Appearing on Strictly Come Dancing doesn't alway mean that celebrities will be catapulted to extraordinary fame after taking to the glitzy dance floor.
However, the same can't be said for last year's runner-up JB Gill, who is going from strength-to-strength where his career is concerned, with the former JLS singer confirming another TV gig, this time with Channel 5.
The much-loved star who recently dazzled fans with his incredible moves is being snapped up for all sorts it would seem, with JB turning his hand to farming and presenting, a stark contrast from his JLS touring days.
Now, he's switching things up once more, fronting his own Channel 5 one-off documentary on a topic that may surprise some viewers.
JB has been confirmed as the host for Britain's Favourite Service Station, in which he will explore the most enduring roadside havens up and down the country, with some considered to somewhat of a national institution.

A source told The Sun: "Taking the mickey aside, this is a show that will likely pull in quite impressive viewing figures. After all, service stations are a bit of a guilty pleasure for most of us.
"Though it is still a bit of a surprise to see someone has come up with the idea of dedicating an entire show to examining them. Even more surprising is the fact they've roped in a former pop star as the host, but execs seem to think it will work."

JB, who appears to be a hot favourite at the moment when it comes to television took part in Strictly last December, coming in second place with pro-dancer Lauren Oakley during the 22nd series.
Despite being a runner-up, JB's competition wasn't without difficulty after his first professional partner Amy Dowden had to bow out early, handing over the reigns to Lauren, after suffering health complications.

JB and Amy had been just six weeks into the competition when she needed to exit early on doctors grounds after collapsing backstage and suffering illness.
Since then, he's been focusing on his TV career with a number of hosting slots on BBC's The One Show.
In the new hour long documentary, JB will be at the hosting helm alone, journeying the UK motorways in hope of establishing the best road pit-stop for fans.
The show is in partnership with a legitimate survey by consumer advocates Which? as JB attempts to identifying Britain's best and worst service stations with a bottom to top ranking system.
Channel 5 is yet to confirm further details for Britain's Favourite Service Station which will be landing in the weeks ahead.

The One Show host Alex Jones paid tribute to a friend at the start of Thursday's show The One Show host Alex Jones has delivered a heartfelt homage to a "friend" one year after their tragic death. At the start of the episode, Alex shared a touching tribute to Dr Michael Mosley, who died at the age of 67 after going missing while on holiday on the Greek island of Symi last June. "It's been a year since our friend Dr Michael Mosley sadly died. He had a long history with this show and one of his sons, who's also a doctor, shared with us how he hopes to continue his father's legacy," she remarked, reports the Express. A special segment was then aired, with Michael's son, Dr Jack Mosley, explaining how he planned to follow in his father's footsteps. "My dad was so passionate about healthy living, and his infectious enthusiasm was part of what made him so popular," Jack reflected. Discussing the aftermath of his father's death, Jack continued: "It was such a sudden thing when dad did pass away. It has been difficult for my siblings and I, my mum. The only positive I can think to come out of it is it has brought us closer together as a family, and that's something that he would have liked to see." Michael's spouse Clare, also a medic by profession, conveyed how the outpouring of public sympathy has provided her immense solace during this hard time. She then took cameras into the cupboard where Michael used to record his podcast, Just One Thing, and revealed that she "can't quite bring herself" to take down the podcast's poster. Now, Jack has written a book on weight loss medication and food nutrition, called Food Noise. He has worked closely with his mum, who has created over 50 healthy recipes for the book. Jack concluded: "To continue on some of these really important messages about healthy eating and lifestyle changes is something that was very important to my dad. I do want to continue that mission." Back in the BBC studio, Alex reflected: "It's hard to believe it's been a year... Our thoughts, of course, are with the whole family at this time." Beyond his podcast, Michael gained recognition for his roles in several health-focused TV programmes, including Trust Me, I'm A Doctor, The Truth about Exercise, and Lose a Stone in 21 Days.

