Actor couple Suriya and Jyotika are proud parents as their daughter Diya graduates high school. Jyotika posted numerous pictures from the graduation ceremony, writing about how proud the family is of Diya for completing this milestone. (Also Read: Thudarum director Tharun Moorthy reveals why Jyotika turned down Mohanlal's film: 'She was excited but…')
One picture Jyotika posted is of her and Diya, with the latter dressed in a blue graduation gown and hat. Posting it, she wrote, 'Tassle worth the hassle! Proud of you girl!' Another picture shows Suriya also joining them for a picture, smiling widely, clearly proud of their daughter. Jyotika also posted numerous pictures of Diya with the 'proud grandparents' Sivakumar, Lakshmi, Chander Sadanah and Seema. She also took the moment to thank her daughter's teachers for guiding her well.
A fan claimed that Jyotika posted another picture with Suriya and deleted it, writing on X (formerly Twitter), 'GUYS! Jyotika posted both these stories from her daughter's graduation but Suriya has different looks, in what seems to be pictures from the same day. She deleted the second one immediately. What is HAPPENING!!!' They also speculated, 'Did she reveal some Singham 4 look by mistake or sumn…'
After the disappointing Kanguva in 2024, Suriya starred in Retro this year, which received mixed reviews. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the film received polarising reactions from people, but the actor's performance was praised. He has said yes to films helmed by RJ Balaji and Venky Atluri.
Jyotika worked in the critically acclaimed Kaathal – The Core, in Malayalam, in 2023. After making a comeback to Hindi cinema with Shaitaan and Srikanth in 2024, Jyotika starred in the Netflix web series Dabba Cartel this year. She is currently working on a film directed by Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari for Prime Video.

Aamir Khan CONFIRMS Sitaare Zameen Par Will Only Release In Theatres, Not On OTT
Last Updated: Aamir Khan confirms Sitaare Zameen Par will release only in theatres on June 20, 2025, denying reports of a YouTube or OTT release. Aamir Khan is gearing up for what may be one of the most significant films of his career — Sitaare Zameen Par, a spiritual successor to his beloved 2007 film Taare Zameen Par. The film, inspired by the Spanish hit Champions (2018), is set to release on June 20, 2025, and fans have been eagerly awaiting details about where they can watch it. Speculation recently spread that the film might skip traditional OTT platforms altogether and be released exclusively on YouTube via a pay-per-view model — a move that surprised many in the industry. However, Aamir Khan has now put those rumors to rest. In a candid chat with Raj Shamani on his podcast, Aamir addressed the swirling reports and clarified his stance on the release model. 'Maine bohot saari theories padhi hain, alag-alag proposals aaye hain film ko release karne ke liye, par main sabko side mein rakh raha hoon, aur main sirf ek cheez pe dhyan de raha hoon — theatrical," he said, doubling down on his belief in the cinema-going experience. Aamir didn't just clarify the release date — he also made it very clear that Sitaare Zameen Par will have no OTT release at all. Not on Netflix, not on Amazon Prime Video, and not even on Disney+ Hotstar. 'Sitaare Zameen Par jo aayegi, sirf theatre mein aayegi," he confirmed. He went on to express his concern for how the theatrical industry has suffered due to the increasingly shorter window between theatrical and digital releases. 'Ek time tha jab OTT 6 mahine baad aata tha, ab woh kuch hafte baad aa raha hai — mujhe woh suit nahi hota," Aamir explained, suggesting that this shift has diluted the importance and impact of a theatrical run. Aamir emphasized that while he has no issue with streaming platforms, they simply don't align with his vision for this particular film. 'Mujhe OTT se koi takleef nahi hai — agar main koi content OTT ke liye banaunga, toh direct OTT pe leke aaunga," he stated clearly. He added that he had received multiple offers from different platforms but had 'respectfully declined" all of them. For Aamir, this isn't just about one film. It's about preserving an entire culture of watching cinema together. 'Theatre ka agar business khatam hoga, phir aage socha jaayega kya karna hai," he concluded, highlighting that for now, his focus is entirely on bringing people back to theatres.
