BBC boss Ben Wadey's new era of EastEnders kicked off with a bang last night, as Zoe Slater (Michelle Ryan) returned after 20 years.
It's the return that absolutely everyone has wanted, and now we're finally getting it.
There was much mystery throughout last night's episode, as Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) glided around a messy flat, trying to convince a woman sleeping on the sofa to get her life back together.
She desperately tried to contact Alfie Moon (Shane Richie), hoping he could help, though by the time he arrived, the woman had vanished.
Then, the door unlocked. She entered the living room. It was Zoe! Doof doof…
Michelle has reprised the role for episodes that air this week, though we'll have to wait a little longer for her next stint – as she won't return again until later in the year.
One thing that was instantly picked up on was the Slater family resemblence.
'Why's Zoe look like a grown up Lily' said @AmandaLooLah.
@RyanJL agreed: 'The similiarities between Zoe and Lily though. Casting struck gold with Lillia!'
'Zoe just looks so scarily uncanny for Lily' said @DigiTay33.
Viewers are, of course, referring to Stacey's eldest daughter Lily (Lillia Turner), who is currently on a break from the show to sit exams.
The 16-year old actress joined the soap in 2020, and has been at the centre of some huge storylines during her five years.
She was recently seen spiralling in the wake of father figure Martin Fowler's (James Bye) death, setting fire to his fruit and veg stall and turning to drugs and alcohol as a coping mechanism.
It would certainly be interesting to see her and Zoe side by side!
'Here we go…' Michelle wrote on Instagram yesterday, sharing a snap of some highlighted scripts with a tomato-shaped egg timer on top. https://www.instagram.com/p/DK-YPtisFB9/
Her fans flocked to the comments, thrilled to have her back in Albert Square.
'It was lovely to see you and Lacey onscreen together again after 20 years!' said one. More Trending
Another added: 'The fact Zoe has been gone for 20 years yet everyone who watches Eastenders is ecstatic she's back speaks volumes about the character's impact on the show and how she's still one of the most iconic characters to date in the British soap world!

'I can't wait to see Zoe's reaction when she learns she has a long long TWIN brother.'
'You was on Eastenders YEARS before I was born (I'm nearly 19) and I'm still absolutely ecstatic that you're back I am so unbelievably happy, you were brilliant and I'm sure you're gonna be brilliant this time round!!!' said a third.

M3GAN 2.0 risks crossing ‘really fine line' with explicit jokes

To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video Film bosses had intense conversations about whether multiple vagina jokes were acceptable in the M3GAN 2.0 sequel, director Gerard Johnstone has confessed. Two years after the murderous doll, expertly played by Amie Donald, went on a rampage on the big screen, she has returned for a second helping alongside Allison Williams, Violet McGraw, Jenna Davis, Brian Jordan Alvarez and Jen Van Epps. In a fresh take on the horror movie sequel, this time there is some doll on doll – or robot on robot – action as she faces off against Amelia (Ivanna Sakhno), another creation who is transformed into a military bot. However, things take a turn when she becomes self-aware and targets her creators, leaving Gemma (Allison) no choice but to upgrade Megan's software to give them all a fighting chance of survival. Speaking to Metro ahead of the release on June 27, filmmaker Gerard shed light on the truth behind the character's sassiness, and whether they ever crossed a 'really fine line' in the script. 'There were conversations about whether or not you can have two vagina jokes in one movie,' he let slip. 'But in the end, the fun won out in that one, so we went for it. 'I was conscious of what the line is going into it. As I've been saying to a lot of people, bless them, the marketing campaign of this movie has been huge, but it sort of sometimes portrays the movie as being a little bit more camp than it really is. 'This really rides a fine line of tension and humor, and as we do this film, we're very conscious of that, of never overstepping the mark.' While Gerard and co were worried about overstepping, they made sure that fans of different genres of movies would be delighted with the finished product. After the trailer for the follow-up premiered, many were concerned that the scary elements that made the first movie so iconic had been swapped with an action-heavy plot. Despite some differences, the director has promised that the 'horror DNA' is still as present – and compared his plans for the creepy doll to another huge movie franchise. 'For me, it's an extension of the character,' he continued. 'When I was a kid, the Evil Dead movies were a huge influence on me, and I was freaked out by 1, rocked by 2 – but also conscious that it had a sense of humor – and then 3 was just this flat-out adventure with demons in it. 'To me, that was just such a great reminder that you don't have to be bound by limitations, as long as you have a great character and you're true to the origins of your tale. I think that's what is happening with M3GAN 2.0, really. 'We're conscious of the fact that she's this murder-bot, but if we're going to have a redemption story for her, then why not move into more of the action realm, and espionage? Certainly, if a technology like Megan exists, it would be used in military robots. It would be an infiltration Android. 'I just thought, if a technology like Megan existed, this is the most obvious way to use it. Instead of drones, you can send in something that looks like a human and it's a much more targeted way of carrying out strikes. 'As soon as I looked at it from a logical point of view, it just made sense that the genre would have to change.' More Trending 'Having said that there are a lot of sequences in the movie that are anchored in a horror DNA,' he insisted. 'Especially Megan's lair, for example. But it's a different kind of horror. It's more mood and atmosphere, and it's undoubtedly more fun. 'We've taken the villain from the first movie and put her center stage. By virtue of doing that, it's not going to be quite as creepy as the first movie, but it's a different experience, and one that I still think is a hell of a lot of fun.' He's definitely not wrong… M3GAN 2.0 is in cinemas from June 27. Got a story? Presenter Aggie MacKenzie pays tribute to ‘incredible' and ‘fierce' Kim Woodburn