The presenter and performer presented the 2023 edition of the biggest soap awards in the UK, taking over from Phillip Schofield. While the ceremony did not take place last year, it has returned for this year and will be aired on ITV on Thursday evening, June 5. Fans may recognise Jane McDonald from co-hosting ITV's Loose Women as well as her very own Channel 5 travel show, Cruising with Jane McDonald, which has won awards itself. But away from the spotlight, Jane has been through her fair share of challenges and heartache, having candidly spoken about her "failures and mistakes" in her recently published autobiography, Let the Light In. In the book, the 62-year-old singer and TV personality also reflected on the painful loss of her fiancé, Eddie Rothe, to lung cancer in 2021. As reported by OK!, the performer detailed a particularly tough period for Jane came in 2002, at a time when she was enjoying the height of her early fame and living in Florida with her second husband and manager Henrik Brixen. Despite previous years of sell-out performances, including shows in Las Vegas, and the anticipation of a new album and a BBC documentary, Jane found herself penniless. Article continues below This financial crisis led to the end of their five-year marriage and saw Jane returning to Wakefield at the age of 40 to start over, moving back in with her mother. She reflected: "I've had a few sticky moments and I've taken a lot of risks in my life, but I don't do fear any more". She then added: "I've been there, I've seen it, I've done it. I've got the T-shirt, I've washed it, I've dried it and then I've got another. "[Back then] I thought, 'I've had a chance at this [career] and it's gone, but I'll get it back.'". Jane faced her fair share of challenges but remained unaffected, reviving her presenting role on Loose Women from 2004 and rekindled her love for music. By 2010 she was gracing the stage of the London Palladium once more, and the following year she was topping the bill on her own tour. Yet, the end of 2018 brought the devastating news of her mother Jean's death, closely followed by the "sudden and shocking" loss of Eddie, marking a time of sorrow. Jane spoke of this tough phase in her life, acknowledging: "The two guiding lights in my life were Ed and my mother and I suppose losing both of them so quickly together was the hardest thing I've ever been through. "But I've joined a club of so many people who were in my position. I say to anybody now, 'Don't wallow for too long.'". "[Grief] takes a while and it will creep up on you when you least expect it, but if you can chase joy as much as you can, it's allowed. You don't have to feel guilt if you're laughing. Because we do. "We think, 'I can't possibly feel happy because I've lost them,' but we have to live the life that they wanted for us. Otherwise, what was the point?". "So I've taken every bit of wisdom from my mother - and she had lots of it - and all the love and all that fantastic relationship I had with Ed and I celebrate it now, I take them with me. "It's a way of accepting that you cannot change what's happened, but taking all that with you and moving forward. "Not moving on, because that means you're leaving them behind, but moving forward with them in your heart." After experiencing numerous highs and lows, including seeking help from a PTSD specialist due to difficulties in facing daily life, Jane did not find solace in writing about her past errors and recent sorrows. She confessed: "I didn't find it cathartic at all. I thought it was awful. I hated every minute of it because I'm not good at going back. I'm really not good at going back. But I suppose what is good is that I can say I did fail massively at this, but this is what I did to get out of it. "My world fell apart so many times, but this is what I did instead. I really hope it's going to help others, especially those coming into the industry." Jane recognised that grief had deeply changed her, but it also provided her with a new perspective on life. "It changes who you are," she mused. "It changes your life. It changes your plans. It robs you of every future you planned. But now I've got a different future and I intend to make it the best I possibly can. "I'm at that pace now where I'm 110 miles an hour, but I intend to slow down because life's gone like that [clicks her fingers]. You know, it's a big shock, losing Ed as quickly as I did, and it made me think, 'How many summers have I got left?'. Article continues below "I want a house by the sea, I want to sit on a deck and watch the waves, or go for a walk on a beach, or sit with a scarf around me and drink a cup of tea. I want all of that.
