Lupin The IIIrd the movie: The Immortal Bloodline is the latest addition to Takeshi Koike's Lupin the IIIrd Universe, about the grandson of gentleman thief Arsène Lupin, and the first 2D Lupin feature in the franchise since Dead or Alive in 1996.

POM Anime is planning a Q4 release for the film in multiple territories, including Benelux, Poland, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Kosovo, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania. The acquisition follows POM's successful 2024 partnership with rightsholder TMS Entertainment on the release of Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro across Europe.
DAN DA DAN: Evil Eye is the second cinematic series inspired by the hit manga by Yukinobu Tatsu, after DAN DA DAN: First Encounter which enjoyed success in cinemas in 2024.
Continuing its partnership with rights-holder ADN, POM Anime will theatrically release the sequel on June 7 and 8 across 12 territories, with Germany and Austria to follow on June 10. Audiences will be treated to the first three episodes of Season 2, plus exclusive 10-minute bonus content that will only be available in theatres.On Akira, POM Anime has also expanded its partnership with Kodansha on the 4K restoration of the 1988 cyberpunk cult classic. Building on the success of its 4K re-release of Akira in 2023 across 12 countries, POM Anime has secured theatrical rights in eight new territories, expanding into the Nordics and Baltics.
It is gearing up to release the restored 4K feature on July 16, across Poland, Romania, Croatia, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Greece, Cyprus, Hungary, Albania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Iceland, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. This will be the first ever theatrical release in some of these markets.
The release date also holds particular significance for fans; known as Akira Day, it commemorates the day in 1988 when events in the story are said to have destroyed Tokyo and sparked World War III In a further re-release, POM Anime will launch Studio Ghibli's 1998 animated war film Grave of the Fireflies in 15 territories – including Benelux, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Slovenia, Kosovo, Macedonia – over the summer. Bobbi Althoff ends 'Really Good Podcast' with surprise final episode
Bobbi Althoff has said goodbye to "The Really Good Podcast" with a really out of the blue final episode. After over two years, the 28-year-old social media influencer has bid farewell to her podcast known for viral awkward celebrity interviews with stars from Drake and Scarlett Johansson to Mark Cuban. "Rest in peace, 'The Really Good Podcast.' It was a fun run," Althoff wrote on a Thursday, July 31 Instagram post that featured a snippet of the final episode. It opened with her singing Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah." The Los Angeles native said the decision to pull the plug was entirely hers and not influenced by external factors. She explained that while she thought the podcast's lifespan would last longer, she is proud of the success she's received. "I don't think there's any really good way to say this, but this is the last episode," Althoff said in Thursday's episode, in which she wore a black dress. "So, today, we're gonna put on a little funeral for it." She then reflected on some of her popular deadpan interviews, including with Charlie Puth, Jason DeRulo, Shaq, Maluma, Jessica Alba, Michael Cera and Mark Maron. 'It has been a dream, every second of it' Althoff said the podcast has far exceeded her expectations. "This podcast started off with just a girl with a dream to make more money," she quipped. "I'm proud of the accomplishments I've had." Debuting in June 2023, "The Really Good Podcast" has frequently generated viral moments on social media, topped podcast charts and even landed Althoff an iHeart Podcast Award last year in the Best Emerging Podcast category. Arguably, her most popular interview was with rapper Drake on her bed that garnered over 1 billion views and 300 million likes before it was ultimately removed on all platforms, according to Deadline. Althoff seamlessly entered a field of beloved celebrity interview shows known for unconventional charm. They include Sean Evans's spicy wing themed "Hot Ones" to Amelia Dimoldenberg's flirtatious "Chicken Shop Date" series.

