USA star Ilona Maher mulling move to WWE after Rugby World Cup

"I've been approached before by the WWE," she told the BBC, joking that her ring name would be 'Maher-vellous'. "I should think about it, there is great money in it." Maher is the world's most followed rugby player with nearly nine million followers across Instagram and TikTok. She was also a contestant on 'Dancing with the Stars', posed for Sports Illustrated's swimsuit issue and was named best breakthrough athlete at this year's Espys, ESPN's annual award show. Ronnie O'Sullivan shows true colours after Neil Robertson clash

Neil Robertson has opened up about his "incredibly special" relationship with Ronnie O'Sullivan following his triumph over the seven-time world champion to secure the Saudi Arabia Masters title at the weekend. The Australian was compelled to summon his very best snooker to defeat the 'Rocket' in a thrilling final that went Robertson's way by a margin of 10-9. Despite some heated battles across the green baize during their careers, Robertson has revealed the depth of his friendship with one of snooker's greatest legends away from the table. Discussing O'Sullivan, the 43-year-old said: "He calls me pretty frequently. He wants to see me win more world titles and more tournaments, he really wants to see me do well. "To have that kind of relationship with him is incredibly special. He's one of the inspirations for me. Growing up as a kid, there's no way I would have thought as a 14 or 15-year-old that I'll be competing against Ronnie in major finals or I'll be where I am today 30 years later." Reflecting on the thrilling finale he experienced with O'Sullivan on Saturday, Robertson also confessed that he needed to produce his absolute best to emerge triumphant against the persistent danger posed by the 49-year-old. He added: "It's got to go down as one of the greatest finals of all time. "To be a part of that and to be on the right side of it as well. I also believe if he's playing anyone else in the world, then he probably wins today. I think from 7-2 to 7-7. I'm not too Judd [Trump] or Kyren [Wilson] could possibly withstand that. "To be able to withstand the pressure and to be the first person who stood up to him this week when he's come back like an absolute freight train, that's more pleasing than if I went on to win the match 10-4 or 10-5. To win it in this way from 9-8 down and the two breaks I made the last two frames, just amazing." It proved a nail-biting encounter in Jeddah as Robertson established a commanding 7-2 advantage only to discover himself trailing 9-8 following a stunning comeback from O'Sullivan. The Thunder from Down-Under then managed to pip O'Sullivan with a thrilling 10-9 victory to claim a £500,000 jackpot and rocket to third in the world rankings, now hot on the heels of Trump and Wilson. Whilst Robertson claimed the same amount that Zhao Xintong banked for capturing the World Snooker Championship earlier this year, O'Sullivan still secured a decent £200,000 windfall of his own as runner-up. He will now switch his focus to his British Open qualification battle with Lam Sanderson on Friday evening.

Mark Goldbridge and Gary Neville's YouTube channels to show live Bundesliga fixtures

YouTuber Mark Goldbridge has been awarded part of the Bundesliga's live broadcasting rights in the United Kingdom, allowing him to show matches this season. This new agreement - the first time a major European football league has awarded its broadcasting rights to a content creator - will be in place for the Bundesliga's first round of fixtures this weekend, which kicks off on Friday night with defending champions Bayern Munich hosting RB Leipzig. That match — and all other Friday night games for the next two seasons — will be shown live on the BBC, on both the website and the iPlayer while Gary Neville's 'The Overlap' and Goldbridge's 'That's Football' channels will share those rights, showing 20 live Friday night games in 2025-26 in watch-along formats. All games will be free-to-air while the Bundesliga's own YouTube channel will be live broadcasting all Friday night games in the Bundesliga and Bundesliga 2, the second tier of German football. The Overlap currently has over 1.5m subscribers, while Goldbridge's That's Football, boasts a further 1.39m subscribers. 'That's Football will stream 20 live Bundesliga matches on Friday nights as well as creating 34 weekly shows in 25/26 – the first creator channel with official league rights," Goldbridge's channel posted on Twitter. 'A landmark deal putting That's Football alongside Sky, BBC & Amazon in the Bundesliga UK strategy.' Goldbridge, whose real name is Brent di Cesare, posted: 'Thanks to the community for helping us build this. We keep moving.'
