India Release
The third Avatar instalment is expected to be one of the year's biggest global box office draws, particularly in India, where the film will be released in six languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

Exclusive - Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Rohit Purohit: I try to bring to my characters a sense of connection and honesty

Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai actor Rohit Purohit, known for his impactful performances and strong screen presence, believes that the essence of a great performance lies in keeping it real and staying true to the character. In an era where audiences increasingly value authenticity and emotional depth, Rohit shares his approach to acting and storytelling. 'My simple formula is to be as human, authentic, and believable as possible in every performance. I always aim to keep things grounded in reality. When we sit down for a conversation with a friend over coffee, we talk and connect. That's what I try to bring to my characters — a sense of connection and honesty.' He adds, 'Films and shows are essentially stories told through visuals. If the audience can't connect with the character or find them believable, the story falls flat. For me, realism and authenticity are the most powerful tools an actor can use.' Reflecting on his journey in the industry, Rohit points out the importance of casting in the success of any project. 'Even when I was starting out, I'd hear people say that the right casting solves fifty percent of the problem. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Buy the Dip: Top 5 Dividend Stocks with Growth Potential Seeking Alpha Read More Undo I truly believe that. If you cast someone who fits the character well, half your work is done,' he explains. He further elaborates, 'We've seen so many big-budget films fail because the casting didn't align with the story. Just attaching a big name to a project doesn't guarantee success anymore. Audiences today are smart — they want to see depth, not just glamour.' Looking ahead, Rohit sees casting directors playing an even more crucial role in the filmmaking process. 'Their job is no longer just about matching faces to roles — it's about bringing out the soul of a character and understanding the creative needs of the story.'
