Olivia Bowen shares pregnancy update after revealing Vanishing Twin Syndrome
The former Love Island star, 31, is expecting her second child with husband Alex Bowen this summer.
The couple, already parents to son Abel Jacob, began this pregnancy with twins, but Olivia revealed earlier this year she suffered Vanishing Twin Syndrome (VTS), a condition in which one embryo is lost early on, leaving just one developing fetus.
Speaking to fans on Instagram, Olivia said the nursery is ready, 'her little clothes are washed and folded, and we've got her bottles ready to go.' The preparations, she admitted, stirred powerful memories of when Abel was born.
'It brings back so many memories of when our village helped feed Abe… those quiet, lovely moments where family could bond with him, and I could have a much-needed breather too,' she wrote. 'It was never just about the feeds – it was about feeling supported, surrounded, and lifted up.'

Olivia said she already pictures Alex giving Baby Girl her first bottle (while I sneak off for that much-needed nap). He's the one who keeps us going, always showing up with a cup of tea, a kind word, or a belly laugh with Abel. It really does take a village, and I'm so grateful for mine.'
Vanishing Twin Syndrome, which effects around 36% of twin pregnancies, is usually caused by DNA abnormalities in one twin. It can happen without any symptoms, and that was the case for Olivia – who only learned of the loss at a scan.
She previously shared how the loss effected her mental health: 'I have battled with depression and anxiety for most of my teen years onwards, and when I felt its ugly head rising stronger than I'd ever felt when I was pregnant with Abel, I was absolutely terrified,' she told followers.
'I felt like that darkness was taking over and pulling me down with both paws.'
After giving birth to Abel, she said, 'I felt it again… it's not just the hormones, it's the whole expectation, the change, and the world feeling different to what you have experienced your whole life. Then fast forward to this year, losing one of our precious babies to Vanishing Twin Syndrome and going through the most complicated batch of emotions I've ever felt.'
According to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Vanishing Twin Syndrome is:
'When one of the twins or multiple embryos dies in utero, disappears or gets resorbed partially or entirely, with an outcome of a spontaneous reduction of a multi-fetus pregnancy to a singleton pregnancy, portraying the image of a vanishing twin.
'This phenomenon occurs in about half of pregnancies with three or more gestational sacs, 36% twin pregnancies, and 20 to 30% of pregnancies achieved with assisted reproductive techniques.'
However, despite these lows, Olivia shared that since speaking out, she's been 'utterly astounded' by the number of women who've reached out with similar experiences. More Trending
Her advice: 'Never be ashamed of your emotions. It is the most incredible thing about you – being able to feel so deeply. It is so scary to be so vulnerable, isn't it?
'This is a crazy ride and sometimes it's beautiful and rewarding and sometimes it's cruel and confusing. I'm here for you all. Please look after the women and mothers in your life.'
For Olivia, this summer is now about focusing on joy, family, and welcoming her daughter – with her 'village' ready to support her every step of the way.

