Around 50 lakh devotees from across the country and abroad visit Deoghar during Shravan month. A significant number of devotees also visit the Basukinath temple in Dumka district, which is famous for being the home of yet another renowned temple of Lord Shiva.
The minister directed the authorities to complete the entire arrangements by July 5 and emphasised the need for introducing AI-based technologies for better arrangements, ensuring a smooth and convenient passage for devotees and their security.

Issues like the safety and security of pilgrims in and around the temple and other important locations, including the Shivganga (the holy pond), were discussed at length.
"Out of 900 CCTVs, 200 will be AI enabled in Deoghar for the real-time assessment of any untoward incident and ensure a quick response to thwart the same," said an official.
Apart from this, AI-based integrated control rooms, chat board information feedback and helpline, traffic management systems, drones, large TV screens, head counting, and face recognition cameras will help organisers enhance the security and management of the event.
A QR-based complaint system, location-based attendance system for the administrative stakeholders, and digital pavilion will feature at Deoghar and Basukinath during the period.
The minister, who also inspected the kanwariya route from the Dumma interstate border, queue complex, and other locations on foot, reviewed the arrangements pertaining to traffic, sanitation, drinking water, electricity, lavatories, and staying facilities for the devotees. He directed the authorities to ensure that they return to their homes with a pleasant experience of the pilgrimage.

Air India says in process of completing one-time Boeing 787 safety checks
New Delhi: Air India on Saturday said it is in the process of completing the one-time safety inspections, as mandated by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), for its Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet. This move comes in the wake of the tragic crash of a London-bound Air India flight (AI 171) from Ahmedabad. In a statement shared on social media platform X, Air India said that nine of its Boeing 787 aircraft have already undergone the required safety checks. 'Air India is in the process of completing the one-time safety checks directed by the Indian aviation regulator, DGCA. These checks are being carried out on the Boeing 787 fleet as they return to India, before being cleared for their next operations,' the airline said. 'Air India has completed such checks on nine of the Boeing 787 aircraft and are on track to complete this process for the remaining 24 aircraft within the timeline provided by the regulator,' it added. The airline added that it is on track to complete inspections for the remaining aircraft within the timeline specified by the regulator. These checks are being conducted as the aircraft return to India and must be completed before the planes are cleared for their next flights. However, the airline also emphasised that the additional checks may lead to longer turnaround times and could cause delays, especially on long-haul international routes that operate under strict airport curfews. Passengers are being advised to check their flight status before leaving for the airport. The airline is offering refunds or complimentary rescheduling to customers affected by delays or cancellations caused by these safety inspections. The DGCA had ordered enhanced inspections on Air India's entire fleet of Boeing 787-8 and 787-9 aircraft equipped with Genx engines following Thursday's deadly crash in Ahmedabad. The directive includes a range of preventive maintenance measures such as inspections of fuel systems, cabin air compressors, hydraulic systems, and flight control systems, along with engine-related tests. The checks must begin with effect from June 15 and compliance reports are to be submitted to the DGCA. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing. Meanwhile, as part of its commitment to support the victims' families, Tata Sons has reiterated that it will provide Rs 1 crore in compensation to the families of each individual who lost their life in the crash -- including passengers, crew members, and those on the ground. A Tata Sons spokesperson added that the group will also cover the full medical expenses of all those injured in the incident, ensuring necessary care and long-term support.

