Ravens free agent offensive guard recently arrested for DUI

USA Today17-02-2025
The Ravens are already dealing with the accusations surrounding Justin Tucker, and now free-agent offensive guard Ben Cleveland is in the news.
TMZ Sports reports that Cleveland was arrested last week on suspicions of a DUI.
According to Baldwin County Sheriff's Office documents we obtained, Cleveland was suspected of drunk driving in Milledgeville, Ga. on Feb. 12.
The docs state the 26-year-old — a third-round pick in the 2021 NFL Draft out of the Univ. of Georgia — was pulled over at around 10:25 PM … after he had been swerving in a roadway. Cops wrote Cleveland was actually driving so erratically, he nearly steered his black Ford F-250 into a ditch.
According to the report Cleveland admitted to drinking 'approximately 3-4 beers' at a nearby country club before getting behind the wheel. Cleveland failed at least one field sobriety test and his.178 on the test was more than double the legal limit of .08.
Cleveland reportedly was given two separate citations — one for DUI – alcohol and the other for failure to maintain lane.

Browns, Isaiah Bond saga gets two more updates

Former Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond may have jumped the gun when he announced that he would be signing with the Cleveland Browns on Thursday night. While the two sides haven't agreed to a deal yet, the Browns and Bond are expected to make the move official in the coming days. Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland dot com has reported that Bond is set to fly to Cleveland on Saturday and is expected to ink his contract when the team returns from their trip to Philadelphia to take on the Eagles on Sunday. He prospectively joins a room of Jerry Jeudy, Cedric Tillman, Jamari Thrash, Diontae Johnson, and more. This gives Bond a pretty clear path toward making the 53-man roster in one of the Browns' weaker position groups on the roster. Cabot, however, dropped a second update in her report as well. According to the Browns insider, Bond is also unlikely to face any sort of discipline after his sexual assault case was thrown out by a judge on Thursday. This would then seemingly set a precedent for running back Quinshon Judkins, who also had his charges dropped and case thrown out stemming from a July arrest for domestic violence and battery. Regardless, it looks like two players will be cut, and two more will be signed before the Browns get back on the practice field on Monday. Browns not the only one monitoring Isaiah Bond's situation

It's been reported that former Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond, who stated he was joining the Cleveland Browns, is currently under investigation. The league is reviewing his sexual assault case, which was no-billed on Thursday evening, according to Mary Kay Cabot of While the team has made no official announcement of this signing, Bond was quick to shout out Browns owner Jimmy Haslam and other representatives of the franchise. In terms of best fit, Cleveland could be the quickest opportunity for this young wide receiver to get another chance. The NFL is reviewing this case because there is a possibility that, even if not faced with legal action, Bond could have violated the Personal Conduct Policy. Despite this, the reason for signing Bond is obvious: the Browns desperately need depth at the wide receiver position, and Bond was projected to be a first- or second-round pick before his legal troubles. The expectation is that the team will announce his signing sooner rather than later, especially if they want to have him on the field for the final preseason game.
