Aditya Thackeray Takes Indirect Dig at Newly Built Palava Flyover During Dahi Handi Event in Dombivli

, who attended the Dahi Handi festival organized by Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray's Shiv Sena in Dombivli, made an indirect remark about the newly built Palava flyover, which has been under controversy due to potholes appearing shortly after its inauguration.
Thackeray was present at the program hosted by Dipesh Mhatre, Kalyan District president of Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray's Shiv Sena. Addressing the gathering, he said he would not speak on political issues on the occasion of Dahi Handi. However, when asked about the prevailing political situation in Maharashtra, he hinted that the decision on whether Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray would come together would be taken by the two leaders themselves.
Taking a swipe at the Palava flyover constructed by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC), Thackeray remarked, "I had planned to come here via the Palava flyover, but they brought me through another route. I will definitely come later to see the world record of this flyover."

The comment comes at a time when the Palava flyover is drawing criticism after potholes began appearing within days of its opening. Former MNS MLA Pramod (Raju) Patil had raised serious concerns about the quality of construction and demanded a structural audit by Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute (VJTI). The state government has since accepted the demand and ordered VJTI to conduct the audit.

1 2 Lucknow: Stray animals have an equal right to live, and dogs have coexisted with humans for centuries, sending them to shelter homes is inhumane, said animal rights activists and animal lovers during a protest staged at Eco Garden on Sunday afternoon. "The dogs are a part of the ecosystem and society, eliminating or pounding them is not the solution. To address the problem scientific treatment including vaccination, sterilization, proper fooding and lodging should be provided. There should be an awareness campaign for making people aware of the protection and adoption of stray dogs," said Pooja Singh, an animal activist. "Dogs often chase vehicles after trauma, and most child bite cases involve provocation. Even those who dislike dogs do not want them to suffer. The difference is only in approach. There should be an awareness drive for the behaviour of these animals," said Neha Zaidi, founder, Fairy Tales (Masoom foundation). Concerns raised included disputed dog-bite statistics, with experts claiming parliamentary data and newspaper reports were in conflict. The protesters demanded strict enforcement of sterilization and vaccination under ABC Rules, an end to forced relocation, responsible media reporting, public awareness drives on dog handling and vaccinations, and promotion of Indie adoptions.