Anime Food Just Reached Mouthwatering New Heights in ‘Dan Da Dan'
Anime has had a storied relationship with making food look more appealing than in real life. The most prominent example of this is the legendary Studio Ghibli, which has made a career of putting painstaking work into creating its fluid animation of food, practically wafting smoke from behind the screen and beckoning viewers to lean in closer. Dan Da Dan, ever the rebel, has opted for the opposite route in its latest episode by going full live action with its culinary the fifth episode of the second season of Dan Da Dan, titled 'We Can All Stay There Together,' Okarun, Momo, and their crew continue a tradition made famous by One Piece. After a harrowing battle, they celebrated their hard-earned victory with a feast of delicious foods. This victory involved stopping a raging volcano from setting fire to a nearby village and capturing Evil Eye, who resides in Jiji Enjoji's body. The otherwise pretty chill episode's biggest plot development is the discovery that Jiji and Evil Eye switch personalities whenever cold water is poured on him, reminiscent of Ranma 1/2 (which Dan Da Dan references explicitly by having him sing the original anime's theme song). However, we're not here to discuss the plot. We're here to talk about food. And this episode is chock-full of it in its opening and closing moments. The first is the presentation of a stuffed-to-the-brim bowl of hot pot. Of course, when the characters interact with the communal meal, the live-action food turns into 2D before getting nommed into their mouths. Regardless, Dan Da Dan's decision to drop all pretenses and post a photo of food instead of animating it was equal parts hilarious and mesmerizing. In fact, the feat was so surprising that even manga creator Yukinobu Tatsu voiced his surprise during his live Twitter reaction to the new episode. The episode doubles down on the visual gag with another live-action shot of some food in the episode's final scene as well, making it exceedingly clear that their inspired gastronomic animation decision was no fluke. Cyangames Pictures' anime adaptation of horror manga The Summer Hikaru Died did so as well, though for more shock-horror purposes. Inverse to Dan Da Dan showcasing food so delicious it'll make you want to open up your food delivery app and make some knee-jerk disposable income decisions, The Summer Hikaru Died showed a jumpscare frame of marinated raw chicken to exaggerate the feeling of sticking one's hand inside their demonic, puppeteered friend's body. 'Slow Horses' just got a worrying development — but I'm confident the spy thriller will survive
"Slow Horses" season 5 will officially mark the end of an era for the Apple TV Plus spy thriller. In an interview with Deadline, showrunner Will Smith revealed he's stepping down from the show at the end of season 5. Which, since that season has now entered the post-production phase of its life cycle, means his time with the show has come to an end. 'There were certainly some private tears,' the writer told Deadline. 'Series [season] 5, it doesn't end things by any means, but it concludes certain story arcs that started in season 1, so it felt like a good moment to hand over the show.' In retrospect, we already had some hints that this news was coming. When Apple announced "Slow Horses" season 6, the press release didn't mention Smith anywhere. But given that his comments at the time indicated plenty more of Gary Oldman as Jackson Lamb was to come, nobody batted an eye. But when Apple also left Smith's name out of the season 7 announcement, that caught some people's attention, myself included. Still, it was brushed aside as Smith simply stepping back on the writing of that season, rather than away from the show entirely. Still, it seems Smith has the right perspective on the situation. "I do want to emphasize, it's not in any way that I thought I'm now too good for 'Slow Horses,'" he stated. "It's much more that I want to keep being good enough for 'Slow Horses.' And I would never want it to be like, 'Oh, that one wasn't quite there.' It's just that risk of just pushing it too far. And I just felt, I just want to go when I know I'm still delivering my very, very best for all the people that work on the show.' He was at the top of his game, unlike the sometimes bumbling rejects or washed-up spies he wrote about. He even finally took home an Emmy last year for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series. Apple TV Plus is the home of original shows like "Severance," "Ted Lasso" and "Slow Horses." You also get original movies, with "F1: The Movie" coming later this year. Get your first week free! So losing him could not just be the end of an era for the show — it could mark the beginning of the show's decline. However, I'm hopeful for two reasons. First, with all due respect to Smith, "Slow Horses" is an adaptation, meaning that the source material that originally developed this world and these characters remains unchanged. This isn't like when Benioff and Weiss went off script in "Game of Thrones." Second, Smith has clearly been out of the lead role for a while now, but is only just revealing the news. That leads me to believe that he and the show's production team have a plan in place and people they trust to continue the work at the same caliber once Smith is gone. If it were any other show, I'd be gravely concerned. But "Slow Horses" is such a finely tuned machine — producing three seasons at any given time — that I'm going to trust they know what they are doing until I'm proven otherwise.