Her images, taken with the help of a mirror in a white-walled dressing room, saw her accessorise with a pair of sunglasses and pendant necklace. Yet after hitting upload, the 2013 BBC show star and CBB contestant was hit with a slew of vile remarks, which ranged from calling her "malnourished" to urging her to eat a "Greggs steak bake." One unkind Instagram user wrote: "I mean this genuinely, and I'm no Greek god but you genuinely look unhealthy and very malnourished…" A second posted: "Appreciate you feel good and happy but younger girls watching and aspiring may follow suit and this isn't good for anyone…" A third then put: "Babe always thought you were fit, but a little tooooooo slim my love xxx." One then added: "Could do with a good meal. May I suggest a Greggs steak bake followed by a Vanilla slice." Another remarked: "You need a good feed girl." Yet after spotting the comments on her feed, the brunette took the keyboard bullies to task directly. Luisa Zissman breaks down in tears over 'majestic' horse's death and says she got him stuff because she 'couldn't bear not to see him again' She headed to her Instagram Stories for a text post which read: "The comments on this holiday bikini pic. "Imagine I went round calling of you biscuit eating McDonald's loving lazy people fatties' and insisted her body is the result of 'energetic, health and mostly clean living'. Luisa, who is more than entitled to defend herself from the hurtful remarks, wrote: 'If you got off your a***s and stopped shoving s**t in your mouths you wouldn't be as fat and fat wouldn't be normal. "Just because the majority of people are overweight does NOT mean it's healthy." She added: "Shocking that when people see a healthy body with a healthy BMI in a healthy weight range they think it's not normal." STANDING ON BUSINESS Luisa continued to fight her corner on her second Instagram Stories slide. In it, she wrote in white text on a black background: "And no, I'm not sorry for my comments it's TRUE. "I'm stronger than most of you mo*fos, I can do endless press ups, pulls ups, I lift weights… "I can do sit ups until the cows come home and all you can do is comment that I'm unhealthy when you're craving Greggs at 8am when your lazy a***s wakes up…. 'So go f**k yourselves. The world is a sad place when everyone is normalising being a fat b*****d and having your organs surrounded by layers of fat is normal. "OBESITY IS THE NHS BIGGEST COST. Then you all moan you can't get a doctors appt." FAN SUPPORT Away from the trolling, Luisa's fans and famous faces were quick to support her. One pal posted: "Having met you in real life last week, I know you look fit, healthy and strong! Haters gonna hate." Former MIC star Ashley James then posted: "Looking at the comments - normalise not discussing people's weight." A fan then posted: "I just saw the response to the dumbass comments on this post and its made me love you even more! "Yea Luisa! Yes! bloody love you and your raw comebacks! You look and ARE amazing!!!" After her Apprentice fame, Luisa went on to star in Celebrity Big Brother 13 where she came fourth. The Milton Keynes born star then became a panelist on spin off show, Big Brother's Bit On The Side before launching her own podcast with Anna Williamson. Paige Spiranac reveals every single bit of cosmetic surgery she's had after ‘a lot of speculation' about boob job
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) PAIGE SPIRANAC has revealed all the plastic surgery she has had on her body, admitting there have been a lot of changes. Taking to her Instagram story in a candid Q&A with fans, Paige lifted the lid after a fan asked her about the truth behind her looks. The American said: "There's been a lot of speculation over the cosmetic work that I've had done, so let's be transparent right now. "Yes, my face and body do look different than when I first started doing this. "One I am older and two I am 50 pounds heavier but this is all the work I've had done over a nine-year span." Paige revealed she had had no work done to her body, with all of it being real. However, her face has had its share of procedures. She explained: "I've had my nose done and then I've had filler work done in the past, but I don't think I have any filler left in my face right now. "I've done Botox before [but] I don't have any botox in my face currently. "I'll just do my upper forehead and sometimes around my eyes. Paige Spiranac rival Claire Hogle turns heads in stunning outfit after wowing fans with skills on and off the course "These are two veneers, my teeth just never grew in properly there. "And I will do laser work for resurfacing and tightening, and that's all." That means there have been no secret surgeries across her time in the spotlight, something which is quite rare in the influencer sphere. According to the BBC, 27,462 cosmetic surgery procedures were conducted in the UK in 2024 - a five per cent rise on 2023 - with nine in ten of these surgeries being women. Boob jobs were the most popular treatment, followed by breast reduction surgery in second place. However, the figures indicate that much of the rise was driven by facial rejuvenation surgery, similar to what Paige admits to having had done.

