Anthony Anderson responds to viral Lindsay Lohan interview backlash
A resurfaced 2003 interview featuring Anthony Anderson and then-17-year-old Lindsay Lohan has sparked significant backlash online due to inappropriate remarks made by Anderson. T he clip, from The Sharon Osbourne Show aired on December 16, 2003, shows Anderson, 33 at the time, making comments about Lohan's dating life that many viewers now find disturbing. During the interview, Anderson told Lohan he 'liked 'em young' after she mentioned she was 'illegal for people that are old.' The actor also made other remarks, including joking about Lohan kissing him on the lips and commenting on her growth since her appearance in The Parent Trap. I'll never pass up an opportunity to remind everyone that Anthony Anderson is a rapist and also a pedophile according to his words in this video — caliphornia QING (@caliphorniaqing) July 23, 2025 In response to the viral clip, Anderson's spokesperson told People that the interview 'was clearly intended as comedy.' The statement emphasized Anderson's respect for Lohan and expressed regret if the humor was in poor taste. The spokesperson added, 'Any implication to the contrary is both inaccurate and potentially defamatory.' The interview lasted about six and a half minutes, during which Anderson also discussed Lohan's then-upcoming projects, including Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen and Mean Girls.
