CM Siddaramaiah, Aamir Khan exchange pleasantries at Rashtrapati Bhavan
According to the Chief Minister's Office, 'When Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited Rashtrapati Bhavan to meet the President, he had a brief encounter with the sensitive Bollywood actor-director Aamir Khan. They exchanged pleasantries and conveyed best wishes to each other.'
Upon spotting Aamir Khan at Rashtrapati Bhavan, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah waved at him. Aamir Khan greeted the Chief Minister with folded hands and extended his wishes. The two then shook hands and had a brief, cheerful conversation.

CM Siddaramaiah arrived in Delhi on Monday night. He is also scheduled to meet Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs Nirmala Sitharaman at 4.50 p.m.
According to the CMO, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will discuss with President Droupadi Murmu the pending proposals awaiting the President's assent.
Seven legislations passed by the Congress-led government in Karnataka are awaiting presidential assent. These include: The Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education (Karnataka Amendment) Bill, 2015, The Karnataka (Mineral Rights and Mineral Bearing Land) Tax Bill, 2024, The Notaries (Karnataka Amendment) Bill, 2025, and The Registration (Karnataka Amendment) Bill, 2025.
The Chief Minister is also expected to discuss the controversial Karnataka Transparency in Public Procurements (Amendment) Act, 2025, which seeks to provide a 4 per cent quota for Muslims in government contracts, and the Karnataka Hindu Religious Institutions and Charitable Endowments (Amendment) Act, 2024, aimed at regulating temples.
CM Siddaramaiah has also strongly urged the Central government to ensure fair allocation of funds to Karnataka under the 16th Finance Commission, highlighting that Karnataka has suffered a loss of around Rs 80,000 crore in allocations when compared to the 14th Finance Commission.
He is likely to discuss the matter with Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman.

Nagamani to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). He said on Wednesday the verdict reflects growing public distrust in the state's investigative agencies and will help restore faith in the judicial system. The lawyer couple was brutally murdered in broad daylight in Peddapalli district, triggering widespread outrage and raising serious concerns about the safety of legal professionals in the state. The Apex Court's decision to transfer the case to the CBI is seen as a significant step toward ensuring justice and accountability. Rao said that the CBI probe would uncover the full facts of the case and ensure that those responsible face strict punishment. He also reiterated his long-standing demand for the introduction of an Advocate Protection Act to safeguard lawyers from such attacks. 'As a former MLC, I had repeatedly urged the previous government to enact the Advocate Protection Act, but the demand was ignored,' Rao said. He called on the current Congress-led state government to fulfill its election manifesto promise and introduce the legislation in the upcoming assembly session. NEW DELHI: The BJP on Wednesday launched a counterattack on the Congress, questioning its alleged attempt at 'vote-chori' by reportedly seeking inclusion of Sonia Gandhi's name in the electoral roll years before she was granted Indian citizenship. In response to the Congress's criticism of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) system and its allegations of electoral malpractice, BJP IT Cell chief Amit Malviya took to 'X' (formerly Twitter), saying, 'Sonia Gandhi's tryst with India's voters' list is riddled with glaring violations of electoral law.' He wrote, 'This perhaps explains Rahul Gandhi's fondness for regularising ineligible and illegal voters, and his opposition to the SIR. Her name first appeared on the rolls in 1980 — three years before she became an Indian citizen and while she still held Italian citizenship. At the time, the Gandhi family lived at 1, Safdarjung Road, the official residence of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Until then, the voters registered at that address were Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi, Sanjay Gandhi, and Maneka Gandhi.' Tagging a copy of the requisition slip for adding Sonia Gandhi's name, Malviya claimed, 'In 1980, the electoral rolls of the New Delhi parliamentary constituency were revised with January 1, 1980, as the qualifying date. During this revision, Sonia Gandhi's name was added, appearing at serial number 388 in polling station 145'. He alleged in the post, 'This entry was a clear violation of the law, which requires a person to be an Indian citizen to be registered as a voter. Following an outcry in 1982, her name was deleted from the list — only to reappear in 1983. But even her reinstatement raised serious questions. In the fresh revision of the electoral rolls that year, Sonia Gandhi was listed at serial number 236 in polling. Thakur's vote theft charge Ex-Union Minister Anurag Thakur alleged voter registration irregularities in Rae Bareli, Wayanad, Diamond Harbour, and Kannauj.
