking about the cast of Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, director Rian Johnson told Tudum, 'We've been very lucky with each of these movies to have gathered some of my favourite actors on the planet, and that's absolutely the case here. They're also all lovely folks who get along, which is the dinner party aspect of it. When you're making an ensemble movie like this, I think that's key."
The title Wake Up Dead Man comes from a U2 song released in 1997 on their album Pop. Johnson feels that the album doesn't get enough credit and thinks the song fits perfectly as the title for his film. He also shared that the phrase Wake Up Dead Man had stayed with him for a long time. He first came across it while listening to old American folk music.
Other than Daniel Craig and Cailee Spaeny, the upcoming suspense thriller also stars Josh O'Connor, Glenn Close, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Jeremy Renner, Kerry Washington, Andrew Scott, Daryl McCormack and Thomas Haden Church. The movie will be streaming on Netflix from December 12.

Stray Kids Dominate Los Angeles With Two Sold Out Shows

Stray Kids made history by becoming the first fourth generation K-pop group to hold a solo concert at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. They entertained fans for two nights on May 31 and June 1, as part of their Dominate world tour. Originally, only one show was planned, but a second concert was added later due to fans' high demand. The LA based stadium is known for hosting top music stars like The Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, BTS and Twice. While it can hold over 70,000 people, Stray Kids, on both nights, attracted around 100,000 fans. Seeing the huge response from fans, the group members, Bang Chan, Lee Know, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin and IN, took a moment at the end of the concert to thank everyone. As per All Kpop, the group said, 'We're so grateful to every STAY (fandom name) who came today. We were so happy to be able to give back the love we've received. This moment was possible because of you."

Song Da Eun reignites BTS' Jimin dating rumors with remarks on trouble with K-pop idol boyfriend

BTS member Jimin was embroiled in an alleged romantic relationship with actress Song Da Eun back in 2022-23. The speculations died down after she clarified that the rumors were unfounded. Recently, on June 3 a post on online discussion portal Nate Pann included details of the actress' latest revelations regarding her dating a K-pop idol and the unfavourable consequences of the same. It brought renewed attention to the Jimin dating rumours. Song Da Eun's comment on her idol boyfriend As per the Nate Pann post, Song Da Eun accepted that she was currently dating a K-pop idol during a live broadcast and it was causing her and her family immense mental strain. She mentioned that the fans of her boyfriend were unhappy regarding their relationship and even made comments regarding her seducing him. The fans allegedly also harassed her family members and thus, Song Da Eun was greatly troubled due to her love life. The fan quoted her saying, "I hope you go through the same thing that you put my family through. Like, please. I hope you get the punishment you deserve. Seriously, I wish the worst upon you." She also denied claims of being the first to approach her idol boyfriend and emotionally said that she did not deserve all the hate just because of her dating choices. "Just because the idol you love loves me doesn't mean I deserve to be hated. It's not like I made the first move. So please, stop coming at me," she stated. She also probed legal action saying that netizens alleged that she would be sued for using another celebrity's name for fame, however, as per her, it was they who would get sued for defaming her. Why do fans think that Jimin was Song Da Eun's idol boyfriend? Song Da Eun faced unwanted fan rage when details of her alleged relationship with BTS' Jimin came to light in 2022-23. The issue stemmed with her sharing a post from a hotel in Jamsil on the day of the BTS' concert in the area. Her recent comments on receiving hard criticism due to her dating a beloved idol led fans to speculate that she might be talking about Jimin.

BTS loses global dominance to rising K-pop stars who just beat Kendrick Lamar and Billie Eilish in album sales

BTS is just days away from their big June reunion, with a full-group music comeback likely dropping next year. While the legendary K-pop force that once ruled the global charts may be on track to snatch back their spotlight, part of which dimmed during their military enlistment, for now, The Hollywood Reporter has crowned SEVENTEEN as the 'the world's most successful K-pop band.' The 13-member boy band, formed in 2015, just cracked the global top 3 in album sales alongside pop stars like Taylor Swift, and beating Grammy history maker Kendrick Lamar. In their recent piece, The Edge of Seventeen, the outlet heaped praises on the group's rising cultural dominance, and how these artists are reinventing themselves, doing stadium tours bigger than Bruce Springsteen's and selling as many albums as Taylor Swift. The HYBE label boy band—also home to BTS—is managed by its subsidiary, Pledis Entertainment. SEVENTEEN consists of members Jeonghan, Joshua, Jun, Hoshi, Wonwoo, Woozi, The 8, Mingyu, DK, Seungkwan, Vernon, and Dino. From giant posters and birthday banners to subway train ads and snack packs with their faces on, Seoul's drowning in SEVENTEEN mania as the group marks 10 years and drops their new album, Happy Burstday. According to the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry, in 2024, they were officially the biggest music group in the world in terms of album sales, only Taylor Swift and Drake ranked higher. SEVENTEEN beat out names like The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, and Kendrick Lamar. Big names, some with Academy Awards, others with straight-up Grammy hauls and cult-like followings. Their Asia tour (2023–2024) pulled in a jaw-dropping $98.4 million from just 24 shows, making it the highest-grossing K-pop tour of the year. But that momentum might be heading for a breather, with more members gearing up for enlistment. South Korea requires all men to serve before they hit 30. Jeonghan and Wonwoo have already reported for duty, and others are next in line. Happy Burstday came in swinging, over 2.2 million copies sold on day one. Wild to think back to 2015, when they debuted with 17 Carat and barely moved 1,400 units in the first week. 'We are standing at a new starting line, preparing for a new path ahead and ready to blaze a new trail,' S Coups said during the interview with the HR. 'Most of the members are going to enlist in the military soon. Up until now, we've mostly focused on our group promotions,' Hoshi, the leader of the band, added. 'We would like to show more of our individualities, each of the members' personalities and capabilities, so that when the time comes and we get back together again as a group, we'll be able to showcase ourselves as a better Seventeen.' It went on to become the second-highest first-week sales for a BTS album, right behind their 2020 release Map of the Soul: 7. According to The Korea Times, it sold over 2.75 million copies in the first week. Right now, every member of the group is focused on solo projects, with J-Hope on a world tour and Jin simultaneously holding concerts across South Korea. The group is set for a full comeback in June this year, with a possible musical return lined up for 2026.
