ROB HOLDING has been released by Crystal Palace after making just one appearance for the London side.
The 29-year-old joined the Eagles from Arsenal for £4million in September 2023 but struggled to break into the squad.

Now, having made just one first team appearance, he finds himself without a club.
A statement from Crystal Palace announcing his departure read: "Crystal Palace F.C. can confirm that Rob Holding has left the club.
"Holding joined Palace in September 2023 from fellow Premier League side Arsenal.
"The defender spent the latter half of last season on loan at Sheffield United, where he played 12 times.

"The club wishes Rob well for his future career."
Holding moved to Crystal Palace after falling out of favour at Arsenal.
The defender had made 162 appearances for the Gunners during his seven-year stay.
He was originally signed from Bolton in 2016 for just £2m.

Holding made his only appearance for Crystal Palace in a 3-0 defeat to Manchester United three weeks after joining.
He was banished from the first team squad last September and forced to train alone after a fallout with Oliver Glasner.

The manager said at the time: "Rob [Holding] is training individually at the moment.
"We will talk together. He knows the reason, but it is something that stays between Rob and me. Nothing public."
Holding spent the second half of last season on loan at Sheffield United and made 11 appearances.
He was recently linked with a move to the MLS with a number of clubs monitoring his situation.

Gunn, 29, who featured in every game for Scotland at Euro 2024, made 35 appearances for Norwich in the Sky Bet Championship last season and 172 in total during two spells at his hometown club. The 21-year-old midfielder, who can also deputise in defence, has 11 caps for the Zambia national team. He has played in the Champions League with the Swiss club, featuring as a substitute against Celtic last season, but looks set to leave after being left out of the matchday squads for his club's opening two league fixtures. According to Hibs Observer, Hibs have entered negotiations with Young Boys over a move for Chaiwa, with French side Montpellier also credited with an interest. Hearts finally land Kabore Derek McInnes is confident Pierre Landry Kabore can build on his prolific stint in Estonia after the Burkina Faso forward was finally able to complete his transfer to Hearts on a three-year contract. 'I had to be a big boy and make sure it didn't ruin my summer and it helps that I've developed a good work-life balance. 'I've got children who are all happy and healthy, so you just keep plugging away, sticking at it, giving it your best shot.' And that will mean turning pain into gain at the CBS Arena after the agonising near-miss. 'It was turning into a special story - we were one step away from Wembley and playing really well, particularly in those playoff games,' he added. 'It ultimately came down to small details - chances you don't convert and a header that comes off a shoulder and goes in. 'There was deep disappointment but you get over that because it's football and you have no choice but to start again. 'I spoke to lot of people over the summer. I met Coventry fans and neutrals and they all told me how well we'd done. 'That made me feel proud but my job is to understand that the hard work starts again.' Lampard added: 'We'd made all these strides and then when you miss out, you feel as manager of a club that you have a big responsibility in it. 'I still had a relatively good summer because I was with my family and had a break. 'But there were things, I was thinking all the time. I'm just thinking how can we do better and how can we try and start the season better. 'I can't wait to get back to the competitive games. I'm raring to go.'