Woodburn, whose death following a short illness was confirmed by her manager, would visit dirty homes with MacKenzie on the Channel 4 show, and proceed to clean them, with the duo sharing tips as they went. In a statement, MacKenzie said: 'Kim was a tormented soul, but now she's finally at peace. We clashed often. Behind the fierce persona was deep pain and incredible strength. 'She survived because she had to. I hope she's resting now. She was an unforgettable woman.' Kim Woodburn was evicted in third place during the Big Brother 2017 final (Ian West/PA) The highly camp show, with its dramatic music and Woodburn's scolding of the offending homeowners, proved a huge hit, turning the two into overnight stars. The show, which ran from 2003 to 2009, led to book deals and other endorsements, with Woodburn appearing on various reality shows. Woodburn appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017 and was among the line-up for E4's Celebrity Cooking School in 2022. A statement from her manager said: 'It is with immense sadness that we let you know our beloved Kim Woodburn passed away yesterday following a short illness. 'Kim was an incredibly kind, caring, charismatic and strong person. 'Her husband, Peter, is heartbroken at the loss of his soulmate. 'We are so proud of the amazing things Kim achieved in her life and career. 'We kindly ask that Kim's husband and close friends are given the time and privacy they need to grieve. 'We will not be releasing any further details.' Her husband added in a post on Woodburn's Instagram account: 'My wonderful, beautiful, Kim passed away last night. God bless, my love.' She finished in third place on Celebrity Big Brother in 2017, when Loose Women star Coleen Nolan won and Irish pop twins Jedward were second. The twins, whose real names are John and Edward Grimes, said in a tribute to Woodburn: 'Rest in peace Kim Woodburn, you're forever our Celebrity Big Brother friend. 'We grew up watching you and to share those memories together, you will be truly missed for the TV gold you created for all generations. 'You had our back when we got bullied in CBB and we will never forget that. There will never be another Kim Woodburn.' In an Instagram post, the duo posted a picture of them hugging Woodburn on the show. Kim Woodburn and Aggie MacKenzie (Yui Mok/PA) The cleaning guru was regularly challenged over her angry outbursts and controversial attitude during her time in the Big Brother house. Nolan and Woodburn fell out during the show, and Woodburn appeared on Loose Women in 2018 in an attempt to settle their feud but things quickly turned nasty between them. Woodburn broke down as she discussed her traumatic childhood, before walking off the set and branding Nolan 'lying trash'. The clash sparked more than 3,000 complaints to regulator Ofcom, with the majority being about how the Loose Women panel treated Woodburn. During 2009's I'm A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! she was among the final three left in the jungle, with TV chef Gino D'Acampo crowned the winner. She had spats with several campmates, retired boxer Joe Bugner in particular, although the two later bonded. But she also took on some stomach-churning tasks in the jungle, chomping down on a kangaroo's testicle during one challenge while campmate Katie Price could only look on. She also managed to down a witchetty grub smoothie in a cocktails trial, after vomiting it back up on the first attempt. Her autobiography titled Unbeaten: The Story Of My Brutal Childhood was published in 2006. She described a miserable childhood spent living between her parents, a succession of children's homes and a convent, before making an escape just before her 16th birthday. But it also described happier times as an adult, including her 'wonderfully happy marriage' and becoming Britain's 'queen of clean'.

Meghan insists her personal Instagram is for fun, not for promoting her brand

Meghan said returning to social media at the start of the year was 'a great way to get my voice back', and she uses it for 'authentic' sharing such as her twerking video. 'It's my space and my channel for joy,' she added. The former Suits actress went back on Instagram in January, first with footage of her running around a beach and writing 2025 in the sand, and then a montage from her Netflix show With Love, Meghan. The duchess has made numerous posts about her jam-selling venture As Ever, mentioning her As Ever Instagram account, but has also released photos and videos of the Sussexes' life with their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. On Lili's fourth birthday last week, Meghan shared footage of herself twerking in a labour room while heavily pregnant with her daughter. On the Aspire with Emma Grede podcast, entrepreneur Grede asked Meghan about her return to social media, saying: 'Are you thinking about it in the way that so many of us do as also a business tool?' Meghan replied: 'Not for my personal account, no.' Grede challenged her, asking: 'Really?' Meghan said: 'For my personal account? …No.' Grede told her: 'Well that's the one we're all following.' Meghan replied and laughed: 'Well good…as long as you're following As Ever too. 'No, I think for me it was great way to get my voice back… It's my space and my channel for joy – that is the intention of my handle.' Meghan's personal account @Meghan has 3.8 million followers. Her @aseverofficial account has 847,000 followers, and is linked into her @Meghan bio, as is her ShopMy collection. The duchess said of her personal account: 'I think if part of it is just being able to authentically share in real time the things that are happening that I think someone might be able to last with, or enjoy or be inspired by.' She said she wanted to post in a way that was 'not overproduced'. Addressing the recent twerking video, which showed her dancing to the Baby Mama song in a bid to bring on labour with Lili, Meghan described it as a reminder of a 'real authentic fun life'. The duchess said it felt liberating to be back on social media where she can share things on her own terms. 'That wasn't yesterday. That was four years ago so it's also a really great reminder that with all the noise or whatever people do, there's still whole life, a real, authentic, fun life that's happening behind the scenes,' Meghan said. 'I'm just grateful that now, being back on social as well, I have a place where I can share it on my own terms.' She added: 'It feels liberating.'