Air India CEO Campbell Wilson issues third statement in 48 hours after plane crash: ‘Our teams working closely…'
Air India Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director Campbell Wilson on Saturday released his third statement after the tragic plane crash in Ahmedabad on June 12, and said that their teams are working closely with the families and authorities to help the reunification process. In a video statement, Campbell announced that Air India will make an interim payment of ₹ 25 lakh to each of the deceased's families and to the survivor, in addition to ₹ 1 crore already announced by Tata Sons. He further stated that over 200 trained caregivers are in Ahmedabad, and each family has been assigned dedicated assistance. The Air India CEO also mentioned that the airliner is in the process of completing a precautionary safety check of Boeing 787 aircraft, as directed by the DGCA. He assured Air India would complete all checks within the timelines prescribed by the DGCA. Yesterday I shared that Air India's technical and customer support team had assembled in Ahmedabad. Over 200 trained caregivers are now in place, with each family assigned dedicated assistance, along with access to counselling and other services. We will continue to help and support the families however, we can. I also updated on my visit to Ahmedabad, where I visited the crash site and met with some of the families of the deceased. This followed a visit, a day earlier, by Tata Sons and Air India Chairman, Mr. N. Chandrasekaran and other members of the Air India management team are now in the city and will remain present for as long as it takes. To provide immediate financial support, Air India will be making an interim payment of 25 lakh rupees, or approximately 21,000 GBP to each of the families of the deceased and also to the survivor. This is in addition to the 1 crore rupees, or approximately 85,000 GBP already committed by Tata Sons. The process of reuniting next of kin with their loved ones and personal effects has begun. Our teams are working closely with the families and authorities to help the reunification process, and where appropriate, with repatriation. This is an emotional process and we ask that families be given space. Air India is also in the process of completing precautionary safety checks on Boeing 787 aircraft, as directed by our regulator, the DGCA. We will complete all checks within the timelines prescribed by the regulator. As has been confirmed by the authorities, the aircraft's data recorder has been recovered, which will form part of the official investigation, and Air India continues to fully cooperate with these investigations. At this juncture, I also wish to acknowledge the work done by first responders and those from many organisations since the accident, and also to our crew, who continue to operate with professionalism and with safety always as their primary responsibility.

The week ahead for Leos is a journey from introspection and caution to renewed optimism and opportunity. Avoid unnecessary conflicts, particularly with rivals or in business dealings, and be cautious with whom you trust. If you're engaged in competitive exams or challenges, your hard work pays off, but refrain from arguments and overexertion. Midweek brings emotional relief, particularly in personal relationships. The support of a spouse, friend, or business partner offers comfort, and there's an opening for new partnerships or offers, especially for business people. Take care with financial decisions, as this isn't the best time for speculation. Toward the end of the week, restlessness or sadness may arise again, accompanied by minor physical discomforts. Differences with loved ones could resurface, but these are transient. By the weekend, the stars deliver more joy and recognition, especially through children's successes, social accolades, or community involvement. Avoid sharing too much with outsiders; confide instead in those you truly trust. As the week progresses, romance is rekindled. The support and affection from your spouse or partner helps heal any recent rifts, and single Leos could find promising connections through mutual friends or business networks. Midweek, be alert for sudden disagreements—tensions may flare due to misunderstandings or differing opinions. Handle arguments gently; give your partner space and focus on common goals. The weekend promises a renewed sense of togetherness. Shared achievements, celebrations, or support from children bring happiness. For unmarried Leos, the stars favor social engagements or even surprise proposals. Make time for laughter and relaxation together; it's the antidote to any earlier stress. Education and Career: The start of the week sees Leos working diligently, sometimes under pressure. Competitive exams or business negotiations may require extra focus, but persistence will yield results. If in service, don't share your plans too soon—rivalry at work could temporarily impede progress. Midweek brings improvement, with help from partners or mentors opening new opportunities. Business people may receive proposals for collaboration, while those in the arts or creative professions find their confidence rising. The end of the week requires caution—avoid speculative risks and double-check your work to prevent errors. However, by the weekend, accolades or recognition are likely, especially from your children or through social platforms. Players and students could win awards, and professionals may receive praise from superiors. Continue to learn from setbacks, as these will shape your future success. Money and Finance: Leos need to tread carefully with money this week. At first, avoid borrowing or lending, and be mindful of hidden expenses. As you navigate the middle of the week, partnership or joint investments could be fruitful, but don't be hasty—careful research is key. The desire to splurge may arise as stress relief, but it's wise to save for larger, planned goals. Financial prospects improve by the weekend. Gains may come through your children, creative efforts, or successful ventures. Consider saving or investing in education, property, or long-term goals. The key message is prudence and planning: avoid risky speculation, focus on consolidating resources, and be open to financial advice from trusted friends or family members. Health and Well-being: Your well-being requires attention throughout the week. Early days may be marked by fatigue, stress, or minor illnesses—don't ignore warning signs or try to power through. Establish a healthy routine, eat nourishing foods, and avoid arguments that drain your energy. By midweek, your mood lifts as you connect with supportive people; this is the time for gentle exercise and self-care rituals. Physical discomforts may recur around Thursday or Friday—leg pain or headaches are possible if you push yourself too hard. Listen to your body, rest when needed, and avoid over-scheduling. The weekend brings recovery, renewed vitality, and emotional satisfaction. Celebrations, time with children, or spiritual activities boost your morale, leaving you ready to embrace new challenges next week.
