‘Lightweight and glowy' £26 face SPF bundle now £10 in cheaper-than-Amazon deal

Daily Mirror08-07-2025
With another week of hot weather on the way, this money-saving duo of gorgeous skin-boosting face SPFs is just what you need – and it'll save you £16 if you're wuick
The Amazon Prime Day sale is in full swing, with thousands of incredible dales now live, but Amazon isn't the only place you can find a bargain buy this week. Boots is back with its weekly £10 Tuesday deals, and this is one summer essential you shouldn't miss.
For today only (Tuesday 8 July), Boots is selling this Garnier Vitamin C SPF Duo for £10 instead of its usual £23.38, or £25.98 if you were to buy the two products together – a saving of over £16.
This set gets you the Garnier Vitamin C Daily UV Fluid SPF50+ Glow, a gorgeous glow-boosting facial SPF for wearing under make-up or on its own, plus the new Garnier Vitamin C UV Mist, which is perfect for topping up your sun protection throughout the day without disturbing your make-up.
Although both products are reduced on Amazon too, if you were to buy them both from Amazon right now it would cost you £13.48, so Boots is definitely the best place to buy them today.
If you do happen to miss this Boots £10 Tuesday sale though (and popular products do sell out fast), Amazon is the next best place to buy them, currently reduced to £5.49 for the fluid and £7.89 for the mist.
Boots customers are loving this SPF duo, especially the glow-boosting lotion, praising how mice it makes the skin look:
"Fantastic sun protection with even light glowing coverage that has replaced my daily foundation," one review underneath the bundle reads.
"These two Garnier products are great. Promote clear bright skin and also offers high protection," another five-star review reads. "Highly recommended. Good value for money."
"Using these products for 2 years now, very good for black skin," a third person agreed.
Despite having thousands of five-star reviews on Amazon too, one shopper, however, found that it didn't sit well under their make-up: "Nice light fluid, decent protection but it pills terribly under make-up," their review reads. "I bought it because I wanted a light sunscreen to wear daily and that includes in work days etc when I'm wearing make-up and it's no use unless I'm keeping a totally bare face."
One SPF that we can't praise enough that looks incredible both under make-up and on its own is Ultra Violette Future Fluid SPF50+ Superlight Mineral Skinscreen, £38.
This Garnier glowy bundle also might not be for you if you have very greasy skin or prefer a matte finish. If that sounds like you, you might like Garnier's BHA + Niacinamide Daily SPF 50+ instead, which is currently on sale for £9.74, or Murad's new Superactive Moisturiser SPF 40: Mattifying Oil + Pore Control, £45.

Amazon shoppers rush to buy Flash Speedmop kit with 48% off – ‘leaves floors sparkling'

Cleaning products can be a hidden cost when running a household, so if you find a good deal it can really help save money. Right now, you can get the Flash Speedmop Floor Cleaner Starter Kit for almost half price, as it's reduced from £25 to £13. Flash Speedmop Floor Cleaner Starter Kit £13 (was £22) Hard floors like wood and laminate may be slightly easier to clean than carpet, but it can still take effort to tackle stuck-on food and dirt. If you favour specific brands for your cleaning products, and you're not heading to Amazon for deals on them, you could be paying more than you need to. A mop is a basic cleaning necessity but the Flash Speedmop is an easy to use, mess-free alternative. The starter pack comes with the mop itself, plus 8 wet cloths for spills and stubborn stains and 15 dry cloths for dust and dirt. All you have to do to set us is connect the poles, and attach a sheet to the mop head. The head swivels, so you can clean difficult areas, like beneath sofas and under furniture. A Flash Speedmop is more convenient than the traditional mop, needing no water or cleaning fluid, and offering easy disposal. The main difference is that you need to keep stocked up on the cloths, which is why the current deal is so handy. Buying from Amazon also means home delivery, so when you run out you won't have to rush to a supermarket. Over 7,000 shoppers have left reviews on the Speedmop, which has now become an Amazon bestseller. One shopper said: ''The Flash SpeedMop is incredibly easy to use and convenient, which makes it great for busy mums or anyone looking to speed up their cleaning.'' ''The spray mechanism is handy, and the pre-moistened pads really help cut down on the effort needed to get floors sparkling clean.'' ''Many users find it effective on both sticky messes and light dusting, especially in high-traffic areas.'' Another shopper added: ''Wow this is so good - easy to fit and to store, takes up virtually no room.'' ''It cleans up brilliantly and wow the dirt it picks up, also the lemon smell is really nice, and the floor dries really fast.'' best vacuum cleaners.

