
Skateboarder seriously injured after being struck by vehicle in midtown Toronto
A skateboarder has been seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle in Toronto's Wychwood neighbourhood Thursday afternoon.
Toronto police say they received a call for a collision just after 2:30 p.m. in the area of Christie Street and Davenport Road.
Police say the skateboarder, a man in his 30s, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, police say.
The cause of the collision is unknown.

Police in Abbotsford, B.C., say a man is dead and another is in custody after a shooting at an apartment building. Woman facing charges after fatal hit and run in Salluit, Nunavik
