Salman Khan asked, ‘life mein agey kuch karna hain' to 18-year-old Palak Tiwari, suggested working as an AD

Palak Tiwari made her acting debut in the Salman Khan film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan. Before that the actor worked behind the camera as an assistant director in Antim: The Final Truth. It was Salman who recommended Palak that she first see how a film is made and what happens on set, before she steps infront of the camera. Speaking on the latest episode of The Bombay Journey, by Mashable India, Palak opened up about how Salman sir helped her and how he has been a mentor from the beginning of her career. She said, 'It was at some Bigg Boss reunion, where Salman sir told my mom how tall I had become. He then said, 'Kuch karna warna he life mein (Have you thought of anything with your life)?' I said, 'Yes sir I want to be an actor, sir.' I was 17-18. He said that before you become an actor you need to learn what happens behind the camera. He is such a cool guy. I said okay, because you know as an actor one can take things for granted very easily.'
Palak went on add that she is always star-struck in front of Salman, 'I've done a whole film with him, whenever I meet him till date, or even if I get a message from him, I get star-struck. I usually don't get star-struck, you can make anyone sit in front of me. But when he's in front of me, I stop speaking and start stuttering. He just changed my entire personality. Then he said, 'Aaram se bolo (speak without hesitation).''
On the work front, Palak was last seen in the film Bhootnii, which was released earlier this month and starred alongside Sanjay Dutt, Mouni Roy, and Sunny Singh.

Palak Tiwari calls mom Shweta Tiwari a ‘strong woman'; says ‘I knew whatever I would do in life I will have her backing'

Palak Tiwari , who is steadily making her mark in Bollywood, recently opened up about the deep influence her mother Shweta Tiwari has had on her life and career. Coming from a family of strong women, Palak spoke to Mashable India about how their resilience shaped her outlook. "My mom being an overachiever takes the pressure off me. In my family, we have the heritage of strong women. My nani, then my mom, all the elder women in the family are overachievers," Palak said. She further recalled how her grandmother stood by her mother during her early career struggles. "My nani was a clerk at a law office. She was very intelligent. When my mom wanted to pursue acting, everyone was against her but my nani supported her. That reduces the pressure. My mother was raised by a strong woman and my mom is a strong woman. So, I knew no matter what I do, I will have my mother's backing." Sharing a light-hearted memory from her childhood, Palak added, 'My mom's eyes are enough to scare me. She only slapped me once. Main khane ke liye bahut natak karti thi. Main khana nahi khaati thi. We had a dog, Tobby, who's no more with us. He was young then. He would eat everything. Mom gave Bournvita, and she told me to drink it but instead Tobby licked it. My mom slapped me hard, but that was the first and last time. She was scared of her nail extension and Tobby also got stressed. ' Shweta Tiwari, known for her iconic role in Kasautii Zindagii Kay, has built a successful television career, navigating both professional highs and personal challenges with grace and strength. Meanwhile, Palak entered the industry with her Bollywood debut in Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, starring opposite Salman Khan, and is now steadily establishing herself. Their beautiful bond is a perfect example of love, support, and strength between a mother and daughter.

Why Aamir Khan Was "Fired" From Shah Rukh Khan's Darr

New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan's 1993 film Darr marked a significant chapter in his career. The superstar played a negative role in this Yash Chopra-directed romance thriller. Juhi Chawla and Sunny Deol were also a part of the cast. But do you know that it was Aamir Khan who wanted to play the titular character? Aamir Khan revealed that it was Yash Chopra who fired him from Darr. The actor, in a conversation with Zoom, revealed, 'I didn't say no to Darr. I said yes, but I was fired from the film because I wanted a joint narration. There were two actors, and I've this principle that if there are two actors, then the director should give a joint narration.' He added, 'Yash ji did not want to do that, so he fired me. Everyone has their own way of working. I think when two people are working together, they should listen to the narration together, so we can work together as a team. They should all listen to the film together. That didn't happen in Darr, so I was fired. I was removed from Darr.' Aamir Khan said that he also wanted a joint narration for his 1994 film Andaz Apna Apna. The 60-year-old shared screen space with Salman Khan in this Rajkumar Santoshi directorial. Aamir Khan said, 'Like in Andaz Apna Apna, when Rajkumar Santoshi was narrating for the first time, Salman cancelled the meeting thrice. We got there, but he was not present. His secretary said, 'Salman will listen to it later, you guys carry on, he is doing the film'. I said I will not listen to it either. I will only listen to it when Salman is present. He cancelled thrice, but we finally listened to it together.' Shah Rukh Khan played the role of an obsessive stalker, Rahul Mehra, in Darr. He makes it his mission to woo Juhi Chawla's Kiran, despite her being in love with another man (Sunny Deol). At present, Aamir Khan is awaiting the release of Sitaare Zameen Par. The film, which is the sequel to his 2007 hit Taare Zameen Par, will premiere on June 20, 2025.
