CNBC host brutally shuts down Elizabeth Warren as the senator defends Mamdani's policies
On Monday, the pair were involved in a fiery battle as Faber criticised Mamdani's economic policy proposals as he runs to be NYC's next mayor.
'You mentioned Mamdani, and you are in New York, sort of speaking on behalf of him to a certain extent. New York does not operate in a vacuum. It competes with other cities,' he said.
'So this idea of somehow raising taxes on the wealthiest New Yorkers, who, by the way, would point out pay roughly 15 per cent of their income right now between city and state. Raising taxes on them will simply drive them away.'
The CNBC host questioned whether New York City's next possible mayor should be more concerned about helping his constituents rather than running businesses out.
Warren hit back at Faber's question, arguing the biggest issue facing New Yorkers is the lack of affordable housing and groceries.

‘Fakes and frauds': Elizabeth Warren and Zohran Mamdani seen ‘cosying up'
Author Douglas Murray discusses 'fakes' and 'frauds' Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren and Democrat New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani after the New York Post released an image of the pair on the front page. Mr Murray claims Mr Mamdani carries 'toxic politics'. 'Mamdani, when he was applying to university among other things some years ago, said that he was an African American, he wasn't actually an American at the time, let alone an African American,' Mr Murray told Sky News host Rita Panahi. 'It's not surprising that Elizabeth Warren has cosied up to him; she will get onto anything that she thinks is new, glitzy and radical.'
