PUMA and Old School revive Bulls legacy with vintage jersey drop
'The past seasons have seen a resurgence in traditional style rugby jerseys, so it made sense for PUMA and the Vodacom Bulls to work with Old School and craft something vintage which talks to all three brands' said Brett Bellinger, Marketing Director, PUMA South Africa.
'The result is the release of two premium, vintage-style jerseys. One featuring the original Barberton Daisy badge on the left breast, a true Old School classic. The second sports the current Bulls and Daisy lockup badge worn by the Vodacom Bulls team during matches in the URC season and any other competitions they compete in, a modern Old School classic.' THE STORY BEHIND THE JERSEY
The campaign video to support the launch of the jerseys, has a cinematic aesthetic. It features current players, team legends and fans with a strong focus on character and storytelling, where the team's proud history lingers in every detail.
Edgar Rathbone, CEO of the Blue Bulls Company, said: 'This partnership isn't just a nod to our roots; it's a statement of intent. Together with PUMA and Old School, we've created something that honours where we've come from while charging forward with style and pride. It's authentic, it's powerful, and it's unmistakably Vodacom Bulls. We're proud to stand behind a campaign that connects generations and strengthens the bond with our fans.'
'For us, it's always been about creating something people feel part of. Teaming up with the Blue Bulls and PUMA gave us the chance to do just that, to create something that brings generations together,' said co- founder of Old School, Stephan Steinmann. 'This collaboration isn't just about a jersey; it's about the pride, the memories, and the moments that make supporting the Bulls feel like home.'
In addition to the two different badge options this cotton rugby jersey features: White twill collar for durability and contrast.
Placket with hidden buttons.
Long sleeves with ribbed cuffs.
Embroidered PUMA logo and Old School backneck tape and side label.
The fit is intended for comfort with structure, ideal to layer over a tee or to sit comfortably on its own.
In-store from 1 August 2025, the PUMA X Old School Vodacom Bulls rugby jersey will be available from PUMA.com and Old School stores and online. Recommended retail price of R1599.

Why Orlando Pirates strikers were missing on Saturday
The future of Orlando Pirates strikers Evidence Makgopa and Tshegofatso Mabasa became a hot topic following their surprising absence in the team's recent MTN8 quarterfinal clash against Polokwane City. The duo, who have shared the number nine role under former coach Jose Riveiro, were both missing from the matchday squad, raising eyebrows among supporters and analysts alike. In their place, head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou opted to start with young forward Boitumelo Radiopane, while Orlando Pirates' new striker signing Yanela Mbuthuma (23) debuted from the bench. Tshegofatso Mabasa and Evidence Makgopa, who scored 15 and 10 goals last season, did not make the matchday squad. Date, time to watch Dricus du Plessis' title defence
Dricus du Plessis is all set to once again put his title on the line when he heads in the what will be his third fight in defence of his UFC middleweight belt next weekend. Du Plessis will front up against highly-regarded Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 319 on 16 August in Chicago, USA, but there are some very important points to note for those wanting to watch this fight in South Africa. Due to the time difference, the main card is scheduled to start from 04:00 (SA time) next Sunday morning. That exact time of the main event will also be determined by the length of the preliminary fights prior to the Du Plessis-Chimaev bout. However, it would be a safe bet to set those alarm clocks and wake up early enough to ensure you don't miss this highly-anticipated fight. Dricus du Plessis is on the hunt for another piece of history Although there have been plenty of rumours around whether Du Plessis and Chimaev would end up going head to head, the South African star has always maintained that this is the fight he was happy to prioritise in what would be an incredible third successive title defence. After first famously claiming the middleweight belt against Sean Strickland, Du Plessis then backed that up with an emphatic victory over Israel Adesanya. The 31-year-old then once again overcame Strickland in the 'rematch' in February, and he now heads towards his third title defence against the unbeaten Chimaev, who has eight wins inside the octagon, six by stoppage. Du Plessis (23-2) has in fact not lost since October 2018, and will attempt to knock Chimaev from the ranks of the unbeaten. Chimaev (14-0) is coming off a first-round submission of Whittaker in October and has also taken down the likes of Gilbert Burns and Kamaru Usman.
