Beloved Channel 4 soap spin-off returns after 12 years after it first hit our screens

Fans were over the moon when they were treated to a special episode in 2020.
The show, which usually aired after 9am on E4, explored themes and storylines that the 6:30pm episode would not have in it, including more sex and swearing.
And now viewers will be happy to know that they will be able to get their next Hollyoaks Later fix later this year.
In October, in aid of Hollyoaks' 30th birthday week, there will be another instalment of the post-watershed spin-off.

The actress is best known for playing Steph Britton in Corrie between 2013 and 2017.
Speaking about the upcoming venture, Jorgie said: 'It's really exciting to be a part of Laters, I've been in so many over the years and they're always my favourite - hopefully I get a swear word this time.
'Theresa is scheming with an unlikely business partner and its fun to see her living life on the edge again.
'It's incredible to time my return with the Hollyoaks 30th birthday week too, I couldn't miss it.'
While Jamie added: 'It's great to be back for Hollyoaks 30th celebrations and what better way to return than a Laters.

'We'll be filming a lot on location and they're pulling out all the stops so I'm looking forward to it.'

Alan Sheehan says Swansea plan to build on buzz of Snoop Dogg becoming co-owner
Alan Sheehan has described the 'buzz' since Snoop Dogg became a Swansea co-owner and explained how the Championship club plan to build on the feel-good factor. The 53-year-old American rapper joined a growing list of celebrity investors in British football last month by becoming part of a Swansea ownership group that already included Croatia midfield great Luka Modric. Multi award-winning Snoop said Swansea's 'underdog' story 'really struck a chord with me' and his vast following on social media – 89 million on Instagram and 20.5 million on X – quickly learned about the Welsh club and his love for Joe's ice cream in the city. 'To have Snoop and Luka on board is a massive benefit,' Swansea boss Sheehan said ahead of Saturday's league opener at Middlesbrough. 'There is a buzz, obviously. As a football club you have to become more appealing commercially, to be more competitive, and appeal to the wider nation. 'It's different to how it was maybe when I was a player, but I understand why, and I totally welcome it. 'Rome wasn't built in a day, but there are big plans for the football club. 'It's about building strong foundations and building that character and resilience within the football club.' Comparisons with Wrexham, who are owned by Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney, are unavoidable and already being made. The two Welsh clubs are Championship rivals this season after Wrexham became the first team in the top five tiers of English football to win three successive promotions. A docu-series tracking life at Swansea, on similar lines to the award-winning FX show 'Welcome to Wrexham', is understood to be already in the pipeline. Asked if Swansea – who were relegated in 2018 after seven seasons in the Premier League – were the 'new' Wrexham, Sheehan said: 'No, we're Swansea. We're not new anything. 'Now they're in our division, I suppose, it becomes more there now (rivalry), but we don't play them until December. So I won't really be speaking about them until December.' Modric – who joined the board in April following a takeover led by American businessmen Brett Cravatt and Jason Cohen six months earlier – was unveiled as an AC Milan player on Monday after his trophy-littered 13-year spell at Real Madrid ended this summer. The 39-year-old has played his part in Sheehan's summer recruitment strategy, actively persuading players to join the Welsh club. 'Obviously, his transfer situation… he was unavailable to come here,' smiled Sheehan. 'We've had a few text messages and he's involved. 'Luka has spoke to some players, passed on his knowledge, what he knows about the football club, and the plans that we have for it. 'Snoop and Luka are very invested in the club. They care, they speak through the ownership and the ownership are very good to us.' So will Grammy-nominated Snoop soon be swapping California for Swansea to watch a game? 'I believe so,' said Sheehan. 'But I'm not sure which game yet. It would be very naive and narrow-minded to think two very successful people in what they do could not help us. 'Successful people have a lot in common – a work ethic, a grit, a determination to get where they want to get to. So with Snoop, Luka and the ownership there is a lot of positivity around the football club.'

Hollyoaks icon returns to screens as he lands huge US TV role 17 years after quitting soap
Former soap star turned Hollywood actor Guy Burnet is now a world away from his time starring in Hollyoaks Hollyoaks legend Guy Burnet has landed a huge new role 17 years after his soap exit as is set to star in a hugely successful Paramount+ series. The 41-year-old, who played Craig Dean on the Channel 4 show from 2002 to 2008, has reportedly joined the cast of US series Landman as it launches its second season. The first season premiered last November, with the finale airing in January 2025. The drama was officially renewed for a second season back in March. The new 11-part series is set around the world of oil rigs in Texas and is touted to be a modern-day story about fortune seekers. It is based on the Boomtown podcast. The first season of the American based series was a huge success for Paramount, garnerning a huge 35 million global streaming viewers since its debut in November 2024, in addition to being the number one Paramount+ original ever on the service, according to the streamer. Billy Bob Thornton also scored a Golden Globe nomination for best actor in a drama series for his role in the show, reports USA Today. In recurring guest roles, Guy Burnet will play Charlie Newsom, a charming oil and gas engineer opposite Miriam Silverman as Greta Stidham, an intimidating university admissions counsellor. They will star alongside Billy Bob Thornton, Demi Moore, Andy Garcia, Sam Elliott and Ali Larter among others. Since waving goodbye to Hollyoaks, Burnet has starred in Netflix 's Fubar opposite Arnold Schwarzenegger and appeared in Christopher Nolan's Oscar-winning Oppenheimer. He also appeared alongside Samuel L. Jackson in The Beast and with Jeff Daniels in Reykjavík. Burnet's other past work includes Dead for a Dollar (alongside Christoph Waltz and Willem Dafoe) as well as Pitch Perfect, Mortdecai, and roles in The Feed, Electric Dreams, Counterpart, Ray Donovan and The Affair. Who was Guy Burnett in Hollyoaks? Burnet arrived on the Chester based soap in 2002 as fresh faced Craig Dean and his character was involved in several gripping storylines, including struggling with his sexuality. Craig eventually got engaged to John-Paul McQueen (James Sutton), and they became one of the soap's most beloved couples. However, loves young dream was cut short when Craig left for Trinity College, Dublin, after his affair with John Paul was dramatically exposed at Craig and Sarah's (Loui Batley) engagement party. Burnet left his soap role in August 2008 before making a brief comeback the same year. Speaking about his decision to quit Hollyoaks, Burnet confirmed he wanted to take the opportunity to experience other things while he was still young. The actor told Digital Spy in 2007: "Initially, the thing that threw me over the edge to say 'right, I am going to leave Hollyoaks' was when I was sat at home thinking 'I'd love to go to Tokyo; I'd love to go and live in Mexico; I want to go and live in Costa Rica; I want to go and do these things now while I'm young and can still do them'." He added: "I learned so much at Hollyoaks. I loved the place and it was the most difficult decision almost purely based on the people, your best friends who work there – like Nick Pickard [Tony Hutchinson], Jimmy McKenna [Jack Osborne] and Carly Stenson [Steph Dean] – they're my family. "They're people that before I even made my decision to leave, I went to and spoke to them about it. I remember having a conversation with Nick Pickard and saying 'I love it here, it's great but I feel that I want to move on but the thing that makes me want to stay the most is you guys'. He said to me 'go, don't let that hold you back'." Hollyoaks lands on Channel 4 streaming at 7am, then air on E4 at 7pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays.
