Intel Warning: Gaza faces very dangerous health, humanitarian scenario

Saba Yemen09-07-2025
Geneva – Saba:
The World Health Organization warned on Tuesday of the deteriorating health conditions in the Gaza Strip, stressing that current conditions have become catastrophic, especially for pregnant and breastfeeding women, in light of the ongoing Israeli bombardment and the denial of humanitarian aid.
The organization noted that the scarcity of clean water, along with the disruption of food supply chains, directly and seriously impacts the health of women and children and limits the health sector's ability to provide basic care.
The organization stated, according to Quds Press Agency, that the continued targeting of health facilities and the denial of aid entry "makes the situation unbearable."
It added that Gaza is facing a very dangerous health and humanitarian scenario that requires urgent intervention from the international community.
The health system in the Gaza Strip has suffered a near-total collapse since the start of the Israeli aggression last October, amid a stifling blockade that prevents the entry of medical equipment, fuel, and medicines, along with ongoing disruptions to the transfer of critical cases for treatment outside the Strip.
According to data from the Palestinian Ministry of Health, more than 70% of health facilities are out of service due to direct targeting or depletion of resources. Meanwhile, the number of wounded people requiring urgent treatment outside Gaza is estimated at tens of thousands, most of whom are children, women, and patients with cancer and chronic diseases.
Israeli enemy authorities impose severe restrictions on the travel of patients through the Rafah or Kerem Shalom crossings, often delaying or denying permits without justification, leading to the deterioration of their health or even their deaths.

Al-Dameer: 54 Palestinians Still Missing Near Aid Centers in Gaza

Gaza – SABA The Palestinian human rights group Al-Dameer Foundation reported Sunday that 54 Palestinians remain missing after heading to Israeli-American aid distribution points in Gaza. The foundation said in a press statement that Israeli forces have not disclosed the fate of those individuals, and they are currently listed as missing persons. According to Safa News Agency, the number of such cases continues to rise, especially near aid zones that have become targets of frequent attacks. The organization warned that lack of safe aid distribution mechanisms is contributing directly to the increase in disappearances. It further revealed that Israeli forces are preventing retrieval of bodies from around these centers, and in some cases, resort to bulldozing them rather than allowing families or rescue teams to collect the dead. Al-Dameer also documented arbitrary detentions, including children, among those waiting for humanitarian aid. Earlier today, the Gaza Ministry of Health announced that the total number of 'Aid Victims'—civilians targeted while queuing for food—has now reached: 1,487 fatalities 10,578 injuries since May 27, 2025. These figures are part of the broader toll of Israel's ongoing war on Gaza, which, as of August 3, has killed 60,839 Palestinians, most of them women and children, and wounded 149,588 others. Thousands remain under rubble or inaccessible due to the ongoing attacks and siege on rescue efforts. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print more of (International)

UN Confirms Over 100 Palestinians Martyred in Two Days at Gaza Aid Distribution Points

New York – Saba: Farhan Haq, Deputy Spokesperson for the UN Secretary-General, stated Friday that more than 100 people were martyred and hundreds injured in Gaza over the past two days while attempting to access food at military aid distribution points. During a daily press briefing, the UN official emphasized that no one should risk their lives to obtain food, stressing the imperative to protect civilians at all costs. He called for unimpeded and sufficient aid distribution to Palestinians in Gaza, warning that months of deprivation have deepened the crisis. Haq underscored the urgent need to remove obstacles hindering aid flow into Gaza and ensure humanitarian workers can perform their duties swiftly and safely. Israeli enemy crimes against Palestinians awaiting aid in Gaza continue daily since the implementation of the "Israeli-American mechanism" supervised by the so-called "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation" on May 27. Earlier Friday, Gaza's Health Ministry reported the total martyrs of the "bread queues" - aid seekers arriving at hospitals - has risen to 1,383 martyrs and over 9,218 injuries since May 27. With American and European support, the Israeli enemy army has committed genocidal crimes in Gaza since October 7, 2023, resulting in 60,332 Palestinian civilian martyrs (mostly women and children) and 147,643 injured - incomplete figures as thousands remain trapped under rubble inaccessible to rescue teams Whatsapp Telegram Email Print

Gaza Ministry: Famine death toll rises to 169, 7 died in last 24 hours

Gaza - Saba: The Palestinian Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced on Saturday that the death toll from famine in the Strip has risen to 169, including 93 children. The ministry said in a statement received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that hospitals in the Gaza Strip recorded 7 new deaths due to famine and malnutrition in the past 24 hours, including one child. The ministry stressed that the humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip continues to worsen under the blockade and shortages of food and medical supplies, renewing its call for immediate and urgent intervention by the international community and relief organizations. Palestinians in the Gaza Strip have been facing an unprecedented wave of hunger since the Israeli enemy closed the Strip's crossings in early March and imposed severe restrictions on the entry of food and relief aid, fuel, and medicine. Over time, Gazans have exhausted all food supplies, shops have become empty, and finding a loaf of bread has become almost impossible. Meanwhile, available goods have seen skyrocketing prices, with "death by starvation" becoming one of the most devastating causes of death in the Strip. Whatsapp Telegram Email Print
