If You Swooned Over Leo Woodall in ‘Bridget Jones,' Watch This Netflix Romance Next

Bridget Jones is back where she belongs: on our screens and in our hearts.
With 'Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy,' which debuted Friday on Peacock 24 years after the original rom-com introduced us to Renée Zellweger's Oscar-nominated performance as the lovingly bumbling heroine, one thing remains as true as ever: men can't get enough of Bridget's unwitting charm.
Now in 'Bridget Jones 4,' Leo Woodall — previously a breakout heartthrob (and criminal) in 'The White Lotus' Season 2 — lays on the dimpled charm as Roxster, Bridget's younger, magnetic love interest, and competing suitor to Mr. Wallaker (Chiwetel Ejiofor), teacher of Bridget's children.
If you found yourself swooning for the 28-year-old London-born actor, we know just the project you should watch him in next. Premiering last year on Netflix, 'One Day' shows Woodall in a softer light than his bad boy 'White Lotus' rabble-rouser, but his sex appeal and leading man charm are still off the charts.
Here's everything you need to know about the acclaimed British drama from last year.
'One Day' is a romantic British limited series starring Leo Woodall and Ambika Mod as a pair of longtime friends-turned-lovers and everything in between. Each episode checks in on the pair on the same day each year over two decades, showing how they enter and exit and ultimately come to define one another's lives.
If Emma Morley and Dexter Mayhew hadn't met and spoken to each other for the first time on July 15, 1988, they would have gone their separate ways after graduation and lived their whole lives not knowing each other.
Adapted from David Nicholls' bestselling, decades-spanning novel, 'One Day' chronicles the interwoven lives of Ambika Mod's Emma and Leo Woodall's Dexter over 20 years and 14 episodes. According to the show's logline, 'Each episode finds Dex and Em, one year older, on this one particular date, as they grow and change, move together and apart, experience joy and heartbreak.'
The two oscillate between friends, lovers and everything in between.
'One Day' starring Leo Woodall and Ambika Mod debuted on Netflix one year ago, just in time for Valentine's Day 2024 on Feb. 8.
'One Day' is streaming now on Netflix.
Leo Woodall stars as Dexter and Ambika Mod stars as Emma. The limited series also features U.K. actors Amber Grappy, Brendan Quinn, Tim McInnerny, Jonny Weldon, Eleanor Tomlinson and Essie Davis in recurring roles.

KNIVES OUT: WAKE UP DEADMAN Teaser Trailer Reveals New Mystery and Release Date — GeekTyrant

Netflix dropped the first official sneak peek for Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery during its Tudum 2025 presentation, and it teases a new mystery and revealed the movie will arrive on December 12, 2025. This will be the third entry in Rian Johnson's modern whodunit series, following 2019's Knives Out and 2022's Glass Onion . Both were critical and audience hits, with Daniel Craig's flamboyant Southern sleuth quickly becoming a fan favorite. The new film comes as the final installment in Johnson's two-film deal with Netflix, but it may not be the last time we see Blanc, depending on how things contune to go with the franchise. The cast for Wake Up Dead Man is, as usual, loaded with talent and Craig is joined this time by Jeremy Renner, Josh O'Connor, Kailee Spaeny, Josh Brolin, Mila Kunis, Andrew Scott, Glenn Close, Kerry Washington, Daryl McCormack, Annie Hamilton, Kerry Frances, and Thomas Haden Church. As for what the story entails, Netflix is still keeping that part under wraps. But Johnson's comments from a previously interview offer a clue about just how different this one might be from what's come before. 'As long as Daniel [Craig] still wants to keep doing it and as long as we have an idea that, to us, feels not just like cranking another one out, but feels genuinely exciting and scary like, 'Oh, wow, could we pull that off?' 'I love the genre. It's endlessly malleable, and so it holds endless possibilities. But at the same time, I have made three of them in a row. I don't feel burnt out on it at all, but the next thing I have in my head to write is an original that's not a mystery at all. It's a totally different genre. 'One of the things I love about the mystery genre is that it holds the whodunit. Like sci-fi, it encompasses so many other types of genres. Wake Up Dead Man, this next movie, is so different than Glass Onion. It's like night and day. And so, as long as we keep doing that, it's exciting.' Each one of these films reshuffles the deck, takes big swings, and that's what mades these movies so fun. So while Wake Up Dead Man might be the end of the Netflix contract, it doesn't feel like the end of the road. If Craig's still having fun and Johnson keeps finding ways to twist the genre, Benoit Blanc's southern drawl may echo for a while longer. Wake Up Dead Man premieres on Netflix December 12, 2025.

Netflix's One Piece adaptation has found its Tony Tony Chopper

After months of teasing the arrival of a certain human-reindeer hybrid in the next season of its live-action One Piece adaptation, Netflix has finally revealed its take on Tony Tony Chopper and the actress who will be bringing him to life. Today during this year's Tudum event showcasing all of Netflix's upcoming projects, the streamer announced that actress Mikaela Hoover (The Suicide Squad, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3) has been cast a Tony Tony Chopper, One Piece 's anthropomorphic reindeer who joins the Staw Hat Pirates on their search for the Grand Line. In addition to Cooper's voice, a digital capture of her facial performance is being used to create the show's CGI character. Iñaki Godoy (Monkey D. Luffy), Mackenyu (Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero (Usopp), Taz Skylar (Sanji), Ilia Isorelys Paulino (Alvida), Jeff Ward (Buggy), and Michael Dorman (Gold Roger) are all returning in One Piece 's second season. But the show is also set to introduce a number of new characters from the comics like Charithra Chandran as Miss Wednesday, Joe Manganiello as Mr. 0, Katey Sagal as Dr. Kureha, and Lera Abova as Miss All Sunday. Though Netflix has committed to quite a bit more One Piece, the second season doesn't have a solid release date just yet. But the streamer plans for new episodes to debut some time in 2026.
