TLCA teachers receive $155,000 in incentives
SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — May 7 was a big day for educators across the TLCA network of schools especially for the ones from San Angelo and Adeliene.
14 TLCA Teachers were honored with checks totaling up to $155,000 during a special luncheon on May 7. It is part of the teacher incentive allotment created in 2019 through House Bill 3 to reward top performing educators, help keep great teachers in the classroom and to attract new ones.
'It's a significant check it can be anywhere from $3,200 to $32,000,' said Dan Dukes the Chief Academic Officer for Texas Leadership Public Schools.
The checks very depending on things like the grade level they are teaching and where they are teaching.
