I tested three sunscreens designed to sit over make-up — budget option was my favourite

Scroll down for a perfect high street mascara that doesn't look heavy or clumpy SUN-SATIONAL I tested three sunscreens designed to sit over make-up — budget option was my favourite A NEW breed of sun protection designed to sit over make-up has hit shelves, meaning topping up your SPF thoughout the day is easy. But be warned – you still need to apply a proper sunscreen underneath, as they won't give you enough protection alone. 4 We test three sun protections designed to sit over make-up BUDGET Garnier Vitamin C UV Mist £12.99 for 75ml 4 Garnier Vitamin C UV Mist is so lightweight you won't notice it at all The first time I used this mist I thought it was broken, given that my eyes were closed and I didn't feel a single thing hitting my face. So to double check, I applied it to my arm – keeping my eyes open – and it turns out, it's just so lightweight you won't notice it at all. In fact it's so good that we've just crowned it the winner of Best Face Sunscreen in this year's Fabulous Beauty Awards. READ MORE ON SUNSCREEN SPF BFF I've tried hundreds of budget sunscreens as a beauty editor - here's the very best It doesn't make my eyes sting, cause breakouts or ruin my make-up. All in all, it's exactly what I want from an SPF. MID-RANGE Naked Sundays SPF50+ Hydrating Glow Mist, £18 for 50ml, 4 Naked Sundays SPF50+ Hydrating Glow Mist doesn't feel wet or sticky on Full transparency, I didn't think I'd like this, given the name. I usually run from anything labelled glowy as I have extremely oily skin, so I prefer products that help reduce shine rather than add to it. As expected, it does leave skin incredibly glowy – yet like magic, it doesn't feel wet or sticky on. In fact, it dries surprisingly fast, almost like a setting spray. I love that it's a non-aerosol mist, as they are easier to pack and better for the planet. But I do find it means the spray can be inconsistent and sometimes feel a little too wet, so make sure you shake it well before using. LUXURY Supergoop! (Re)setting Powder SPF 30, £29 for 4.25g, 4 Supergoop! (Re)setting Powder SPF 30 acts almost like a dry shampoo I first tried this product a couple of years ago in the US, but now it's available at Boots so I've finally been able to restock! I love how versatile the powder is. You can use it over your face in the same way you would a setting powder, and it also works on the scalp, acting almost like a dry shampoo to absorb moisture while helping prevent sunburn. But reapplying it multiple times becomes tricky, as it can end up looking cakey, so I find it works best in tandem with a face mist (SPF or otherwise) to add some moisture back into skin. But if you're worried about shine, it's a no-brainer.

‘Lightweight and glowy' £26 face SPF bundle now £10 in cheaper-than-Amazon deal

With another week of hot weather on the way, this money-saving duo of gorgeous skin-boosting face SPFs is just what you need – and it'll save you £16 if you're wuick The Amazon Prime Day sale is in full swing, with thousands of incredible dales now live, but Amazon isn't the only place you can find a bargain buy this week. Boots is back with its weekly £10 Tuesday deals, and this is one summer essential you shouldn't miss. For today only (Tuesday 8 July), Boots is selling this Garnier Vitamin C SPF Duo for £10 instead of its usual £23.38, or £25.98 if you were to buy the two products together – a saving of over £16. This set gets you the Garnier Vitamin C Daily UV Fluid SPF50+ Glow, a gorgeous glow-boosting facial SPF for wearing under make-up or on its own, plus the new Garnier Vitamin C UV Mist, which is perfect for topping up your sun protection throughout the day without disturbing your make-up. Although both products are reduced on Amazon too, if you were to buy them both from Amazon right now it would cost you £13.48, so Boots is definitely the best place to buy them today. If you do happen to miss this Boots £10 Tuesday sale though (and popular products do sell out fast), Amazon is the next best place to buy them, currently reduced to £5.49 for the fluid and £7.89 for the mist. Boots customers are loving this SPF duo, especially the glow-boosting lotion, praising how mice it makes the skin look: "Fantastic sun protection with even light glowing coverage that has replaced my daily foundation," one review underneath the bundle reads. "These two Garnier products are great. Promote clear bright skin and also offers high protection," another five-star review reads. "Highly recommended. Good value for money." "Using these products for 2 years now, very good for black skin," a third person agreed. Despite having thousands of five-star reviews on Amazon too, one shopper, however, found that it didn't sit well under their make-up: "Nice light fluid, decent protection but it pills terribly under make-up," their review reads. "I bought it because I wanted a light sunscreen to wear daily and that includes in work days etc when I'm wearing make-up and it's no use unless I'm keeping a totally bare face." One SPF that we can't praise enough that looks incredible both under make-up and on its own is Ultra Violette Future Fluid SPF50+ Superlight Mineral Skinscreen, £38. This Garnier glowy bundle also might not be for you if you have very greasy skin or prefer a matte finish. If that sounds like you, you might like Garnier's BHA + Niacinamide Daily SPF 50+ instead, which is currently on sale for £9.74, or Murad's new Superactive Moisturiser SPF 40: Mattifying Oil + Pore Control, £45.
