Immigration busts two salons secretly offering sex services
KUALA LUMPUR: Two salons in Jalan Kuchai Lama and Bandar Sri Petaling here, which were secretly offering sex services under the guise of hair and facial treatments, were busted following a raid by the Immigration Department yesterday.
The syndicate is believed to have used the WeChat application to promote its services, providing clients with a catalogue of foreign women to choose from before making a booking.
Immigration director-general Datuk Zakaria Shaaban said the 6pm operation involved checks on 59 individuals, comprising three foreign men, 45 foreign women and 11 locals.
"Three foreign men and 45 foreign women, aged between 23 and 35, from Vietnam, Indonesia, Bangladesh and Laos were detained for various offences.
"Three local men, believed to be caretakers, were also arrested. Intelligence gathered over a two-week period revealed that these premises have been operating for the past two years," he said in a statement today.
Zakaria said the premises operated by advertising men's hair and facial grooming packages while discreetly offering sexual services as part of the package.
"Subscription fees ranged from RM150 to RM250 depending on the type of service requested by the customer. The outlets operated from 3pm to 2am daily.
"All the foreign women lived at the premises, which were equipped with dormitory-style bedrooms. The illegal operation was believed to generate profits of RM1,000 to RM1,500 per day," he said.
During the raid, several foreign women were found entertaining customers, comprising locals and tourists.
Offences identified included lack of identification documents, overstaying, permit abuse and other violations under the Immigration Act 1959/63, Passport Act 1966, and Immigration Regulations 1963.
"All detainees have been placed at the Bukit Jalil Immigration Depot for further investigation and action," he added.

Teacher in viral sex video scandal lodges police report over spread of footage

Terengganu JPV seizes 28 smuggled goats ahead of Aidiladha
KUALA TERENGGANU: The Terengganu Department of Veterinary Services (JPV) seized 28 goats suspected to have been smuggled from a neighbouring country following the interception of a white Toyota Hiace van in Kampung Teris, Hulu Terengganu, at around 10am today. Its director Dr Anun Man said the operation was the result of several days of surveillance by enforcement officers who had tracked the vehicle from Kampung Gong Manok in Pasir Puteh, Kelantan. The suspects were caught after a brief chase. 'The smugglers used a van to avoid detection, and its closed structure made it difficult for authorities to identify any suspicious activity,' he told a press conference here today, adding that the seized goats and van are estimated to be worth RM86,000. Two male suspects in their 50s were arrested and are being investigated under Section 36(1) of the Animals Act 1953, which carries a fine of up to RM15,000. Dr Anun said the goats were likely intended for the Terengganu or national market, given the high demand for livestock ahead of Hari Raya Aidiladha next week. He expressed concern that some of the animals showed signs of illness such as coughing, runny noses, and foaming at the mouth, raising fears of contagious diseases like foot and mouth disease (FMD). 'We want to ensure animals used for korban are healthy and safe, not diseased. 'Terengganu JPV will step up enforcement to prevent illegal livestock movement into the state, especially in the lead-up to Aidiladha,' he added. So far this year, 13 such cases have been foiled, involving 78 cows, 46 sheep, and seven goats.

Teacher in Alor Gajah affair controversy lodges report over leaked video
ALOR GAJAH: A 31-year-old female teacher at the centre of controversy surrounding an alleged extramarital affair has lodged a police report, claiming that an intimate video of her has gone viral. Alor Gajah OCPD Supt Ashari Abu Samah said the teacher lodged a report here recently as she was dissatisfied upon discovering that her intimate video had been circulated. He said police have opened an investigation under Section 509 of the Penal Code for insulting the modesty of a person and Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998. "However, we have yet to trace the video in question," he said on Saturday (May 31). Supt Ashari added that the investigation will be referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor for further instructions. On Friday (May 30), the teacher and a male wiring technician were each fined the maximum amount of RM5,000 by the Melaka Syariah High Court for attempting to commit adultery. The case had previously attracted widespread attention on social media when the female teacher issued a public apology amid allegations of an affair with a 31-year-old married man, known online as "abang wiring". The matter sparked public outrage after screenshots of lewd and inappropriate conversations between the two went viral on WhatsApp.