Grocery wars! Amazon expands food delivery to 1,000 cities in push to compete with Walmart

Amazon customers across 1,000 U.S. cities can now order same-day grocery delivery as the tech giant tries to take a bite out of Walmart 's online grocery business. The retailer offered same-day delivery in Phoenix, Orlando, and Kansas City for perishable foods and has now expanded its operation to include hundreds of other regions, the company announced Wednesday. Amazon plans to roll out the service to 2,300 cities by the end of 2025. 'Millions' of items, such as everyday household essentials or electronics, were already available to be delivered on the same day as they were ordered, the company said. For Amazon Prime members, same-day delivery is free for orders over $25 in most cities; there's a $2.99 fee if that minimum is not met. For customers without Prime, the service is available with a flat $12.99 fee. The focus on the quick delivery of groceries seems to be the company's latest attempt to compete with Walmart, which leads the e-commerce grocery market. Walmart can deliver to 93 percent of U.S. households on the same day, according to a Q4 earnings release. The store held the title of top online grocery retailer in terms of sales, eMarketer found in January. 'Consumers are doing more comprehensive grocery shopping at Walmart, whereas, with Amazon, shoppers tend to do more one-off purchases,' analyst Blake Droesch said in a statement at the time. Other players, including Uber, DoorDash and InstaCart, are popular in the food-delivery space. But nearly three quarters — 72 percent — of U.S. digital grocery sales will come directly from retailers, like Amazon or Walmart, according to eMarketer. Amazon CEO Andy Jassy told shareholders in April 2023 that he hoped the company would expand in the $800 billion grocery business market. 'Grocery is a big growth opportunity for Amazon,' he said. That mission has been fruitful. Last year, Amazon raked in more than $100 billion in gross sales of groceries and household essentials. That figure excludes Whole Foods and Amazon Fresh. More than 2 billion groceries and household essentials were delivered the same or next day in the U.S. in 2024, the company reported in June. Amazon, once known only as an online bookseller, jumped into the grocery business nearly two decades ago. The retail giant began offering groceries on its website in 2006. The following year, it launched Amazon Fresh, which initially delivered groceries via van to a Seattle suburb, The Guardian reported in 2007. By 2020, the tech giant opened physical stores in Chicago and Los Angeles, boasting innovative technology that allowed customers to walk out of the store with their goods and pay for them without having to stop at a cashier. There are now 63 Amazon Fresh stores across the country.

Cisco projects upbeat quarterly revenue as AI fuels networking equipment demand

Aug 13 (Reuters) - Cisco Systems (CSCO.O), opens new tab forecast first-quarter revenue above Wall Street estimates on Wednesday, as the artificial intelligence boom boosted demand for its networking equipment from cloud customers. Hyperscale cloud investments are healthy and driving IT infrastructure financing, which sets up a good backdrop for Cisco. "Within the enterprise spending environment, there is incremental spending to beef up the infrastructure to accommodate AI, so that could potentially be another growth driver, especially with Cisco having such a big presence in the traditional enterprise market," Edward Jones analyst David Heger said. Big tech firms such as Microsoft (MSFT.O), opens new tab, Amazon (AMZN.O), opens new tab and Alphabet (GOOGL.O), opens new tab are ramping up spending to ease capacity shortages that have limited their ability to meet AI demand, even after several quarters of multi-billion-dollar outlays. Cisco's AI infrastructure orders exceeded $800 million in the fourth quarter, bringing the total for fiscal 2025 to over $2 billion, more than double its original target, CEO Chuck Robbins said on a post-earnings call. The company has not seen any pull-forward in demand for products, but did note a small impact from tariffs in the quarter and during the fiscal year, he added. "We expect the sovereign AI opportunity to build momentum in the second half of fiscal 2026. Cisco will be a core system provider for these significant AI training and inference cluster build outs and integral to their development and eventual hyperscaling." Cisco has partnered with Humain, Saudi Arabia's state-backed AI company, and it will provide digital solutions for Bahrain's government information and telecommunications infrastructure. The company expects revenue to be between $14.65 billion and $14.85 billion for the first quarter, compared with analysts' average estimate of $14.62 billion, according to data compiled by LSEG. Its revenue for the fourth quarter ended July 26 came in at $14.67 billion, compared with estimates of $14.62 billion. Networking product orders grew in the double digits during the quarter, driven by webscale infrastructure, switching, enterprise routing, industrial IoT and servers.
