How did Wordle originate
Wordle was initially developed by engineer Josh Wardle as a thoughtful gift for his partner. However, it quickly gained massive popularity, turning into a global sensation with thousands of players engaging daily. The game's success inspired fans to create various spin-offs, such as the battle royale-style Squabble, the music identification game Heardle, and multi-word challenges like Dordle and Quordle. Its simplicity, paired with daily novelty, made it a part of many people's morning routine. The viral appeal also sparked academic interest in its psychological and linguistic impact.
As its popularity soared, The New York Times acquired Wordle, and it became a hit on social media platforms like TikTok, where creators even livestream their gameplay sessions.

‘Metro... In Dino' Box Office collection day 9: Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Pankaj Tripathi's film sees BIG jump on second Saturday; earns over Rs 33 crore
Anurag Basu's new film 'Metro... In Dino' is taking moviegoers back into the lanes of love, heartbreak and hope, all set in the middle of a busy city. Released on 4th July, this film brings together a big bunch of actors we all know and love. From Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur to Neena Gupta, Pankaj Tripathi , Konkona Sen Sharma , Ali Fazal, Anupam Kher and Fatima Sana Shaikh. Many have called it a sort of spiritual sequel to Basu's popular 2007 film 'Life... In A Metro'. This time, too, he gives us a slice-of-life story that looks at different people and their tangled relationships. The film's box office run started off calm but picked up pace. On day 9, the film's collection saw a big jump. A decent start at the box office According to Sacnilk, 'Metro... Dino' got off to a decent start in cinemas. In its first seven days, the film collected an estimated Rs 26.85 crore in India. On its opening Friday, it made Rs 3.5 crore. Saturday brought in better numbers with Rs 6 crore, and by Sunday, it reached its first peak of Rs 7.25 crore. As the weekdays rolled in, the film's earnings dipped a little, which is common for most films. Monday saw Rs 2.5 crore, Tuesday grew slightly to Rs 3 crore, followed by Rs 2.35 crore on Wednesday and Rs 2.25 crore on Thursday. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Đây có thể là thời điểm tốt nhất để giao dịch vàng trong 5 năm qua IC Markets Tìm hiểu thêm Undo By the end of its first week, the film was close to Rs 27 crore. Big Saturday boost on day 9 Day 8, which was a Friday again, showed early estimates of Rs 2.25 crore. But on day 9, according to early estimates by Sacnilk, the film saw a surge in collection and minted around Rs 4.65 crore on Saturday. This took its total to an impressive Rs 33.85 crore. This jump on the second Saturday has come as a pleasant surprise and shows that audiences are warming up to the film more and more. Day 9 occupancy The occupancy in theatres on Saturday, 12th July, also showed how many people stepped out to watch the film. Overall, 'Metro... In Dino' had a 44.84% Hindi occupancy that day. The morning shows had around 18.63% seats filled. This went up sharply in the afternoon shows to 47.86%. By evening, it was even better at 56.28%, and night shows did the best with 56.59% occupancy. 'Metro... In Dino' review 'The Times of India' gave the film a fair review, pointing out both the good and the not-so-good bits. The review read, "Despite being largely pleasant, some tracks don't quite add up, feel uneven and don't know where to end. After an engaging build up, the second half feels a tad stretched. You also wish the story scratched the surface a little more, especially for Konkona-Neena Gupta track, where the actors have the potential and gravitas to dig deeper. " However, the review also praised the film for giving Bollywood something it's been missing lately. It said, "There has been a scarcity of love stories in Bollywood and Metro In Dino, elevated by some fine performances, fills that gap perfectly. It is a breezy, intimate watch tailor-made for a rainy day."

Aaron Rodgers' touching reunion with ‘family' member steals spotlight from celebrity golf event
Aaron Rodgers' touching reunion with 'family' member (Getty Images) As Aaron Rodgers inches closer to the twilight of his NFL career, the four-time MVP has shown that some bonds matter far more than stats or accolades. Amid a break before training camp, Rodgers made his way to the scenic setting of Lake Tahoe to participate in the annual American Century Championship, a celebrity golf tournament that's as much about connection as competition. Aaron Rodgers finds solace in unexpected bond with his 'Lake Tahoe Grandma' While Rodgers' estrangement from parts of his biological family has long been known, his affectionate reunion with a woman he fondly calls his 'Lake Tahoe grandma' turned heads for all the right reasons. The 41-year-old quarterback greeted Carol Sargent, his longtime friend, with a warm embrace and a genuine smile—offering a rare glimpse into the emotional side of the famously private athlete. Their story began nearly two decades ago when Sargent introduced herself to Rodgers at the same tournament. 'Favorite part of the year. Because we've made a really nice friendship, and we appreciate each other and nice to catch up,' Sargent told Daily Mail, highlighting the significance of their enduring bond. Despite not being related by blood, Sargent and Rodgers have shared a relationship that is deeply rooted in mutual respect and admiration. 'He's a wonderful person, so I feel very fortunate,' she continued. 'It's just been a wonderful friendship. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 기미, 레이저말고 이렇게 해보세요 에스테틱최원장 Undo He's thoughtful, he's caring. He is extremely intelligent. He is a warm, wonderful person. He has his opinions and he's free to express them – which is what he should be able to do. And [he is] a great friend. A great, great friend.' In a world where headlines around Rodgers often revolve around controversy or on-field drama, his heartwarming interaction with Sargent felt refreshingly authentic. The quarterback, typically stoic and guarded in public, was visibly relaxed and cheerful—far removed from the often intense figure seen on game days. Superman box office collection Day 2: David Corenswet's superhero debut sees good growth, crosses Rs 16 crore mark in India
James Gunn's Superman is gaining momentum at the Indian box office. After opening with a solid Rs 7 crore net on Friday, the film saw a significant jump in collections on Saturday, bringing in an estimated Rs 9.25 crore, according to early figures from Sacnilk. This takes the two-day total for the DC reboot, starring David Corenswet as the Man of Steel, to Rs 16.25 crore net across all languages in India. The superhero spectacle, which was released in English as well as dubbed versions in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu, recorded an overall English occupancy of 32.50% on Saturday. Regional performance was more modest, with Tamil occupancy at 21.79% and Hindi at 15.41%. While Superman is currently leading the box office, it hasn't quite matched the early expectations that projected a Rs 40 crore opening weekend. The film faces stiff competition from domestic releases, most notably Rajkummar Rao's crime drama Maalik, which saw strong day-two growth, earning an estimated Rs 5.25 crore after a Rs 3.75 crore opening. On the other hand, Aankhon Ki Gustaakhiyan, starring Vikrant Massey and marking the debut of Shanaya Kapoor , continues to struggle. The romantic drama earned approximately Rs 49 lakh on Saturday, showing only a marginal improvement from its first day. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 기미, 레이저말고 이렇게 해보세요 에스테틱최원장 Undo Despite underperforming slightly against pre-release projections, Superman remains the highest-grossing superhero film of the year in India so far. It also holds the title of the best-performing Hollywood opener of the season, trailing just behind franchise juggernauts like Jurassic World: Rebirth, which has crossed Rs 60 crore in its second weekend. Written and directed by James Gunn, Superman introduces a fresh take on the iconic hero, with a cast that includes Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane, Nicholas Hoult as Lex Luthor, and supporting performances by Isabela Merced , Nathan Fillion, Anthony Carrigan, and Edi Gathegi. As the film enters Sunday, it is expected to continue its upward trend. All eyes are now on whether Superman can maintain its box office momentum and close the weekend on a strong note.
