Why Kelly & Aimee Osbourne Weren't on Speaking Terms Before Dad Ozzy's Death
The Osbourne family confirmed Ozzy's death in a July 22 joint statement, marking the first time Kelly, 40, and Aimee, 41, have been publicly involved with one another since Kelly revealed their feud in 2021.

All About Ozzy Osbourne's Lesser-Known Kids From His First Marriage
'It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,' their statement read. 'He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family's privacy at this time. Sharon, Jack, Kelly, Aimee and Louis.'
Two of Ozzy's older children from his first marriage, Jessica and Elliot, were notably left out of the statement.
In 2021, Kelly revealed that she is not in contact with Aimee. 'We don't talk,' she said during an appearance on Dax Shepard's podcast Armchair Expert, 'We're just really different. She doesn't understand me and I don't understand her.'
Aimee, who is also an older sister to Jack, the youngest of Sharon and Ozzy's three kids, alluded to issues in her relationship with her siblings in 2015. 'I wouldn't say there is an ease between us,' she told The Independent. 'But there is an acceptance. Do we socialize? No.'
Aimee also elaborated on having a very different relationship with fame than the rest of her family. 'I'll be having lunch with my mum and she'll complain about the paparazzi outside,' she said. 'I tell her that she could have worn a beanie, but of course she never does. She loves it – it's how she chooses to connect with people. That's fine, I can respect that. But I'm the opposite. I always have been.'
Aimee is, by far, the most private of Sharon and Ozzy's kids and notably moved out of the family's Los Angeles home at age 16 to avoid appearing on their MTV reality show, The Osbournes.
'Back then, I still felt I was trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life, so why on earth would I want that portrayed on television?' Aimee told The Independent of her decision not to appear on the show. 'I wanted to protect myself, my parents, my siblings, too. They were very young, very impressionable.'
She said that the family had 'shouting matches' over whether to accept MTV's offer before she was eventually outvoted by her parents and younger siblings.
'It didn't matter what I thought, ultimately,' she added. 'This was their path, their decision, and they were of course at liberty to take the opportunity. Which they did.'
When MTV started filming, Aimee moved out. 'Obviously, I would have liked to stay at home a little longer,' she said, 'but it wasn't to be.'
Later, in 2018, Sharon reflected on her daughter's departure from the family home and admitted that she wished she'd handled it differently.
'She felt too that she didn't want to grow up on camera,' Sharon said of Aimee during a 2018 episode of The Talk, per People. 'And so she left at 16 and I regret every day that she did.'

Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. As wrestling and entertainment royalty gathered for Hulk Hogan's private funeral on Tuesday, his daughter, Brooke Hogan, was noticeably absent. She has now broken her silence on her decision, explaining that she chose to honor her late father with a private, personal tribute instead of attending the formal service. Hogan's funeral took place in his home city of Clearwater, Florida, on August 5th. In a new Instagram post, Brooke shared her reasons for not being there. A Private Goodbye Brooke Hogan explained that her father "hated the morbidity of funerals" and never wanted one. She felt the most genuine way to honor him was to take her family to the beach, a place he loved dearly. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Brooke Oleksy (@mizzhogan) "Daddy, we honored you in the simplest way that agreed with my soul," she wrote in an emotional post. "We took our babies to the beach, and put them in the same salty waters you loved... Every grain of sand and every wave reminded me of being your beach baby, and brought us closer to you." The post included photos of her with her husband, Steven Oleksy, and their twin children, Molly and Oliver. A Complicated Grief Brooke's decision to grieve separately is the latest chapter in the complex story of her relationship with her father and his public legacy. She has been very open about the fact that she and her father were estranged for the last two years of his life, having last spoken in 2023. This estrangement has clearly complicated her grieving process. More news: WWE Superstar Announces Retirement Match Brooke Hogan and Hulk Hogan during Saturn Presents Sean "P. File Photo by Chris Chew/UPI | License Photo Aug. 6 (UPI) -- Jack Osbourne posted a tribute to his late father, Ozzy Osbourne, on Instagram Wednesday. The former Black Sabbath member died July 22, just weeks after playing his final show with the band in Birmingham, England. He was 76. Jack Osbourne said his heart "has hurt too much" to want to post something honoring Ozzy. "I'm gonna keep this short because he certainly hated long rambling speeches," Jack Osbourne wrote. "He was so many things to so many people, but I was so lucky and blessed to be a part of a very small group that got to call him 'Dad.'" He also included a video montage that featured clips and photos of the pair together as Jack grew up. "My heart is full of so much sadness and sorrow, but also so much love and gratitude. I got 14,501 days with that man and I know that is such a blessing." He also included a Hunter S. Thompson quote: "Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body... but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming, 'Wow! What a ride!'" "That was my dad," he concluded. "He lived and he lived his life fully. I love you dad." Jack, sister Kelly and mother Sharon had appeared alongside Ozzy in The Osbournes, which ran through 2005 on MTV. Why Sharon Osbourne Fought So Hard To Bring Ozzy Back to England Before His Final Days
When Ozzy Osbourne passed away on July 22, many fans were surprised to learn that he was no longer living in Los Angeles. The Black Sabbath lead singer and his wife, Sharon Osbourne, relocated to England — a plan that was long in the works. The couple spent their last year and a half together living in Buckinghamshire after spending most of their time in Southern California for over two decades. Their mansion will forever remain iconic, thanks to the MTV reality show, The Osbournes, but a return home to the U.K. was calling Sharon. More from SheKnows Two of Ozzy Osbourne's Kids Seemingly Skipped His Funeral After They Were Left Out of Family Statement 'Sharon had wanted to move back to England for years, especially as she got older. England was always home for them, but it became more than that,' an insider told People. 'It was about creating peace and the best life possible together in their final chapter. The path back to England wasn't easy. His health has been fragile for years. … It was a gift, because they got a year and a half together, at home.' In the end, it was the right decision for the tight-knit family ahead of the rocker's passing. 'Ozzy's final days were spent in England, surrounded by family, music, and in the place he called home. He was in peace,' the source added. The couple returned to England in February 2023, and Ozzy explained to The Guardian that they were no longer keen about the political strife that had been plaguing the U.S. over the last decade. 'Everything's f—ing ridiculous there. I'm fed up with people getting killed every day,' he said to the media outlet in August 2022. 'God knows how many people have been shot in school shootings. And there was that mass shooting in Vegas at that concert… It's f—ng crazy.' 'And I don't want to die in America. I don't want to be buried in f—ing Forest Lawn,' Ozzy said of the famous Hollywood cemetery. 'I'm English. I want to be back. But saying that, if my wife said we've got to go and live in Timbuktu, I'll go.' Being the ultimate businesswoman, though, Sharon brokered a deal for a 10-part BBC reality show, Home to Roost, which chronicles their move back to England — it hasn't aired yet, but it might, according to Deadline. If the momager had her way, she would have returned to their home country sooner, but Ozzy's chronic health problems, including his 20-year battle with Parkinson's disease, kept them in the U.S. 'It just seems that every time we're set to go, something happens with Ozzy's health,' she said on The Osbournes Podcast in July 2024. 'We'll get there. We want to go back so bad, but we'll get there. Won't we, Ozzy?' They made it home with the move becoming permanent in March 2025 after bouncing between two countries for a few years, just in time for Ozzy to enjoy the comforts of home with of SheKnows Tom Cruise's Full Dating History Is Filled With Many A-List Women Who Is Pamela Anderson Dating?
