R&B minister slams YSRCP chief, questions credibility to face people
The minister said that the NDA alliance government is moving forward with the motto of 'taking governance to the people with welfare and development as its goal.' In contrast, he mocked the YSRCP for attempting to re-enter public life with the slogan 'Babu Surety-Betrayal Guarantee', calling it ridiculous and shameless.
Highlighting the party's electoral downfall, he ridiculed the YSRCP for being reduced to just 11 Assembly seats, asking sarcastically, 'What happened to their 'Why Not 175' ambition?'
Reddy alleged that Jagan earned the dubious distinction of sending IAS and IPS officers, and even his own ministers, to jail due to corruption. He questioned whether such a leader should be seen supporting rowdies, ganja dealers, and land mafia groups. 'Jagan's anarchic rule scared away investors, but under the current government, investments are queuing up like a flood,' he added.
Referring to the previous government's push for three capitals, he blamed Jagan for destroying the state under that pretext. 'Now, under Chandrababu Naidu's leadership, the capital works are progressing in a way that will make the state stand tall across India,' he said. He also said the Polavaram project was being accelerated.
Assuring development in the region, the minister promised to complete all the roads proposed by MLA Amarnath Reddy in the Palamaner constituency. DCCB chairman Amasa Rajasekhar Reddy was also present at the press meet.
Earlier in the day, the leaders participated in the 'Suparipalanalo Tholi Adugu' (First Step in Good Governance) programme at Baireddipalle in the Palamaner constituency.
They distributed NTR Bharosa pensions to beneficiaries. On the occasion, the minister said that despite financial constraints, the state government was effectively implementing welfare and development initiatives, and added that the NDA's 'Super Six' schemes have turned out to be a 'Super Success.'

Andhra to become waste-free by Dec 2025, says Municipal Minister Narayana
Andhra Pradesh Municipal Minister P Narayana on Monday said that the state will become waste-free by December 2025. Nearly 20 lakh tonne of newly accumulated waste and 85 lakh tonne left by the previous government will be cleared by October and December respectively, he said while addressing a press conference. Instructing the Municipal commissioners to prioritise solid and liquid waste management, he said clean city goals require public awareness and cooperation. At present, the daily waste is transported to Visakhapatnam and Guntur waste-to-energy plants, with new plants coming up in Kadapa, Kurnool, Nellore, Rajahmundry and Tirupati, the minister said. Sewage treatment plants will be completed within two years, and drinking water pipelines under the Atal Mission for Rejuvenation and Urban Transformation (AMRUT) scheme will also be expedited, Narayana said. The minister blamed the previous YSRCP government for allegedly halting Amaravati development plans.

Andhra liquor scam: New video shows Jagan Reddy party leader's aide counting cash
A new video linked to the Andhra Pradesh liquor scam has surfaced, showing stacks of cash reportedly worth Rs 35 crore. The video was allegedly found on the phone of Venkatesh Naidu, who is named Accused No. 34 (A-34) in the case. Naidu, a close aide of YSRCP senior leader Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, is seen in the video counting bundles of cash, which investigators say came through hawala cash includes both Rs 500 notes and old, demonetised Rs 2000 notes. It is suspected to have come from a distillery company and was allegedly sent to Chevireddy as proof of receipt. Naidu has been taken into custody by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in who is known to be closely associated with former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, has been listed as Accused No 38 (A-38) in the case. Reddy was detained by the SIT on June 18 in Bengaluru. NELLORE: Political tensions escalated in Nellore district following YSRCP President YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's recent visit, with sharp exchanges between YSRCP and TDP leaders. On Thursday (July 31), a media briefing near the YSRCP office in Kovur briefly turned tense after a verbal altercation broke out between women leaders of the two parties. The heated exchange drew media and public attention, prompting TDP leaders to condemn what they termed a growing culture of political intimidation. They said they would lodge a formal complaint with the police. Amid the political unrest, Nellore MP Vemireddy Prabhakar Reddy dismissed allegations of corruption in the quartz export business as baseless and politically motivated. He asserted that his companies, Fini Quartz and Lakshmi Quartz Sand Private Limited, exported only 19,608 tonnes between 2024 and 2025, a small fraction of the 1.6 lakh tonnes exported by 96 firms during the same period. 'The business was aimed at generating employment and developing local industry,' Vemireddy said, announcing his decision to exit the quartz sector due to defamation. He highlighted initiatives such as distributing electric tricycles to the differently-abled and the upcoming free eye care programme under 'VPR Nethra', adding that even CSR contributions were made from personal funds. 'If any local entrepreneur wants to take up quartz mining, I will extend full support,' he added.
