police received a report of a disturbance at an apartment on Broughton Drive. According to the log, a man who was visiting a resident in one apartment entered the wrong unit by mistake. The leasing staff confirmed that the man was not an intruder; he was indeed a guest who simply lost his way, and the resident who was hosting him came to the leasing office to get him.

police called a 54-year-old resident about a 2024 Tesla Model 3 that had recently been vandalized in front of his home. Police asked the man to come down to the station to talk about it and he agreed. After he arrived at the station police showed the man a video clip that allegedly showed him damaging the Tesla by keying it along the driver's side. When asked what prompted him to drag a key across the car's exterior, 'his answer was that he was fed up with people parking on his street that did not live there,' police wrote. When police mentioned that a second vehicle had been damaged in the same spot, and a note was left on that vehicle, he denied damaging that vehicle but 'did however admit to leaving a note on the car,' police wrote. In total, over $3,000 worth of items were stolen from various stores. Officials conducted a "shoplifting blitz" operation in the Lakeline Mall area. This operation was conducted as an ongoing effort to help local retailers to stop shoplifting. The backstory On Tuesday, June 3, around 12:50 p.m., officers responded to a report at Kohl's, at 11111 Lakeline Blvd., regarding two people who were removing security tags and unpaid hiding merch while in the store. When officers arrived, they spoke with store employees, who told them the suspects hid several items in reusable shopping bags and a woman's purse. Officers then found the suspects as they left the store with the stolen items. The suspects got into a black Tesla with the stolen merch and were then taken into custody. About $1,600 worth of merch was stolen from Kohl's. They also found several other stolen items worth around $2,000 that were taken from H-E-B and Home Depot on the same day. There were even stolen items from a Walmart in Buda a few days prior. Officers also found evidence of identity theft and fraud, as well as meth. Ada Johnson was charged with theft with two prior convictions and unlawful possession of a controlled substance. Daryl Johnson was charged with theft. Lori Vallow Daybell back in court, charged with conspiracy to murder ex nephew-in-law
PHOENIX, Arizona (ABC4) — Lori Vallow Daybell is back in court, charged with conspiring to commit the attempted murder of her former nephew-in-law, Brandon Boudreaux. Daybell is charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree murder of Brandon Boudreaux, the ex-husband of her niece, Melani. Boudreaux alleges he was shot at while returning home on Oct. 2, 2019. Daybell is representing herself in the trial, as she did in her Arizona trial on conspiring to murder her estranged husband, Charles Vallow, where she was found guilty. Daybell was also previously sentenced for murder and conspiracy to murder her children, Joshua 'JJ' Vallow, 7, and Tylee Ashlyn Ryan, 16. She was sentenced to prison and is currently serving five life sentences for the crimes. Lori Vallow Daybell given 5 life sentences in prison for murder of her two children In the final chapter of the Lori Vallow Daybell trials, prosecutors are accusing Daybell of conspiring with her late brother, Alex Cox, to kill Boudreaux outside of his Gilbert home back in 2019. He gave emotional testimony of the events that took place that day, where he was reportedly shot at, but not hit. 'This defendant, Lori Vallow Daybell, has been charged with conspiracy to commit the first-degree murder of Brandon Boudreaux on October 2nd of 2019. The evidence in this case will prove to you beyond reasonable doubt that this defendant conspired with Alex Cox and others to kill Brandon,' said Prosecutor Treena Kay. Boudreaux said he went to the gym, then came home, and as he was waiting for his garage door to open, he noticed a Jeep with Texas plates on the side of the road that was parked awkwardly. He said the car moved in, the back window of the Jeep opened, and he saw the muzzle of a gun. At this point, he heard a bang and the window of his Tesla shattered. He immediately started driving, thinking someone had shot at him. Boudreaux then called 911 as he drove to the neighborhood pool. Police arrived and he talked with officers, realizing that someone had tried to kill him. Lori Vallow Daybell found guilty of conspiracy to murder husband Boudreaux also asserted before the jury that Daybell played a part in his divorce, claiming she influenced his ex-wife, Melani Pawlowski. The second day of Daybell's trial in Arizona was held on Friday, as witnesses and evidence were presented before the jury. Daybell was asked to leave the room after an argument with the judge, in which she had raised her voice in discussing whether her 'good character' could later be presented before the court. As the day progresses, evidence and witness testimony continue to be presented before the jury, including forensic evidence relating to the gunshot residue, provided by the detective involved in the case. Driver suspected in fatal wrong-way crash on I-95 that killed Endicott College police sergeant to face charges in N.H.
Advertisement The Endicott police sergeant, Duarte was previously arraigned on charges in Essex Superior Court in March, after a New Hampshire authorities say troopers saw Duarte traveling in a Tesla heading south on the interstate's northbound lanes just before midnight. They notified Massachusetts State Police, who spotted Duarte as he crossed into Massachusetts, the statement said. Duarte continued south and collided with Cole's 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer in Newbury, authorities said. Cole was pronounced dead at the scene. Duarte suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries, officials said. Advertisement At the hospital, officials found Duarte's blood alcohol level showed a reading of .16, double the legal limit, according to Massachusetts prosecutors. Duarte allegedly drove the wrong way on the highway for about 14 miles before the crash, officials said. New Hampshire State Police said Duarte was initially heading north on I-95 in Hampton and pulled into the parking lot of a New Hampshire state liquor store on the northbound side of the highway. Security video of the lot allegedly showed Duarte driving through before departing through the entrance at about 11:45 p.m. It was not immediately clear Friday if Duarte was being represented by an attorney in the New Hampshire case.
