Promising review: "Whenever I see or feel a new zit coming along, I put one of these over it and they work so well! I have tried other brands but always make my way back to this one because it just works so much better than the others. The price isn't terrible, but a little on the high side. However, it is completely worth it! My zits go away so much faster, stay less red, and these keep me from picking at them." —AllysonGet it from Amazon for $12.99+ (available in three sizes). My dermatologist does not stop stressing the importance of daily use of SPF on the face, so now I'm happy I can still cover up my pimples and protect my skin from harsh UV rays from the sun. I broke my dominant arm a while back, and blending became very difficult for me. I had never used liquid shadow before because I assumed it would be difficult to work with — messy, sticky, tacky, etc. This product gave me the ability to do eyeshadow again while I had very limited mobility. I swear, you barely have to manipulate it for it to blend seamlessly. Anyone with any skill level can make this product blend into the skin flawlessly. It doesn't dry too quickly, but once it does, it is totally dry and doesn't leave tackiness. While I was struggling badly with my limited mobility, this product allowed me to do my makeup again and feel like myself with very little effort, which was all I could give at the time. I am so grateful I had this product during one of the hardest times of my life. Want stronger legs without running? I tried rucking for a week, and it's a game-changer

I've been writing about fitness for the past decade and have seen countless workout trends come and go. Right now, everyone is talking about the benefits of walking, and more specifically, walking with a weighted backpack — also known as rucking. Rucking has roots in military training, and is a full-body workout that'll strengthen your muscles and send your heart rate soaring. Rucking is new to me, but never one to shy away from a challenge, I swapped my daily runs for rucking for a week. Read what happened when I grabbed a weighted backpack and gave this a go. The Novablast 5 are our favorite running shoes overall. They come in a variety of colors, are great for runners or walkers of all levels, and deliver an impressive mix of comfort, responsiveness, and versatility. Rucking is walking with a weighted vest or backpack on your back. Despite the weight, it's a low-impact workout, and you don't need any special equipment to get started. Despite lots of brands selling specialized rucking vests, a regular, comfortable backpack (preferably with padded shoulder straps) loaded with a dumbbell or a couple of books is enough to give rucking a go. If you do want to buy a specific vest, our AI writer Amanda Caswell swears by this $25 vest from Amazon. Compared to your regular walk, you'll burn a lot more calories rucking, as your muscles will be working harder to move. As a form of strength training, over time, rucking will help you build and maintain muscle strength, improve bone density, and build your cardiovascular fitness. As with all new exercise routines, it's always a good idea to check with your doctor before trying it, especially if you're recovering from an injury or pregnancy. Keen to find out more, I tried rucking for seven days. There's no doubt about it — rucking is a full-body workout. The additional weight made my walk more challenging from my first step. On day one, I was perhaps a little overambitious, loading a 7kg (15-pound) dumbbell into my go-to running backpack. I'd read that when it comes to selecting a weight for rucking, you should start with 10-15% of your body weight, so at 119 pounds, this seemed about right. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. By the end of the walk, I found that the weight made my walk a lot harder than expected. I could feel my legs working hard, as was my core and upper body, which were working to keep my torso upright. I'm currently 15 months postpartum, so I'd probably recommend starting lighter and building up, rather than chucking yourself into the rucking-deep-end like I did, as I was aching by the time I removed my backpack. As my toddler is only in nursery three mornings a week, for the rest of this challenge, I strapped him to my back instead. Far wrigglier than a dumbbell, he added to the rucking experience, as unlike a dumbbell, he'd lean his bodyweight to the left or right, depending on what he wanted to see. He also added the extra challenge of having to fish snacks out from my pockets and raise my arms to hand them to him. The good news is, however, focusing on pointing out every school bus and garbage truck made my 30-minute walk pass by faster. My top tip when it comes to trying rucking for the first time? Spend a decent amount of time getting properly set up before you walk. As I mentioned, on day one, the weight was too heavy and I kept stopping to tighten or loosen straps as I went. I walked with a running backpack that had a chest strap, which I found really helped distribute the weight evenly across my back. I also appreciated the padded shoulder straps. When it came to carrying my toddler, I used the Osprey Poco Child Carrier, and spent some time adjusting the back support to ensure the weight wasn't sitting on my hips. This isn't the kind of walk where you want to rush out the door — the right set up is essential if you want to avoid injuries. The Osprey Poco Child carrier comes in black or green (pictured), has zippered pockets to store snacks and other items, comes with a sun shade, and can support itself on the ground. It can accommodate children up to 40 pounds. I don't often have to consider my form as I walk, but the additional weight on my back made me do so. The tendency is to lean your torso forward, especially towards the end of the walk, as your muscles get tired, but this can put additional strain on your lower back. Start with a lighter weight, and think about keeping your shoulders back and your abs braced as you walk. My verdict after a week of rucking? I loved the additional challenge, and this is definitely something I'll keep in my routine. As my toddler gets bigger and I get stronger, the weight will increase, making him my perfect rucking companion. That said, if you don't have an energetic 15-month-old to strap to your back, why not invest in one of the best adjustable dumbbells instead?