Katie Price reaches out to ex Peter Andre after years of not speaking as she vows to heal ‘rift' over Princess
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) KATIE Price has held out an olive branch to ex husband Peter Andre as she vows to heal the "rift" over their daughter Princess. All this week, viewers have been watching the rising star find her own path in the world of showbiz in her reality show, The Princess Diaries. Sign up for the Entertainment newsletter Sign up 3 Katie Price has held out an olive branch to ex husband Peter Andre Credit: Getty 3 The former glamour model wants to hash things out once and for all with Peter Credit: Splash 3 Katie said she's feeling left out of certain parts of her children's life Credit: princess_andre/Instagram It comes as Katie, 47, and Princess, 18, are currently going through a rough patch in their relationship, as exclusively revealed by The Sun. But Katie has now insisted that she's a "bloody good mum" to her five children and wants to sit down with Pete to discuss their issues once and for all. The TV personality said on the latest episode of her Katie Price Show podcast: "There's no reason why both parents just can't be there to support her. Now this isn't about me. I have to clarify this. "I don't care that I'm not in Princess's show. "I don't need to raise my profile by being on Princess's show, I do enough stuff. "All what I want to do, is just whatever my daughter does, and it's the same with Junior, I don't care if I'm in the background, but I want to watch her do her photo shoots, I wanna watch her do her signings, because that's what I did. "And my mom and you and Nan used to come along and support, and I'm proud of her. "And I just wanna be there with her because I now I feel that I've missed out on so much." Katie said she believes that she and Pete needs to come to hash things out to make life easier for their two kids - Princess and Junior, 20. "It's so not fair to bring princess piggy in the middle. So I think it's about time all of us adults just sit down and talk about what their beef is with me and just get over it," Katie said. Princess Andre snubs mum Katie Price from intimate dinner as she reveals her birthday party guestlist "Life would be more at peace because I don't have a problem. "I just think life would be a better place. "Well, I'm not saying we all have to be best buddies, best friends, but come on. "For the sake of the children, there's room for everyone to support your kids. "Do you know what I mean? I'm not saying I have to stand with them and play happy families." Katie's suggestion of a meet-up comes after the star admitted she's feeling left out of certain parts of her children's life. She continued: "Like, I've missed out so much with Princess. "I haven't watched the show, but, people have told me how proud I should be of the kids and how they Princess does talk highly of me all the way through it so although I'm not in the show she speaks about me all the time which is really sweet but why wouldn't she because she lives with me and this is another thing I need to clear up, the kids have never lived just with Pete, we've shared the kids. "I am a bloody good mum. People can even see that with Harvey. "Like, I am a good mum and it's so much easier, I have found out, when you have a child on your own without the other half involved because I've never had a problem with Harvey. "It's just been me, the family, and Harvey. And I hate it that when people split up, it always gets messy and the kids shouldn't be used." Katie concluded: "But I am absolutely proud of of Princess. Me and Princess are so, so close. "We've never ever ever had an argument till this day, and we still text and ring each other every day." It was previously reported that there was a big fall out after Katie wasn't allowed to go to Princess' 18th birthday party, hosted by her ex, and her daughter's dad, Peter. In part one of the fourth episode of The Princess Diaries, Princess was asked by her famous father who she wanted at her party - and it appeared to not include Katie. Princess turned 18 back in June, and at the time Katie claimed she wasn't invited because she had been banned from appearing in The Princess Diaries. Speaking on her The Katie Price Show podcast at the time, she said: "Everyone knows she's doing this documentary - and I'm not in it. "Certain people don't think it's good for Princess to be seen with me. Certain people that used to look after me." Her sister Sophie chipped in: "You aren't on brand Katie. You are too risky Katie that's why." Katie then said: "It's pathetic. I'm her mother. "I'm just saying, Princess was like 'I'm having a party'. And I wasn't invited because it was for 'filming.'" Sophie added: "Oh of course it was! I wonder what restaurant did that for free." Continuing the rant, Katie said: "The fact is there's stuff my daughter is doing and I'm not allowed to be seen at any of it." The Sun revealed how the documentary has caused a huge rift between Princess and her famous mum. Katie previously vented about those working with her daughter after The Sun revealed her secret heartache about being cut out of her TV show. She even vowed not to watch her daughter's reality show, after feeling left out of such an important thing in Princess' life. Earlier this week, Katie shared a cryptic message saying "your mum is not your enemy". Sharing a quote on her Instagram stories, Katie urged that as a mum she is "not trying to control" but instead "trying to protect" The quote also acknowledged how she "may not be perfect" but is "the only woman in this world" who wants the best for her children.
