‘Desperate' reason Harry wants Meghan to share private pics

Perth Now18-06-2025
In the past they've ferociously protected their children's privacy by keeping them out of the public eye, but there's been a sudden and significant change in Prince Harry and Meghan's approach recently and one insider says they know why.
The Duchess of Sussex has ramped up Lilibet, 4, and big brother Archie's, 6, appearances on her Instagram page, freely posting happy family snaps on social media.
And while cynical observers note that it coincides with her pushing her business interests in her As Ever brand in the same forum, an insider has offered another, sadder motive.
'Harry is completely heartbroken,' an insider close to the family has told Daily Mail.
'His dad refuses to see him or the kids — not even on Zoom... It's a last resort.
'He's desperately hoping the King might see a picture of Archie or Lilibet and realise what he's missing.
'He's tried everything - calls, letters... But nothing's worked. This is his way of saying, 'Look at what you're missing'.' Meghan Markle posts a sweet Father's Day video tribute to Prince Harry. Credit: Meghan Markle / Instagram
Meghan has used a number of recent milestones to share intimate, previously unseen photos and videos of the Montecito-based royals' family life.
To celebrate Lilibet's birthday, Meghan posted several family cherished shots, including a throwback video of herself twerking to the song Baby Momma in a bid to bring on labour while pregnant with the princess, while another post featured a black and white snap of her cuddling Lili. In one clip for Father's Day, Harry was seen dancing joyfully in the kitchen with toddler Archie, while another captured him sharing laughs during story time with his son.
And in another particularly tender moment, both children were seen showering their dad with kisses while playing on a backyard swing.
During a recent appearance on Emma Gredge's Aspire podcast, Meghan explained her motivation for sharing more with her followers.
'Did you see my 'Baby Momma' dance? That was four years ago... I'm just grateful that now, being back on social... I can share it on my own terms.'
Prince Harry remains publicly estranged from senior members of the royal family including King Charles and Prince William but has expressed a desire to reconcile.
In a May interview he told the BBC, 'There have been so many disagreements between me and some of my family… Of course, they will never forgive me for lots of things but… there's no point in continuing to fight anymore.'
'Life is precious. I don't know how much longer my father has,' he added. 'He won't speak to me because of this security stuff. It would be nice to reconcile.'

Darius Campbell Danesh' ex-wife remembers him on third anniversary of death

Darius Campbell Danesh' ex-wife, Natasha Henstridge, has paid tribute to the late singer on the third anniversary of his death. The former Pop Idol contestant passed away at the age of 41 in August 2022 after inhaling chloroethane - also known as ethyl chloride - at his Minnesota apartment. Three years on from the tragedy, the 50-year-old Canadian actress - who filed for divorce from the Colourblind hitmaker in 2013, after just over two years of marriage - has admitted she still misses him dearly. Alongside a series of pictures of Darius, including one of the couple posing in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, she penned on Instagram on August 11: "Love and light always. Miss you today…. Sending love to the Danesh's and everyone whose life he touched." According to his girlfriend, Darius had been "living with a broken neck" and an undiagnosed heart condition when he died. Lauren Cheek explained that an autopsy revealed that his heart was "twice the size" it should have been and that she believes he used the recreational anaesthetic to alleviate the pain. She told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Darius was living with this heart condition that he didn't know he had. So many things could have taken him, but this one thing did, and he died in his sleep. "His mum told me they only found out after they did the autopsy. His heart was twice the size it was supposed to be, which was fitting, because that is genuinely how he was — he had so much love. "The autopsy also found he was living with a broken neck, but he refused to get help or complain about it. I think he used (chloroethane) because he was in so much pain and he didn't want to take pills, not even aspirin. That's what killed him — the substance mixed with his heart and he couldn't take it." Lauren went on to add that Darius - who shot to fame when he gave a memorable rendition of Britney Spears' hit '...Baby One More Time' on the ITV talent show Popstars before releasing a string of hit singles and eventually going on to star in the West End - had sustained his injuries whilst racing with Hollywood actor Gerard Butler and always "refused" when she urged him to see a doctor. She added: "He was with Gerry (Butler) in Monaco for the Grand Prix and they slammed into a wall during a race with the Prince of Monaco. I don't think it ever fully healed and then he rebroke it because he got hit by a car in London a year or two before he died when he was riding a bike. "And then he got into a car accident with his dad in Scotland. D was in the passenger seat, his dad was driving and someone drove into them. "He was always in pain and I would beg him to see the doctor, but he refused. He was trying to find a natural remedy.'

Bindi Irwin gives emotional health update after endometriosis surgery

Bindi Irwin has had her appendix and '51 endometriosis lesions' removed. The 27-year-old Australian star — the daughter of late Crocodile Hunter legend Steve Irwin — has given an update amid her long battle with endometriosis following her diagnosis in 2023, which came after a decade of chronic pain. She wrote on Instagram this week alongside a smiling selfie: '13 years of fighting for answers. '51 endometriosis lesions, a chocolate cyst, and my appendix were all removed across two surgeries with @seckinmd. 'My hernia from giving birth that was unzipping — was taken care of. 'I can FINALLY say that I'm feeling better. Genuinely healing.' Endometriosis is a disease where abnormal tissue grows outside the uterus. Irwin underwent emergency surgery in May, which meant she missed a gala honouring her father, who died in 2006. Now, she added that after her health struggles — which she's been very candid about with fans — she's finally able to 'function' again. 'I cannot express the gravity of my emotions as I am beginning to recognise myself again. 'I felt utterly ashamed as a teenager and young adult being told that my pain was just part of being a woman. 'I felt lesser. I felt hurt. I felt weak. That is not OK.' The conservationist and activist — who has daughter Grace Warrior, four, with husband Chandler Powell — is keen to get rid of the 'stigma' around conversations about women's health and health care. Bindi missed her late dad's annual gala in May after rupturing her appendix, and her brother Robert explained her absence at the time. He told People magazine: 'She's going to be OK, but surgery — out of all the things we were ready for, that was not one of them. She's just come out the other side of endometriosis and now the appendix goes. Health is so important — it really is.'