65 Mundane Things You'll Use All The Time

A bag of protein coffee that I am literally drinking as we speak (peep the picture below, I'm not lying!) for people who are *great* about drinking their morning coffee and terrible about getting in 1) breakfast and 2) enough protein. This stuff is going so viral, I'm surprised it's ever in stock. And it makes sense, because this is the two-in-one we've all been waiting for. SweatBlock antiperspirant wipes with a clinical strength formula that'll last up to seven days (!!!) for folks who get seasonal depression whenever the sun has them sweatin' it for no good reason. A set of breathable, seamless thongs specifically loved by several reviewers who "hate" thongs. Folks say these are comfortable all day *and* claim they're comparable to (and even better than!) brands like Skims and Victoria's Secret. I'm sold. Like, literally. Buying now. Don't keep waking and flipping your toasty pillow over in frustration — it's gonna be your cool sleep summer! A hidden fly trap you plug into an outlet when you have house flies, fruit flies, moths, or gnats crawling around. The little light lures bugs by up to 400 feet (!!!), and the sneaky design means this thing'll be blastin' bugs by the dozen without ruining your room's clean aesthetic. A daily planner to help you track school schedules, chores, and even your water intake if your spring cleaning goals this year are more about cleaning up your cluttered mind. Thanks, A-types, for finding a way to keep the house clean *and* stay a planner. An oscillating tower fan with six speeds (we're talkin' up to 24 feet per second velocity), three modes, and a surprisingly quiet design despite its power. If you're intimidated by installing an A.C. in your fourth-floor gonna be a big fan of this gadget. A retinol body lotion — sure, retinol is great for your face, but there's a whole *body* of skin it can help out! This particularly dreamy, creamy formula helps promote skin cell turnover using retinol, while the ferulic acid firms skin to promote natural skin tightening. A versatile veggie chopper that'll help you prep (and clean up!) with speed that feels downright magical. The interchangeable blades just pop out, then just throw them right into the dishwasher! This'll help you get into the swing of things this salad season. A smooth edge can opener — a Shark Tank favorite that'll remove the entire top off of any can (it's got a universal fit!), helping you take your canned drinks to the next level this summer. Pop off the top of your Diet Coke and add in some ice cream, mixers, ice, or whatever else you have. Then safely sip away! I'm feeling refreshed just thinking about it. A bottle of professional-grade callus-removing gel (with over 40,000 five-star reviews!!) to get your neglected winter feet sandal-season ready — to use this spiffy stuff, just presoak your feet, apply the gel, let it sit, and rinse. Watch in wonder as you scrape off *years* worth of painful calluses. A longline sports bra so your outfit can say "Lululemon" even if your bank account is saying "no new clothes at all." This top-tier top is a hit with reviewers because it's suitable for so much: outdoor workouts, gym use, *and* casual wear. Its lightweight design is breathable but sturdy and supportive without being too compressive, making it a staple both at work and while working out. A Java Sock that'll do the two most important things for your beloved iced coffees ( drinks. I know people drink other drinks!) 1) It'll keep that caramel almond milk cold brew cold for ages — hours, according to reviewers — and 2) It'll keep your drink from sweating into your cupholder or all over your desk. It's a cruel twist of fate that iced coffee sweats as much as we do in the spring and summer. Rael "Miracle Invisible Spot Cover" Pimple Patches for anyone who thinks the best skincare treat they could possibly give themselves is pimple patches that don't shout, "Look over here at this vacuum-sealed pimple bursting from my face!" These have the same hydrocolloid formula for relieving the redness, swelling, and pus from breakouts *without* the usual show-and-tell. A refillable roll-on sponge sunscreen applicator sure to make putting on sunscreen (both on your kids *and* on yourself) less of a chore. This goes on fast and blends in easily — no mess required! Families and other folks who look like *dweebs* slathering on sunscreen are sure to look at your quick application with envy. Gold Bond's firming neck and chest cream — whether you've noticed your neck skin practically hanging on for dear life thanks to that darn gravitational pull or find your décolletage creased in the center from side sleeping, the glycerin and aloe in this formula can give that delicate skin some much-needed hydration, while the salicylic acid can gently exfoliate dead skin cells. Reviewers say patience is worth it with this one, so give your body time to soak it all in and enjoy those results! Cloning paste — if you've found that your houseplants are standing around stagnant, you're gonna *love* this stuff! This little formula helps encourage new growth and buds. It's technically made for orchids, but it works on all sorts of plants! Begonias, a string of pearls, pothos, you name it! The Car Seat Key for parents and guardians who have had one too many manicures ruined by car seat clips.
