Fantasy football GW29 strategy with snooker's Neil Robertson, fresh from Hong Kong triumph

The former world champion triumphed after coming back from the brink of defeat in his semi-final, later joking: 'I was starting to think about the FPL deadline.'
Having won the final against Stuart Bingham by a scarcely believable 10-0, can he hold his form, both on the snooker table – where he is heading back towards the world's top 10 – and in fantasy football, in which he is an increasingly committed player?

'Certainly you're in a good place and want to keep it going,' the Chelsea fan told the Post, reflecting on a memorable trip to Hong Kong and previewing the coming week's Players Championship in Telford. As fate would have it, he has been drawn against Bingham.
'The law of averages says [after winning] 10 frames in a row … at some point that has to end.'
Blank Gameweek 29 strategy
On to fantasy business, and Blank Gameweek 29 – so called because four teams are out of action, League Cup finalists Liverpool and Newcastle among them.

Liverpool v Bournemouth: police investigate as Semenyo reports racist abuse
Police are investigating after a man was ejected from Anfield Stadium following reports of a Bournemouth player being racially abused during the first Premier League game of the season against Liverpool on Friday. Advertisement Visiting forward Antoine Semenyo reported being racially abused by a spectator, and match referee Anthony Taylor stopped play in the 29th minute. He spoke with managers Arne Slot and Andoni Iraola before the two captains, Virgil van Dijk and Adam Smith, were called over to the dugouts. An anti-discrimination message was read out to the Anfield crowd, and police officers reportedly went into the referee's dressing room at half-time. Merseyside Police said a 47-year-old man was removed from the ground, and an investigation was under way after his identity was confirmed. Crystal Palace humble Liverpool in Community Shield
Crystal Palace humble Liverpool in Community Shield Crystal Palace's Marc Guehi lifts the trophy as he celebrates with teammates after winning the FA Community Shield. Photo: Reuters Crystal Palace beat Premier League champions Liverpool 3-2 on penalties to win the Community Shield after an entertaining 2-2 draw at Wembley on Sunday, with keeper Dean Henderson reprising his penalty-saving heroics from their FA Cup final triumph. Substitute Justin Devenny scored the winning spot kick, after Mohamed Salah skied the Reds' first penalty and Henderson – who saved an Omar Marmoush penalty as Palace won their first major trophy against Manchester City in May – then saved efforts from Alexis Mac Allister and Harvey Elliott. "They were 2-1 up, you would think we were out of the game," Henderson said. "The manager said we would get chances in the second half ... and we deserved that in the end." New recruit Hugo Ekitike had put Liverpool ahead inside four minutes after he and record signing Florian Wirtz combined beautifully before the Frenchman produced a superb finish. But Palace deservedly levelled in the 17th minute, Jean-Philippe Mateta sending Alisson the wrong way from the penalty spot after Virgil van Dijk brought down Ismaila Sarr. Close-season signing Jeremie Frimpong restored the Reds' lead, as Liverpool fans marked the death of Portugal forward Diogo Jota with 20 minutes on the clock in honour of his shirt number, sending an attempted cross looping in off the post. "We could have maybe scored the third one in the first 15 to 20 minutes after halftime but we didn't, we kept them alive," Liverpool boss Arne Slot said. Palace's England forward Eberechi Eze tested Alisson with a low shot before the Londoners equalised again with 13 minutes to play, Sarr slotting past the onrushing Alisson. Devenny got the winner in the shootout with an emphatic penalty to give Palace a third victory at Wembley in a row. Palace boss Oliver Glasner said he was "very happy with the squad", though he added that this season's European campaign – with Palace expected to find out on Monday if it will be in the Europa League or Conference League – will increase demands. He revealed that Northern Ireland midfielder Devenny had even volunteered for the pressure penalty. "Justin came (to me and said) 'I'll take it, I'll take the last one'," the Palace manager said, complimenting the 21-year-old's confidence. (Reuters)

Hong Kong new boy Neil Robertson backs city to host World Snooker Championship
Neil Robertson raised the possibility of moving lock, stock and barrel to Hong Kong, and said he would be 'right behind' the idea of the city hosting the World Snooker Championship. As the reigning World Grand Prix champion and winner of the 2017 Hong Kong Masters, Robertson welcomed the thought of snooker's marquee event coming to the city. The Crucible Theatre's contract to host the World Championship expires in 2027 – 50 years on from when the tournament was first held at the 980-seat Sheffield venue. 'I'd love to see it move around; it shouldn't stay in one place,' Robertson said. 'Fans in Asia have every right to support a World Championship, so I would be right behind it [coming to Hong Kong], for sure.' Robertson also mooted mainland China as a potential destination for the 17-day competition after Zhao Xintong became the country's first winner this year.
